I started out at a golf shop trying out some X-14s. I had rented a set before, and while I love the way they play, I really dislike the huge top line. The sales person said I should try out the XL2000s. As soon as I held one in my hand, I was sold! They feel great from the get-go. Being a little skeptical of the Top-Flite name, I went online to see what the reviewers were saying about them. Everyone really seems to enjoy playing this club, and were impressed by the build quality. The next day, I had a set in my bag, and I've been crazy about them ever since. Especially at the low prices now, the XL2000s are the best deal in golf clubs. The only real gripe people have is how these clubs look, but I even like that! (I think everyone forgot how God-awful the TopFlite Tour clubs looked!) |

After reading several favorable reviews and finding these clubs at a great price, I felt compelled to give them a try. After all , if I didn't like them, I was sure I could get what I paid for them. I had always played classic, proven clubs like 845's and Eye 2's, so I really wasn't sure about Top Flite clubs. I mean, their really wasn't a comfort level in that name. The real appeal was probably the oversized head, something I wasn't sure could help me, but in the back of my mind, I felt that if I couldn't hit a ball with a club half the size of a rodeo champion's belt buckle, then I should find another game. So far, the experience with these clubs has been enjoyable. And, while they may not be a "feel" club, an average player can hit it straight and work the ball fairly well when that need arises. These clubs are delofted, starting with the pitching wedge at 45°. The shaft lengths are slightly shorter, probably offsetting some distance gained by the delofting. The ball comes off the face hotter which may not help on soft, short chips, but could prove to be a plus on the longer ones. Most players would want to add a gap wedge. The short irons are accurate, while the long and middle irons are easy to hit, but I don't think you hit the ball any longer than with other clubs. Although some may see negatives regarding the overall looks (these clubs are not sexy), I find the top line looking down on the club to resemble some popular Call away brands and, likewise, are easy to align. I think these clubs are very durable due in part because of the harder steel used to make them. Most importantly, the XL2000's feel good when you swing them, inspiring confidence. I would recommend them for people who are average players working on consistent ball striking and hitting straight shots. In fact, for the money, they are probably one of the best clubs on the market. A true sleeper. |

Deal of the century!!! The most forgiving and straightest irons I have ever played. I recently tried all the latest, and much more expensive sets (Callaway x-14 pro, TM 320, Mizuno x-20, Hogan Apex Edge, Titleist 762) and none of them even came close. I had not even considered looking at Top Flites until checking out the reviews here and at golfclubreview.com. Glad I did. I typically struggle with a hook, but not with these irons. You definitely want to give these a try if looking for new irons. Similar Products Used: Tried most of them |

I just started playing golf last year. I enjoyed the game so I needed a started set of clubs. I quickly out grew them and have been searching for another set. I shoot in the 100s so I am not going to go get a set of really expensive clubs. I read the reviews of the Top Flite XL 2000 and was very skeptical. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I went to a golf store and asked to hit them, they felt pretty good. But, you can only tell so much from a simulator. I played my first round with my new clubs yesterday and I have to tell you the improvement was incredible. I hit many, many more shots farther, straighter and higher. I still have to get used to them and that will take some time, but for my first time out I was very impressed. For my game, I think these clubs will be perfect for me. Customer Service I was not happy with golfmart. Everytime I wanted to try a brand of club, they kept telling me to try the Tour Edge instead. They didn't care what I wanted, they just wanted to sell more Tour Edges. |

I bought a new set on ebay for <$300 and am quite pleased with the ball flight fromthese irons. My prior wilson fatshafts were good but these are better, with a higher more consistent trajectory for my swing. The PW is remarkable. I can actually know where the ball will land within 20 feet or so from 120 yards out. I feel in control of the 7 thru pw more so than ever before. I don't see how there could be a better priced set of quality clubs. Highly recommended. What can you lose? I can testify that they hit better than many higher priced sets since I have tried them. Hopefully this incipient confidence will help my game. Look up "game improvement clubs" in the dictionary and there will be a picture of these clubs. I liked them so much a bought a second set in graphite. Customer Service no experience Similar Products Used: wilson fatshaft (graphite and iron), callaway x-14 pro series. |

Few people know that within my golf bag lies the most awesome, devastating, par busting arsenal of golfclub weaponry ever devised by man. Well, I'd like to think so anyway. Through much experimentation and trial and error I discovered what I like in a putter, wedges and irons (ah yes, irons). Thanks to you kind folks taking the time to set down your opinions about the XL2000 irons and reading about them on Golfclubreview, not much trial and error was involved here. Went to check these irons out and bought a set in graphite regular flex. I am 60 years old, 5' 7'', 132 lbs soaking wet and a swing speed in mid 70's with a tail wind. After many hours of practice and professional lessons I have managed to put together a relatively decent golf swing. That said, for a mid-handicapper like me, the XL2000 irons are totally awesome. Straight as a arrow and very forgiving. I was 170 yds out and grabbed the 4i. Connected perfectly and watched that ball fly as straight as can be and settle in nicely on the green. I just stood there and looked at that little white spot on the green in total awe. I never made shots like that before. For the money, you just cannot go wrong with these irons. They are great! Got a free sand wedge with order and ordered a gap wedge also. Can't say I am too crazy about the wedges though. I went back to my Mizunos. But the 3-pw cannot be beat when considering price and performance. Had the irons regripped with Royal Grips at Golfsmith during their 99 cent special. Just don't like corded grips. These irons - awesome. Customer Service Not complaints whatsoever. Excellent response. Similar Products Used: Lynx Black Cat MTW and some cheapos. |

I purchased these clubs after reading the reviews here and on other sites. Took them to the range yesterday. All I can say is Holy Crap!!!! You know how you can hit the odd good shot? With these clubs I hit the odd bad shot! I'm certain these clubs will take me into yhe 80's within weeks. The 4 iron is actually easier to hit than my 21 degree Rescue club!!! Now I just have to find woods that are as sweet. Any tips? Customer Service DiMarco Golf at Dundas/427 in Mississauga have never let me down. After reading the reviews for these clubs I took a chance and bought a used set with graphite shafts on Ebay. I got them for a good price and couldn''t be happier. Without a doubt these are the easiest and straightest irons I''ve ever hit. I never used to even carry a #3iron but now its one of my favorite clubs. The #7 wood is out of my bag. Do yourself a favor when looking for new clubs and demo these. You won''t be disappointed. Similar Products Used: Ram, Callaway, Wilson |

In my search for new irons, I narrowed it to the XL2000 TM 360s. The TMs looked great at address and had a sweet, smooth feel on contact. The Top Flites look OK, not great, and don''t feel quite as smooth on contact, but they are more forgiving and just as long and straight. For under half the price, the decision was easy. The straightest shooting irons I have ever used. I am really amazed at how consistent these irons are. I''m sorry to hear that Spalding has stopped making them. Well, perhaps the new model will be even better...that will not be easy to accomplish. Thanks Top Flite. Customer Service NA Similar Products Used: Cobra, Callaway. |
