The guy who made this tapes and booklets deserves that us golfers build him a statue. I have tried all what is explained in the first two tapes (the friend I lended them from, did not buy the short game tapes) everything works, not one thing said or shown in the tapes or book can be discussed (or in his words makes sense), after two afternoons on an indoor range and hours spent in front of a mirror, I took my new swing to an outdoor range. There, Bingo 10 to 15 % more length per club (i.e up to 15 meter for a wedge, 30 meter for a driver - but most important as straight as you can point with your finger - as publicised), a bad shot is now a a slight fade or draw ( to be clear not a hook, a pull, a push or a slice, which happened too often earlier)It is incredible to find out that shooting straight 99% of the time, transform you in a long hitter, as you know that the ball will go straight in the direction you aim for, you can therefore concentrate in details such as not waisting any energy in the shot (fat shots or thin shots are gone as well). I have gone back to the range 5 times, to verify that I had not lost my new swing, even tried it on the course (with winter greens), there again the result is not short of amazing. Even took a lesson at my club with my usual pro, to verify that I was not dreaming. The pro who knew my swing for ages, asked me after ten minutes: Why did you want a lesson ? Do you have a twin brother ? What have you done to your swing during the last winter ? Have you had lessons with somebody else ? etc.. To make a long story short, I have not become a scrach player overnight thanks to two video tapes and a couple of booklets but am convinced that I can drop from a 11 handicap a 5-6 handicap (when the spring time comes back), and given practice, more practice (inc. Short game) and physical training, will go even lower, as I know now when I stand in front of the ball, I am in no doubt that the ball will go straight, so I can concentrate on details concerning my balance, club head speed, hitting the ball on the sweet spot with any club, as long as my muscle memory knows how to deliver a ball in the direction parallel to my feet. Apart of the fact I do not like the accent from this guy from Texas, I thank him to have shown me where the Golf Holy grail was: and I did not even pay for it!!! Highly recommend this product, only had it 3 weeks but can already say its working. You must read the work book as well as view the tapes, there are some great tips in the book. The so called secret is the way Mr McCrary delivers the instruction. I can think back to pro instruction that just didnt register, I heard it differently on this program and it sunk in straight away. I play off 9 and on a good day can play to 2 or 3, the 1st time I played after watching this I shot 90 and was distraught. I thought about sending it back but I watched the whole thing again and picked up on the programme and print part of the instruction. I practiced hard all week and when Saturday came I when out there in print mode and shot a level 71. I cannot tell you how inportant it is to keep reading the book and viewing the tapes, there is no magic secret, you just have to understand the content, practice the drills, practice on the range, then forget about your swing on the course and let it happen. Cant wait for next comp so I can get my handicap down. Mr McCrary, thanks for the lesson. Customer Service delivered within 7 days Similar Products Used: Professional lessons |

Straight Shootin Golf
I'm 48 years old and have been playing golf seriously for about five years. My handicap is 13 (was going up), about a year ago I was as low as 10. I'm obsessed with golf and have tried many methods to improve my game and spent lots of money on golf lessons, gadgets, swing trainers etc. Recently, I have gone from bad to worse and this really depressed me. Although very sceptical, as a last desperate gasp, before giving up, I decided to purchase the Straight Shootin Golf program. Firstly, I have to criticise the product, the quality of the video tapes is very poor and it took me a while to actually understand Dalton's accent. That’s the criticism over. I viewed the video a few times absorbing about 75% of the instruction. Dalton is right he is no Rocket Scientist but he does have an amusing, unpatronising way of getting the point over. So I thought I'd put his words of wisdom to the test in a competition last Sunday. On the first tee I miss-timed a 7 iron but the ball went reasonable straight for about 100 yards, at that point I thought so much for the system! On the second I took another 7 iron and hit a straight shot 150 yards, short but straight. On the third I took a Driver and hit a great 'straight' drive 250 yards against the wind. That was the kick-start, after that I played easily the best golf I've played in 2 years. To be honest I did hit about five to six poor shots in between but, generally my game was very, very good. I went on to win the competition by 1 point, with 46 Stableford points. So far I'm delighted with the system and can't wait to see the chipping and putting elements. For the first time, I have a good idea of what I'm doing and, most important of all, when it goes wrong I've a good idea how to put it right. My seven year old has also watched the video and if he could understand Dalton then I think he would be hitting the ball clean and straight too! I would recommend this program to all fellow golfers, regardless of age or standard. It may not make you the best golfer in the world but it may teach you to hit the ball cleaner and straighter. Customer Service Good, 3 day delivery as promised Similar Products Used: Too many to list, moreover, I wouldn't want to embaress the competition! |

Straight Shootin Golf + Other Videos
I bought a set of threadbare 2nd hand clubs about 5 years ago, purely to avoid paying £20 a pop hire charge on those rare occasions that I was invited out - just to make up the numbers. It was only last September (2002) that golf took a hold of me in earnest. I saw the advert for Dalton’s Straight Shootin’ Golf System on the Shop America satellite channel. Normally I’m very sceptical of learning anything from tapes but at £55 (including the Straight Shootin’ Short Game, The Secrets of the Flat Stick and the Automatic Swing Programmer) I thought what the hell. When I watched the tapes the 1st time round - in September, a number of the terms used escaped me & to be perfectly honest I enjoyed watching them just for the lick of humour in which Dalton presents his instruction. I’ve subsequently had a few (well four) lessons off a PGA professional - which were absolutely invaluable to me. On visiting Dalton’s tapes a 2nd time round things made a lot more sense (purely from my experience with the Golf Pro) and I found that Dalton’s theory was compatible with what I had learned from the Pro. I’ve now watched Straight Shootin’ several times over and I’ve managed to implement some (hopefully the rest will come with practice) of Dalton’s key elements into my swing. As a ‘no handicapper’ I’ve managed to go from a complete ‘scutter’ of the ball, to a reasonable hitter of the ball. I put this down to 3 things: the Pro for the basics, Ben Hogan’s 5 Lessons book for my grip (not read past that bit yet), and Dalton’s tapes to actually keep my shots on a level plane. The first time I managed to use my ‘wristees’ (Dalton speak) as per his instruction, I couldn’t believe the results, the ball went higher and further (I mainly practice with a 7 iron) and more importantly straighter! The thing is, I wasn’t actually trying to hit the ball hard at all, I was just trying to get the swing right. I’ve now had a few sessions at the local range (about 4) and now I can virtually recreate that swing (and hence that result) every time. This has been a revelation and it has taught me to slow right down on the back swing. Before watching the tapes I was in the fortunate (or unfortunate - depending on your point of view) position of not having a swing, I was an absolute beginner, and so perhaps I’m more receptive to Dalton’s method than say a more experienced golfer. I’ve noticed a few bad reviews on this site and they seem to be mainly from quite experienced golfers (Dave from London springs to mind who is a 12 handicap) who would no doubt be less receptive to this form of instruction. Dalton’s method is simple & he talks in plain English - which is exactly what I need. Experienced golfers might want every smidgen of information explained in detail (a’la Ledbetter et al), but for me this would be information overload and I’d end up concentrating so hard on the detail as to make a decent swing virtually impossible. For me, beginner or experienced, if you trust the instruction and don’t analyse it too vociferously then I’m sure that everyone can extract something of use from these tapes. OK the video reproduction isn’t the best in the world, but the tapes along with the thin but useful manual and the excellent drills booklet make for a winning combination. 5 out of 5! Dalton Stright shootin golf
I cannot begin to tell you how much Dalton's straight shoot'in system has helped my game. Before I got this product I didn’t shoot any score lower than 120 (and that was a good day). With Dalton's system, I put away my driver and now tee off with a three wood. Although I still get an occasional slice, my game has improved ten fold. I really enjoy the confidence I have when faced with a par three. I know the ball will land right on the green (and this is without even looking up!). I just look at the green and wait for the ball to hit it.!! It did take a while for the system to work for me. After reviewing the booklet over and over, I missed the key element of throwing my right heel over in concert with rolling my wrists. Since then I have been a straight shooting machine. |

as straight as you can point guarenteed
Firstly, I read a review a while back in which the writer moaned that for any improvement to take place he would have to change his entire swing! I found this amusing as the the idea of improvement without change sounds a bit daft to me! All the bad reviews of the system that I have read pick out similar pointless faults that have more to do with their attitude than the system. Anyway,as far as Dalton's system is concerned it has sound fundementals with emphasis on keeping them simple. This is why mid-high handicappers will benefit the most from it. I will admit that I got very frustrated when I could'nt get the system to work at first, however bear with it and it will just click, I saw it with my Dad as well as myself. I know that I was rewarded for trusting Dalton's methods for which I am thankfull. Customer Service Unfortunately I was unable to reach Dalton's Customer service number from the U.K. This was a shame as I was interested in some other of Dalton's products. |

Straight Shootin System
Were do I start.I believe that this programme evolves from a number of things observed by Dalton. Its obvious that Dalton has taken most of his research from the great Ben Hogan and so he is benefiting from the fundamentals of his secret described in many books by Mr.Hogan. There is also an interesting article written by Hogan in 'Life'magazine,pg.60(8/8/1955). Yet Dalton has made the game easier for those of us in the modern era. I would be interested to hear what areas of Daltons system really clicked for you and brought your game to the next level. contact me at pmcginley002@yahoo.co.uk, thanks.Patrick. |

dalton mccrary video
Many years ago I noticed Dalton's ad in a golf pub and the program was selling for $25 +-. The "hit as straight as you can point" idea got in my head. I spent the big bucks for this video about in 1998. I studied and worked this plan as it made sense to me. Dalton's theory works, plain and simple. Watch lady golfer Karri Webb and you will see Dalton's swing theory in action. It appears this video series is currently being advertised in the UK and you folks are enjoying the program. This is a simple program to follow and the results are solid. I hit long, straight and high flying shots using Dalton's technique which I learned from the videos.PS: I wore out my tire!!!!! The only thing i can say about Dalton is that he is an absolute genius! what a brilliant system,he makes golf so simple and great fun! I am 14 years old and i picked up the game of golf two months ago while on holiday, i recieved some clubs and lessons soon after. the lessons from my local golf pro were good and a few weeks after starting i had a few games and shot around 100, which isn't to bad for a first round! however i continued with lessons and i developed a "fade" due to the pro over complicating the swing. After purchasing Daltons videos i now hit in the late seventies and my handcap has gone down two SEVEN IN JUST A FEW MONTHS!!! Dalton is a legend. i am now the best junior at my club and i have only played for a few months Customer Service brilliant i recievced my order within 48 hours |
