Golfers, If you can't understand what Dalton is teaching you will never understand the golf swing. These tapes are just too good. His philosophy is as sound as Hogan's Five Lessons and much easier to understand and apply. I give it 5 stars. I even got Dalton's personal e-mail, have e-mailed him many times and he answers my questions instantly. For those of you who would like to ask him a question direct I'm sure he would welcome your e-mails as he does everyone. Str8Golfer@aol.com His tapes? Worth every second of you time and money.

To anyone that is an 80s shooter and dogs this product, you must be terriable. Especially if you claim you are a long baller and still can't break 80. I mean WOW, you people are giving advice about golf and and you yourselves are hackers. Don't anyone claim they're a long ball hitter unless you can carry 300, and if you are, your short game is horriable. How many tournament have Rick Smith won, 0, exactly, because you see there is a difference between tournament play and a casual game. Plus ,why would they play, they get payed $500 an hour. Anyone who takes their advice will be hacking it around all their life. Plus, why would they want you to get better, if you did they would lose business. That's why they always want a follow up visit, to hit you up for another 100. If you did get better instantly they would never see you agian. What do you have to lose in buying these tapes, this concept can be proven scientifically by Newtons LAWS of the Universe, all of the other popular concepts cannot. REMEMBER that only 2% of people that play golf can break 80, yet the other 97% ALWAYS want to give you advise. So take it from someone that is in that 2% bracket, and have been since I was 11, this WORKS. And please DO NOT take advice from someone who can't at least break 80. That would be like somone teaching you how to drive a car, when they themselves don't have a license. By the way the grip he teaches is square not weak like others claim. Your right hand has the same angle as the club, and your left opposes it, which makes it NEUTRAL.

I've been playing golf for only 2.5 months following a stint of lessons from a Pro whilst on holiday in America. On the driving range, 90% of my shots were bad slices, and my distance when I did connect correctly, was best described as "mediocre". I bought Daltons video's in a search for a quick fix, to break through the 100 barrier - most of my friends and colleagues advised me that I shouldn't expect to break 100 for at least 18 months from the point of starting playing. My first round ever, was 121. Well, the first time I played after watching the video's I saw absolutely no improvement ( I hadn't practised the drills ). Determined, I watched the videos over and over again, and practised Daltons swing ( though I'm sure I haven't got it right yet - its only been a week ). I played twice last week and went round in 104, and 105, only 2 months after picking up a club for the first time. More importantly, I can't believe how straight I can hit the ball, in a relatively quick period of time. I've read the negative reviews, and perhaps the lower handicap golfers writing in the negative vein are more entitled than I am, to properly analyse whether or not Dalton's method is correct or not, but its certainly working for me. Ultimately, how can anybody complain or criticise a guy, who offers you a full refund if not entirely satisfied with his product. Beats me, but there's nowt as queer as folk, they say.. Here's to you Dalton. I've got the bug, and I know I'll smash through the targets I'm setting myself if I can perfect your swing. To anybody considering a purchase - what can you lose. If you already have a swing that works - don't try to fix it !! For those of us that haven't - its definately worth the money.

I am a Junior golfer in the UK (aged 14), who plays off fifthteen (and now coming down), and I usually shoot in the low to mid-eighties. Having came across Shop America, I saw them talking about Dalton's product, and kept on nagging at my mum, to let me buy it, over and over. She let me and my twin brother buy it, and it came within about a week and a half. I still can't understand why people are posting bad comments about Dalton McCrary's Straight Shootin' Golf. Having watched the video tapes, and practised the drills and such, I played the next day, and got instant results! I was hitting the ball farther, straighter, and better than I ever had before, and am now beating my dad, who is a nine to ten handicapper, really! My brother has also recieved brilliant results. Maybe it won't do much to a scratch handicappers game, but that is still no reason to come here critisizing, his theories are correct, and work. Okay, so maybe his video tapes aren't perfect, but this is a brillant thing, you will learn more in a matter of hours, than you ever had from your PGA Professional, or in twenty years of playing the game! You learn nothing useful from pros, they just want your money, so I am recommending this product for you now. Go for it, good luck, and have fun! :)

Which PGA tour player's use Dalton as their Swing coach? Oh, I guess there aren't any. How many tour events did Good Ol' Boy win? Hmmm, I guess the answer is none. What a coincidence. Rick Smith is the swing coach for many of the top pros. He calls Dalton's philosophy incorrect. Please everybody, don't waste your money on Mcfairy's system. Find your local pga professional, and getyourself some solid fundamentals you can build upon. I hit the ball straight and long. I have tremendous club lag that allows me to deliver a powerful impact on the ball. Dalton's method wiil keep you playing on the white tees instead of from the tips like me. You should see the tee box back there. Real nice!! Not big divots back there like the white tees, where all the McCrary followers are hitting their wristee moon shots and taking driver divots. LOL :)

Sound advice,if you are playing golf in the 80's,there is no way you can criticise the fundamentals of this video ie,one piece take away, rolling the wrists and weight transfer. As Mccrary says it isn't rocket science. If you are shooting in the 80's this will certainly get you in to the 70's.

Dalton's method is not sound. Straight back, straight up?? That's not the way the golf swing works. Sorry Pardner!!(As dingleberry Dalton would say) And yes, that is a Weak grip he teaches!! He tries to hide his ideas behind a legend like Harvey Pennick. Just because Harvey Pennick knew the importance of a good grip does not mean he would have endorsed Dalton's! This is a very poor system. Extremely flawed. You will look silly and play poorly with this system. If you want to improve your game, look to Rick Smith or David Leadbetter for instruction.

My handicap is 18 and I have struggled to play to it this year and at times have been dreadful. So when I saw this advertised I thought it was worth a gamble. What a great product very easy and logical to understand and simple training methods. I am delighted to say that after watching this set of videos I practised at the local driving range and found instant results hitting the ball much cleaner longer and straighter. Then to the golf course. With an average front nine two weeks ago I switched my swing to accomodate daltons instructions and low and behold 4 birdies on back nine with 1 one under par total for the back nine holes. Then last weekend two pars in first six holes followed by 11 consecutive pars for a total score of +8. My best ever score!!!! Thank you Mr Dalton you are right. Adopt your technique and the money does stay in your pocket.

For anybody who says that the early release is bogus go look at the worlds longest drivers, no not Tiger or John Daly look at Jason Zuback or Jack Hamm these guys hit it over 400 yards and swing at over 150 mph, nowhere near tiger. Their club head is nearly 6 inches infront of their hands at impact, this creats a snap, not a pull and release. For anybody that shoots in the hundreds and writes a bad report on there distance needs to go and check this out. Try this, set up to a ball normaly take it back and at impact make the club head out race your hands, and have your right knee outrace the clubhead, it is nearly impossiable to miss hit it. You will be creating a snap like a whip not a pulled down delayed hinged weak move. Also if you think that your local pro wants you to get any better you are crazy. If you got better he would go out of business, he would rather drag your progression over a long period of time then have you get better. He would of course say that this program is terriable but thats because he would like to drain you out of several hundred dollars. Another bit of advice for the people complaining that their equipment is holding them back, the bottom line is that you still have to square up the face, the ball dosent know what you are hitting.
