The first time I hit these irons, I knew immediately I was going to love them. Their playability, distance, and forgiveness are simply amazing. I have owned Callaway Big Bertha X12s, Ben Hogan Apex Edge, and Taylor Made 300 Series Forged, and these Top-Flites definately top them all. I would have never guessed this kind of performance out of a set that costs less than $500. My first round with them resulted in an 81, which at the time was my lowest score of the season. Just go to your local pro shop and try them. I think you will be just as surprised as I was.

I read all the reviews and was only going to take the Titleist 762, Callaway X-14 and Mixuna MX-11 to the range to find the right one for me....well I read some reviews on the X-14 and a couple mentioned the Top-Flite XL-2000. I kinda laughed until I read the reviews on this site.. So I took all 4 and found the XL-2000's to be the most consistent and most appealing at address. i chunked a few on the grass and the range but they still managed to go straight losing around 20% of the distance but not bad at all. I usually hit in the low 90's but with these irons I've already had 2 rounds (my only 2 rounds)in the high 80's and I haven't really figured out my distance yet but I'm hitting 10-15 yards longer than my old MacGregor's. If your looking at the X-14 do yourself a favour and hit these. It definetly was a lot easier coming home to the wife paying $400 instead of buy x-14's for a minimum of a grand.. saved the marriage..and helped my game..The Mizuno was second nice but double the price..

I started golfing seriously beginning of May, 2002. Although I played at one of the best courses in the country, my scores were horrible mid-120s. I began using Wilson Fat Shafts (graphite) and over several months brought my scores down to the 80s. Although the Fatshafts had served me well, I couldn't get the consistency I needed in terms of distance and control. I decided to pull out the XL 2000s. I dropped 5 strokes immediately. These clubs are good for everyone. My son is just starting and he is hitting his 9 iron 140 yards and straight. I've only played a couple of rounds, but the increase in accuracy is amazing. Mis-hits that may have hooked out of bounds or 40-50 feet left of the hole are now 10 feet off the mark. I'm hitting greens in regulation twice as much as I had before. I believe these clubs are the best available. Buy them why you can.

First let me say the reason that I put a ? mark in the price paid box is I can't remember for sure. However these are the best clubs I have ever played. I had them fit to me which you should do no matter what clubs you use. I hit the ball straighter, and longer. THANK YOU TOP FLITE!!

These irons feel great. You really have to hit them badly to chunk them. Very easy to get the ball airborne. I have been using a set of graphite Taylormade Burners for the past 6 years. To be honest they never felt as good as my previous set (inexpensive Spalding set). Too much flex in the graphite (so I told myself). I was determined not to buy new irons until I took some lessons and started to see some real improvement. I have been hitting the ball better and have begun to keep it in the 90's with some inevitable trips back in to the 100's. I went to Dick's Sporting goods and tried a couple of clubs. The manager there had a special on the Callaway X-12s with stiff steel shaft. I felt uncomfortable with his recommendation of stiff shafts and felt like he was trying to unload some X-12s that he had. I also heard him say the same thing to an older guy so I think he was pulling a sales pitch on us. I also went to my country club and tried the X-14, Cobra SS and Taylormade 200's--all with steel shafts. I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference. I decided to go with the Topflites. At the current prices you can't go wrong. Since I started looking the price has dropped to $249 at TGW and iwantgolf.com. However there are a lot of sellers on Ebay who are pricing these at $199. With shipping, no tax, I spent $219. With a set of Topflites in the bag I won't get a lot of oooooohs and aaaaaahs but I hope to see a difference where it counts--on the scorecard.

Purchased after reading the numerous positive reviews. I have to agree with the consensus--these clubs are all-around outstanding. The price is unbeatable and the clubs hit wonderfully. They have a good, solid feel and I have no problem hitting them straight or working the ball when I need to. If you want to impress your friends, go buy a $700 set of Callaway irons. If you want a comparable set of quality irons minus the price tag, these are for you.

Fantastic Irons to play with. Like other reviewers have stated, I am glad that I came to this website to read the reviews about these irons before I actually bought. These irons are very easy to hit, and they are very forgiving. I think what makes this product such a great find is the relatively small price that they are selling for. I now feel a great sense of confidence in hitting my irons.

These are the best irons I've ever had. I've been playing the last 3 years with a set of Wilson Terminal Velocity 2 irons that I won in a tournament. Those were awesome clubs, but after 3 years (and 2 broken clubs last month), I decided to shop around. Kudos to all of you who posted reviews. I was stuck between Clevelands and Tour Edge sets. Then I read the reviews here. Then it became a no-brainer. These were the irons for me. After just a few swings, I just had to have them. I've never had a smoother swing in my life. High, straight, and far (I popped a 4-iron 190 yards). These irons gave me performance and durability for a fraction of the price of Cleveland TA-7's. At $320, I stole these darn clubs. Talk about a "Diamond in the Rough". These are the perfect irons for any type of golfer. Whether you are just starting, or you're shooting 60's and 70's, you just can't pass up a set of irons this good for that of a low price.

L.I. Golf was very friendly. I bought the last set they had in stock, so these are darn popular.

Thanks to everyone who posted a review of these irons. I bought these based on your recommendations and you didn't steer me wrong. I've only been playing for a few months. My first set of irons were Big Berthas with Reg Graphite Shafts. Good irons, but way too much flex for me. So I started hunting for my next set. I had my eye on a prettier set of more expensive irons, but I ended up buying these based on reviews and because the price was just irresistible. Deep down, however, I had doubts. Took them out to the range yesterday. On the first swing I knew I had done the right thing. I think I'm in love. I would have been perfectly happy with these if I had paid twice as much for them. They might not win a beauty contest, but when you're nailing them dead straight over and over again, the looks start to grow on you! For 250 bucks, I feel like I stole these clubs. Whoever designed these deserves a medal.

Customer Service

beats me.

I've been playing for 5 years...3-8 rounds a year. I usually shoot in the mid 90's. Like many others here, I bought these irons solely on the reviews posted here. After posting scores in the high 90's for my first 2 rounds of the year, I took these straight to the course. Never even touched them before that day. I carded an 88. Two weeks later I shota 91 at a different course. These are absolutely fantastic! Even the bad shots went straight. Not a slice or a hook yet. As far as length, some are longer and yet some are shorter than my old clubs. The 3 iron is strong. Hit it 240-250yds the first hole that I used it! The short irons seem shorter than my old clubs. But the accuracy more than makes up for it. By the way...you can pick these up for $249 at "The Golf Warehouse" (www.tgw.com) At the time I bought them on eBay they were $299 at TGW so the price has been dropping. My best golf purchase to date.
