Titleist DT Solo Balls

Titleist DT Solo Balls

DESCRIPTION

The New Titleist DT SoLo features a soft compression, high velocity core and a soft Surlyn blend cover. This combination provides lower driver spin for long distance off the tee. The very low spin also helps golfers to minimize unintentional hook and slice sidespin for straighter distance. Unlike many other low spin distance golf balls, the DT SoLo still provides soft feel on all shots tee-to-green.

I hate 2 piece balls, i hate them! My boss at the golf store mentioned above said they spin just enough, including around the green, and putt soft...holy crap do they ever. Played a tight top rated tom lehman design course today. Drives very straight plus the above mentioned attributes are true, on a course that plays pretty fast all around. This ball gets my mark, i play to a 7-8 hc! Try it...

Having played nothing but Titleist for years I really wanted to like this ball, and I do. It has a nice feel, good distance and is durable. However, I've noticed on mis hits that there is a significant drop in distance which is to be expected. However, I think that it is more significant than other balls I've played. At best, it only hold the greens as well as other low compression balls, definitely not better. If you really like the SoLo, also check out the Srixon Soft Feel. It's a great ball but I've seen the similar loss in distance on mis hits but it feels softer and I think holds the green better and is more durable. I also really like the Dunlop LoCo. It takes off even on mis hits, holds the greens well and has a soft feel. However, it's lacking in durability, not in that it scuffs or cuts. But after a round the logo is starting to come off, show wear, etc.

This ball does what the box says. Itreacts very well with my TaylorMade 360 w/ R80shaft. It seems to like the moderate swing speed with my club. I'm not a ProV user so I can't compare issues. It's alot better than the Lady MC.

this is the best golf ball I have ever played and it doesn't cut(if it does you get three free). Maxfli clames that the noodle is long and soft. I guess that they haven't played this ball. It is like the ultimate ball. Great distance, I gained 15 yards off Callaway HX 2 piece Blue. The ball gets good spin and bites on short irons. The feel is great. The ball is as stright as an arrow. So far this is the best ball on the market. If you don't believe me, try it.

Replaced my Titleist 975J with a 983K, same loft and shaft specs. Big sweet spot, ie lots of fairways, but disappointing distance. Almost traded it back in until Uinta Golf suggested I switch from the ProV 1 to an X or maybe even the SoLo to find a spin rate that worked for my launch angle. The X was better, maybe +5 yards on average, but the SoLo was unquestionably longer, and maybe straighter as well. Every drive went at least as far or sometimes ridiculously farther than my regular ball. It seems to have adequate stick into greens. Mid iron shots release a couple of feet more than the ProV, but short irons stay close to where they land. My course has soft greens and I hit my irons fairly high - if your ball flight is low you might get a different result. Also, gaining enough distance to hit 1-2 less clubs on approach shots nullifys the extra release. Nice feel off the putter. Seem to be very durable. Inexpensive. Good ball. Solved my driver issue.

Customer Service

Don't know about Titleist, but Uinta is great.

Bought a dozen SoLo's and a dozen Strata "Tour Ace's" at Academy. I like the Strata's for the most part...good distance and feel..but not very durable and a little pricey. I alternated playing each type for the past couple weeks and have fallen in love with the SoLo's!! they are long, straight & durable. I've been tryng for years to break 70 and I did it this morning[5-25-03] using 1 SoLo all day! Had 6 birdies and 2 bogies for a 68!!It still looks practically new[Not 1 scuff]. I'm going to frame it with the scorecard. I'm pumped up obviously!! Go get a couple dozen....it will be the only ball you will want to play from now on....I PROMISE!

Played nxt's, pro v's, and maxfli noodles before and I like the low compression balls best. The distance I have gotten from this ball is 10-15 yds further than any other ball I have played with driver (taylor made 320 w?graffaloy powerlite shaft). For first time ever at local club, I hit over a 480 yd par 5 in two. Even downwind I have never done that before. Give this ball a try, you won't be sorry.

Decided to give these balls a try. Extremely pleased thus far with their performance. Very happy with the distance off the tee, along with teir performance with long or short irons. I usually prefer a softer ball, this one fits the bill. The only drawback to these balls is perhaps a lack of spin and control onto the green on those approach shots, but then again they're not pro-v1s, and they cost half as much. To sum it up, I recommend these balls to all except perhaps a scratch or near scratch golfer who's looking for a great performing, great feeling, very durable and cut-proof ball at a reasonable cost.
