In the past month I have demo''d every set of irons I could get my hands on, hoping my next puchase decision would be guided towards a high end, big name brand....and it was, I had narrowed my search down to one, when I was offered to try the XL 2000''s. I had tried all the major brands and had my decision made, I didn''t need to demo anything else, but I had nothing to lose, so I took them to the range. I was so impressed how easy they were to hit, I couldn''t believe these clubs were so straight and long and forgiving. I found it is not easy to shape shots left or right, everything goes so straight, which for some might be a problem but for a 15 handicap like myself these clubs are perfect. Recommend you try them. Wow! I love these clubs. I stole a lightly used demo set (3-PW,SW) from the local pro shop for $250 last week. I love the solid feel and forgiving play of these irons. Very straight, fine trajectories, but too early to comment on distance changes. Psychologically speaking, these irons are real confidence builders when over the ball. Aesthetically, the understated club head design looks fine today and probably will 5 years from now. I think we have the makings of a long and beautiful friendship here. |

This is an update to my earlier post. I love these irons so much that I purchased the Mid-Wedge and a 2 iron. Unfortunately, the Spalding Rep informed my store that they are no longer making any more Mid-Wedges for the XL2000 Irons. In fact, Spalding plans to discontinue these irons. The new model irons next year will be the XL3000 (Named after their new ball). So, my advice to everyone is grab these irons fast! The prices will be dropping and you cannot beat the forgiveness, length and accuracy of these irons. The 2 iron is easier to hit than my 5 wood. I''m going to use this club off the tee! Just try them and you will see! Customer Service Excellent Similar Products Used: TA5 Irons |

I didn''t go into the iron purchasing process looking at the XL2000s. I was looking at Mizuno, Taylor Made, Tommy Armour, etc. The XL2000 has a great look and feel at firt glance. On the course, I have been very pleased. I''ve hit the best 3 irons of my life over the last 4 rounds. The long irons feel great. Still getting the feel of the short irons. The sole really moves through the ground with no "digging". I''m very satisfied so far. |

STRAIGHT AND LONG. HIGHLY FORGIVING. ALIGNMENT IS EASY. I HAVE A SET OF THE CANADIAN VARIANT WHICH FEATURES NICKEL CHROME HEADS GIVING A SOFTER FEEL. APPARENTLY SPALDING CANADA DECIDED TO GO WITH THAT MATERIAL DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT COSTS MORE TO PRODUCE THOSE CLUBS. OVERALL, AN EXCELLENT CLUB FOR THE MID TO HIGH HANDICAPPER. Purchased these irons late last year....also got free 2-iron as part of Topflite promotion, plus free carry bag. Played my first round yesterday. Irons were great and easy to hit. About one club longer than my previous irosn (Callaway X-14''s). Solid feel at impact. Clubs set up nicely. Highly recommend these as excellent alternative to high priced "name" brands such as Ping and Callaway Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14 |

Just switched from the Wilson Staff Gooseneck Blades that I have used for the past 10 years. Needed to finally jump on the game improvement band wagon. These irons compelled me to jump. I love the appearance at address although the thick top line took some getting used to. These irons are heavier than my old blades and that definitely helps with tempo. I have experienced just about all the same benefits as everyone else. I find I can work the ball when I need to...it is more difficult though. Great set of irons for any level player...especially good for the beginner. |

After trying out Callaway X-14, Cleveland TA5 gunmetal, Orlimar Scoring irons, & Ping IO''s, I settled for the Top Flite. This irons are sooo forgiving that after trying it out in the driving range and playing in the course, I broke 90. I shot an 86 and have been consistently doing 80''s and 90''s now. This is an excellent set of irons. Love the distance that I''m getting too. Similar Products Used: Cleveland TA5 Gunmetal, Callaway X-14, Ping, Excalibur |

An excellent set of clubs that inspires confidence from the three to the pitching wedge.Being left-handed I rely on reviews more than most golfers. The reviewers were right on target with all the positive comments. Not only straight as an arrow, 10+ yards distance and easy knockdowns. Slow swing speeds will definetly benefit with these clubs. I would like to thank all the people who reviewed this set of clubs. I am a beginner who recently bought this set of irons, due to all the excellent feedback. They get the ball up and straight, and give you a very positive feel when you get them out of the middle. I tried PowerBilt Grandslams, Mizuno Widec IIs, Nicklaus, and Bridgestone. None of the above felt as good. A bargain. Customer Service Friendly and helpful Similar Products Used: Mizuno Widec IIs, Powerbilt Grandslams, Nicklaus, Bridgestone |
