I've never played a "premium" ball before and I think that $39 is quite a bit for 12 golf balls but I had to give them a shot. I've been hitting all of those distance golf balls and it's kinda funny but these seem to go further??? The cool thing is that they're not so darn hard. I got a dozen of the ProV1s and played with those as well. You know the deal, it's a Monday afternoon and everyone else is working so I'm hitting 3 or 4 balls... At any rate, the Pro V1s are a little softer and definitely spin a lot and I mean a lot! I guess I'm just used to the cheap balls and going for the pin. With these balls and a 52* wedge from about 110 I'd hit the center of the green and the damn balls would spin back off??? What's up with that? Should you hit a club longer and try to spin it back to the hole? Why? I mean if you're aiming at the pin and I do (not necessarily getting very close a lot of the time)??? I guess they just take some getting used to and my swing needs a lot of work (more than I can afford). If you like the ball to go a long way and like for it to dance on the green, then either of these balls are for you. I like the Pro V1x but it still spins quite a bit on the greens. I mean they advertise stop and drop, not stop, drop and roll back 20 feet... Here's one for ya, I thought the pros were just really, really cool in that they could make the ball do anything (don't get me wrong, they can) but anyone who hits the ball reasonably hard will have trouble getting this thing to stay in one place. Back to the Dunlop DDH 110s - explosive distance? Not compared to the Pro V1x. Stops on a dime though with a wedge (kinda like an asteroid falling from the heavens). The Dunlops are like hitting rocks but they don't get sliced up every third hole and when you do shank one in to the woods, big f'n deal. I like the Titleist Tour HVCs from SamsClub for $12 a dozen, again not as long as the Pro V1 and certainly no where near as soft, but they're durable and stop where they land. I know, what an idiot, blah blah blah but I just don't see the $3-$4 a ball thing - but then again they sure do go a long, long way...

I bought a dozen of these balls early this spring but have waited for the warm weather to arrive to try them. I finally started using them last week and have been fairly pleased. Off the tee, WOW! This ball tends to fly with a medium trajectory for a LONG time then hit and roll for a LONG way also. My driver swingspeed is in the range recommended for this ball (115+) and I think that this ball only benefits the harded swinger, as advertised. While it is long off the tee I find it to be average with the irons, but with decent holding ability. Certainly not the gripping power of the regular ProV1 or my old favorite, the Maxfli A-10, but not bad. It also seems to putt well and performs decently on chips and pitches. A great performer in the wind also. Overall, a decent ball with excellent distance potential. It's price keeps me from rating this ball higher.

The first time I put this ball into play, was at a high school match in early May. The first tee shot with the ball was straight down the middle and the approach that followed was spot on resulting in an easy two put. I am a fifteen year old with has a normal swing speed of around 100mph. Despite Titleist's claims of this ball only being effective for those with higher swing speeds, this ball has worked quite well for my level of play. So far my tee shots have been 5-10 yards longer, not spectacular but it results in a club less into greens. On the approach shots, I have seen a high trajectory with a little release after impact, around 2-10ft depending on the club used. One of the highlights of this ball is the putting characteristics it exhibits. Putts role true especially if the dimple-less line on the ball is used. This ball will stay in my bag for as long as it is manufactured, and it has made a positive impact on my game.

I've read a lot of these reviews so I figured it was time I'd return the favor. These are excellent balls and although my swing speed is only 105, I hit them longer than the Pro V1's, possibly because of the lower launch angle! I can also stop them within a few feet. If they were cheaper I'd stick with them, but I may look at some alternatives. Longest ball I've played, but Noodle is very close.

Good strait, durable ball. Stops and hops about a 1-3 ft on the greens -I think that is perfect. Great from the fairway, runs alittle around the green but you can adjust. This one isn't for me, though. When I hit it on the screws w/my driver it is as long and maybe a bit longer than when I hit the Pro V1. However, I have a swing speed w/the driver of around 105 -Carry ~260-275. Titleist recommends that to use a V1x you should be at least 115. I have to agree. It is especially noticable on mis-hits w/the driver. At twilight I tee'd off 5 of each in my unscientific test. I found that w/my slower speed I hit the V1 further than the V1X -again especially noticable when mis-hit. This ball is not for everyone. I think the NXT tour is a cheaper and better ball for someone w/less than 115mph driver speed who wants V1x results.

OK I got some of these for out driving a sales guy on a SIM at the store. He hit the new Callaway driver and I hit my 983-E. He lost and I got the balls (a three pack) Anyway, all I can say is that for me and probably any good golfer, this is the perfect ball. It does everything great, distance, stopping power, putting purity, all of it just great. I won't buy any until the price drops buts that ok because all the hacks at the local track buy em and loose em the same day. I just walk along picking em up here and there.

After playing the professional and then the prov 1, I was amazed at how far the x went. I am fairly long already but the x added at least 10 yards off the tee and proved to be more forgiving with less spin. The prov 1 holds better than the x around the greens and offers much more touch on putts. If you want to bomb it off the tee go x other wise i recommend the pro v1. may want to wait until Titleist comes out with a new ball and the price of the x's goes down.

This ball is one of the first technological advancements that really helps the low handicap player. Have added about 20 yards off driver and enables me to expand range of wedge shots. I have found that while it does not spin like Prov1,I have had no trouble stopping it on fairly firm greens. Just a tremendous ball.

Great ball for my game. I hit it very high and with too much backspin with every club. Instead of my Driver backing up in the fairway it releases after seemingly hanging for ever in the air. At least 10-15 yards further than ProV1 and ProV1*. Irons still spin plenty to hold greens. Not they are not backing up all the time. Not every ball is for everyones game but this one fits me PERFECTLY!
