Strength:
None
Weakness:
None Although there seems to be a lot of mass on the bottom of the club, the sweep spot is actually located slightly higher than most of other cavity-back irons. Consequently thin shots go almost as far (but expect a not-so-pretty looking trajectory) and fat shots feel and look satisfactory. If you are a drawer, slight horizontal mis-hits are almost unnoticeable, but if you are a fader, you will lose considerable distance. (BTW, this review board doesn''t allow me to write "m_i_s_h_i_t_s" ''cuz it contains profanity...) Similar Products Used: None |

The only reason I am submitting a review of these clubs is because I was shocked to see all the reviews of how they are not forgiving and feel "cold and hard"?? I own 2 sets of clubs, these and a set of Taylor made tour preffered blades from like '88. Right now the blades are in my bag cuz it's summer and I've been playing more (Cheaper rates) and to be honest, you cannot beat the feel and trajectory of a GOOD set of blades. HOWEVER, The 962's are my clubs. I'm playing in a tournament this weekend in ST. Pete, and the 962's will be in my bag. They have exceptional distance consistancy (which no one has mentioned), unmatched workabilty of any cavityback I've played, in addition to feel, yes feel, and forgiveness. If you hit any club on the edge of the grooves (heel or especially toe) your shot will be undesirable, even with your old man style big berthas. So it's 20 yards short of the green instead of 13. My friend shoots in the 90's and he hits my clubs better than his Ping eye 2's. He is using mine until he buys a set. He doesn't know alot about golf swing dynamics or forged or cast or perimiter weighting, but we played yesterday and he said something that was advertising inspired and sums up what I am trying to say about these clubs. "When I hit the ball, it just feels more solid than my pings. It is a feeling I haven't felt since I started playing golf" So these clubs are not just for low handicappers, but any who desire to experiance the "feel" of golf. I took a chance and bought these irons from ebay and it turned out to be the best golf purchase I have ever made. I typically shoot in the high 90's, and according to the conventional wisdom, I shouldn't be playing these clubs, but that hasn't been the case with me. In fact, my game has improved significantly since I started using these. I like the look and feel of these clubs a lot better than the oversized clubs I used to use. I didn't notice it before, but after playing the 962s, I can't stand the look of the oversize clubs. I like the simple design of the club head, free of bells and whistles you often find on other game improvement irons. If you want to buy oversized-super-cavity-compensate-for-my-shitty-swing clubs then go ahead, but consider these or other Titleist irons if you want to step your game up to the next level. Titleist clubs are the most solid on the market today. That is why the majority of top pros choose to use them: Davis Love, Sergio, Phil, Tiger, to name a few. They are well balanced and consistent throughout the set. I have hit dozens of irons, knock offs and all top brands. In my opinion it's not the club, its the player, but the better you get I recommend you get some quality clubs like Titleist so you don't look like a scrub. Could not feel the ball on contact. These have a very hard face and there was no feedback to the stroke. Ball flight on long irons was very low. Overall, not impressed. (Now use Mizuno Pro II. Would use forged every time). Similar Products Used: Maxfli rev. Titleist |

I've been playing 962s for more than 2 years, and they're great if you don't miss the sweet spot. They feel a little hollow to me, which tends to happen with investment cast clubs. Good feedback, though, and easy to work. These irons are set with pro lofts, so don't expect them to fly as far as off-the-rack Pings or Callaways. I've found them somewhat hard to knock down, as well, but, overall, they're very solid irons. Similar Products Used: Ping ISI, Ping Eye 2+, Callaway X-12, Mizuno MP-14 |

The best cast Iron there is. However these irons are more ideal for advance players who like to shape their shots. These titleist irons have a better feel and control in shotmaking. Prior to purchasing these clubs,it is recommended for you to get club fitted. You will enjoy these clubs more if you are willing to spend hours practicing at the driving range. Because there is no such thing as a magic club. Customer Service The customer service is very impressive. They are willing to work to your satisfaction. Recently purchased a set of 962's DCI used. Not very forgiving. Made for advanced players. Must close the club face at impact. If slightly open, it will shank (Hit hosel) at times!!!. Must have a smooth fluid swing. Takes time to get used to at first. Once you know how the these clubs hit, it is actually very easy to hit. High draw is its preffered flight. Feels very solid. Must know how to hit down on the ball with these. If you scoop the ball like many people do, forget hiting these irons. You will love these irons if you know proper golf swing. You will hate them if your a beginner. I can hit the 3 iron 230 yards with these irons. Similar Products Used: Callaway Big Berth, Ping Eye 2, Ping Zing 2, Tommmy Armour, Callaway H2 S2. Great clubs. I needed to replace my beginners copy-set and have been looking for a while - tried lots of different sets. I was going to buy 990s until my friend sold me his 962s - only a year old and in good condition.
