I used to play in the 80's/90's now I can play scratch golf thanks to Dalton's system. I just saw on the Golf Channel, Homero Blancas talking about releasing his hands as soon as he can and also keeping his hands "next to his money". What a concept. My distance has increased dramatically. I can only say, that the people who have problems with this system, is that they must be doing it wrong.

These tapes are fine!! What are all the bad reviews for?? Sure, Dalton basically spends 2 hours banging home the same point - the clubface should be square at impact the rest of the swing is just to get it there - but what a good point!! I've played golf properly for 1 year, I started to get very good but was told my swing looked awful! Tried changing it then lost my game altogether. Got Daltons tapes in desperation, and hey presto, went down the range and hit some cracking shots. These tapes are not flawless, there are inconsistancies and its not really that well presented, and cetainly in my opinion, unsuitable for anyone who plays off 12 or better. But for those beginnning and shootin in the nineties this will give you lots of help and probably give you an improved swing. It may not work for everyone, but it is certainly worth a go. I've only watched the videos once but they seem to have worked for me. All the best Dalton.

I have just got the 4 video set the perfect swing programmer and the short game set. after reading some reviews on this site i was slightly unsure as to if it would work but decided to go for it. I am a 17hcp golfer who played out of the trees so why not. I watched the videos once and didnt do any of the drills as Dalton said i should. The day after i went to my local range armed with just my nine iron. Usually the 9iron goes left to right about 120yrds. I did what Dalton said and it went dead straight and caried the 150yrd marker easy. i even paused at the top and had a conversation with my dad in the next booth and it still went dead straight 150. So in my humble opinion give it a go if it dont work go back to your old swing you have not lost anything other than the time it took to watch the video. I cant wait to start the drills so i can confidently use it on the course but i am starting tonight if it stops raining!!!!! Oh before i go i have had loads of private lessons with my Golf Pro. He is also my cousin so i know i dont get ripped off because he doesnt charge me and i have not got the instant results that i have with daltons method so i would say give it a go. My dad is a 8hcp golfer and my sisters boyfriend is a 4hcp golfer and that day at the range i hit my 9 iron farther and straighter than both of them so that speaks for itself really doesnt it. Even if you dont get anything from the video's in an instrctional sense then you may get a few laughs as Dalton really is a funny guy (not sure if intentional or just my sence of humour) Where can i get the putting video in PAL version is what i want to know because last time i played i three putted 12 out of 18 greens (and i didnt use Daltons method i used my old swing because i have not had time to practice with my long irons so i dont know how far they will go!!!!!! Which is a good thing because i know they will go straight) The most important thing that Dalton stresses is to incorporate the method into your natural swing not to change your swing like most Pro's have you doing

I was a useful 15 handicapper until I bought this video.I lost twenty to thirty yards with all my clubs and completly messed up my swing to the point of almost giving up the game.last week I took a lesson from an excellent club pro who corrected my terrible "wristy" swing within 5 minutes. you can only take a divot when you hit down on the ball. Whats the point of taking a one inch divot when the club is sweeping the club off the ground. The club must strike the ball and ground at the same time, this is not possible with this type of swing.Dalton says " if your not using your wristies your losing power", absolute trash. this video wrecked my game for a year think carefully before making a purchase.

I bought the videos about 3 years ago and they really improved my game. I didn't notice the loss of distance that many reviewers talk about because nothing is shorter than a big banana ball into the right rough. I would say they took about ten strokes off my game, and I didn't really practice the drills that much. I stopped golfing for about a year, and when I picked it back up again this year, my slice returned with a vengance. So, I watched his tapes again, and I'm hitting the ball straighter again. My goal is to play in the eighties, and I believe that Daltons swing will get me there.

This works for me, I'm not a vast amout better yet (just had the videos a couple of weeks and I'm after some new clubs anyway, I've only got some old hand me downs, now at least I know why it fades when all seems perfect, I hit the ground toe first, my divots aren't flat, confirming Dalton's theory), but "straight back (1), straight up (and), START to release and transfer weight as I BEGIN the downswing, this is NOT casting (roll), don't change peripherial vision, get my hands next to my money" and the ball goes DEAD straight EVERY time (presuming I don't wack the world first and pull the face wide open), the only reason anything else happens (and it does), is because I don't do the above EVERY time, that's why I'm not a scratch golfer, I CAN par ANY hole on ANY course (no, not 495 yard pro par 4's, I mean normal holes, I hit a driver 250ish, 6 iron 150ish etc), all I need is consistancy, it'll come with practise. And talking of length, I can't believe anyone really cares if it cost's a few yards per club (I've lost about half a club) who needs to hit a 7 iron 180+? Straight is all most of us want, if I can hit the ball 250 with a driver, and progress down through woods and irons knowing how far each goes AND if I could ALWAYS hit it straight, I'd hit every green in regulation and presuming I 2 putted I'd play off scratch, that'd be OK(!). In fact if you could hit it dead straight you'd break 80 with just your irons, score around 100 with just an 8 iron and putter (think about that all you, me alot of the time, 100+ golfers, as Dalton says "what's wrong with this?" waving his hand up and down in a straight line. Theres a 210 yard par 3 on my home club, I take a 5 wood to it, my friend takes a 7 iron, so what? Par is par, any 3 shots will do. The card "doesn't say how, it just says how many" If I could cut out the duffs, fats, thins and 3 (& 4) putts, I'd crack 90 easy, thats just practice and concentration, a simple swing can only help, I'll never be pro, I just want to beat my friends (on gross score), and I aspire to scratch, that's all 99.999% of golfers do. People who hit in the 70's are very good anyway, it's probably not wise to take your swing to pieces following a video, if your hitting in the 100's or worse and have no real plan on how you are swinging, if you're just trying to clout the ball, give it a go.

Great stuff. Really gives you the fundamentals in a new light. The myth of the delayed release is something that pro's have known about for years but for some reason we get told to delay the release. Dalton puts it all together here. Even my boyfriend R&B watched the tapes with me and improves his game. Now we spend lonely hours on the golf course trying to see who can shoot it the straightest (I usually win;)

Model Reviewed: How to hit the golf ball straight....

I got the system and watched it several times and did a few of the drills. I went to the range and had very little improvement. THEN, I got me a tire and REALLY started to practice for about 30 min. a day, a few days straight. The difference is like night and day. If you're using this program without a tire, you're NOT following it properly. Dalton says on the tapes repeatedly " If you can do it on the back porch with a tire, then you can do it all day long on the golf course". Now I don't waste my time or money on golf magazines or the like. Nor, do I have to listen to all the lame advice from playing partners, which didn't do anything but confuse me more (guess where they were getting all those tips...yep, magazines and the like). I realize now, my mind was totally garbled with conflicting data. Dalton breaks it down in easy progressive steps with drills. My baseball coach taught me to swing a bat with the same simple approach and it worked the same. I may not be a great golfer but, I can confidently get the ball from tee to green and keep it between the bark the whole way. That alone, makes me feel like a tour player. Thanks Dalton!
