What can I say besides, if you even think about some other clubs, you better try these first! I had my eye on some Titleist 990's for a while, but after one round with these, I said goodbye to the 990's and hello to the fat shaft! I loved these from the beginning, and though I usually shoot in the 90's, I just broke into the 80's with these clubs! Excellent feel, straight as an arrow, and long enough for me! What else coud I ask for!! Similar Products Used: Titleist 990, 962, 981. |

I found that the regular flex fat shafts were almost as stiff as the true temper s300. Overall they were solid clubs, nice appearance at address. Similar Products Used: Maxfli Revolutions |

I started with blades, then moved to Pings, and went back to forged clubs. I feel these are the best of both worlds. The fat shaft took some getting used to in the feel dept., but once you get your groove , they are great. Draws, fades, knockdows and punches are a breeze. Shot my best rounds yet with these sticks. Pro shops are willing to discount these clubs if they have them in stock ! BTW , make sure you buy the .450 shafts instead of the older .500's . they are much better. Took some getting used to both the longer length of these clubs and the gain in distance from my old set, but I would recommend these to anyone. Dead solid straight when my game is on, forgiving when it is not. Similar Products Used: None |

WOW!!! For all of us regular guys out there, if you're buying a new set of clubs you have to try these babies out!! Extra distance is now reality..I'm getting anywhere from 10-25 yards per club....but even better the balls go exactly where you want them to! Why has this been a secret for so long, STOP THE CLUB HEAD FROM TWISTING ON IMPACT!!!!!! Finally golf clubs for the rest of us, I've played with 14 sets of irons in the last 3 years and this will be my last!! Absolutly the best club on the market...you HAVE to try these out!!! I was custom fitted with these new Fat Shafts hoping to improve my accuracy. To my surprise, this and much more was seen the first time on the driving range and golf course. Less torque, more feel, 10 yards increased per club, greater accurancy and higher trajectory were all welcomed changes resulting from this reasonably priced set. Most of all, my short irons have improved the most. I believe this may be a result of the custom fitting with myself being 6' - 3"" tall and previously purchasing standard clubs off the shelf. I recently retired by Hogan Apex IIs (after 22 years) and got the Fat Shaft RMs. I demo-ed a bunch of clubs (Mizuno T-Zoids, Titleist DCI, MacGregor PCB/PMB, Maxfli Revolution, etc.), and found the RMs to be a little more solid and slightly longer on the range. But where these clubs really shine is on the course. Off-center hits stay on-line and carry very well. I can work the ball very easily, and the clubs are terrific out of the rough. I'm getting 5-7 more yards per club. Compared to my Hogans (which I loved), the RMs give me slightly less feel and far better scores (I've already posted two of my lowest scores in 10 years, so I'm pretty happy). Of course, that's just my experience. Similar Products Used: Hogan Apex, Taylor Made, Cleveland |

Being new to golf, I was really unsure as to what is marketing hype and what really works. After much research into iron sets, I went into a large golf shop with a list of about 10 different sets I wanted to try. The sales person help me cut my list down to 5 (with the Fat Shafts highly recommended). I demo' ed Armour 845 OS, Callaway X-12, Ping ISI-K, Taylor Made LCG along side the Fat Shafts. There was no comparison. The Fat Shafts won hands down. Because the heads were taped I could see where I was hitting the ball on the face of the clubs. I hit all but one ball on center with the Fat Shafts. The only one that came close were the Ping ISI-K's. I came back two days later to try them again, just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I walked out with a new set of Fat Shafts. These clubs are better than forgiving, they are correcting. The head weighting and the shaft squared the face effortlessly. I consistanly hit balls with the right loft and distance, I really have to take a bad swing to hit a bad ball. I LOVE THESE CLUBS! For several weeks I had tested a set of graphite shafted X-12s at a local course. I made up my mind to buy them. However, the golf shop owner told me that I should try the FS Wilsons before I did so (even though he stocks both brands)! I did try them--just once. After 18 holes with the graphite Fat Shafts, I was sold. Much better accuracy than the Callaways and looked better to me too (I've played Ram Tour Grinds for 15 years). These clubs are very long but that's because the lofts are very strong (PW is 45, GW is 50)so you'll need extra wedges (I recommend Cobra Trusty Rusty). But these Wilsons are solid, straight, and great looking. I may try the woods soon! Similar Products Used: Callaway X-12, Ping ISI |
