Best wedges, period. The wedge that launched a 1000 rip offs. Had one 53* diadic (chrome), loved it (used it for just about everything under 75 yards), but traded it in when the Ping o-size I-3's arrived (4 thru pw, sw, uw and lw). Big mistake--hated the Ping wedges (too much offset, too big a club!). Landed up trading in the 1-3's 3 months later, bought a new set of irons (Evo 845 v-25 forged 3 thru pw) and 3 Cleveland gunmetal wedges (53*, 56* and 60*). Am glad to be back in Cleveland wedge land. Easy to hit, nicely weighted, good optics, deadly accurate. When you make a good shot, you know why. When you make a bad shot, you know why. That's what a great club should do. Enough with the "shot correcting clubs."

By the way, I still have my Ping putter, 3 wood and 7 wood. They are the bomb!

Cleveland 588 60* lob wedge has cut 3-5 strokes off my game. So easy to hit from 60 yards in. Fairway or rough....club performs!

I have been very pleased with my 588. This club has given me much greater control and has saved me many strokes per round. I have been away from golf for thirty years and never had a good short game, but I have been relearning and have been playing better wedge shots that ever in my life. I also have some decent wedges that came with my club set, but the Clevelands are substantially easier to play well.

Clearly the cream of the wedge crop. I play both the 56 and 60 degree wedges, each of which save me several strokes per round. Very good feel, consistent ball flight and distances. The differing bounce angles on the two lofts creates some variety in the shots you can play with these wedges. To me, Cleveland Wedge = Short Game Magic.

Shots from 60 meters and in were the weak part of my game...before I practiced this a lot AND bought my GUNMETALS ! Superb feel and confidence these clubs give you. Try them !

This is a great wedge. Good from tight lies. Get the RTG for a softer feel and to cut down that distracting glare of a chrome finish

Model Reviewed: 588 Gunmetal - 56 deg SW and 60 Deg LW

My scoring is dropping quickly and I have to look no further than these clubs. With some practice I have found sand to be a non-factor for the SW and rough/hardpan easy to get out of with the LW. Soft feel and great spin, sometimes scuff balls :-) I have sold plenty of these wedges to leaguemates who have tried them upon my recommendations, even Titleist users!!! If you are looking for good wedges that have a nice setup, classic look and great feel, look no further than the Cleveland GunMetal 588 Wedges....

dont get me wrong, these are great wedges. But if you are going to spend the money you should spend the extra 10$
and get the RTGs. They are far better.
