Simply put, I used to play forged blades, then I made the switch to the 962's, now you wanna talk about a big leap. They are twice as forgiving and are exactly as easy for me to work left to right or right to left as my blades. Not to mention the 10 yards I gained, and that would come from the larger sweet spot w/perimiter weighting. Hands down, these are the best of titleist and the best irons I've ever hit.

I'm 15 years old and have been using these irons for a few years now. These clubs are basically cavity back blades, except they are slightly easier to hit. These are great irons which provide control and feel, but I wouldn't recommend them to people just starting out golf. Sweet spot hits are rewarding while mis-hits cause problems, a blade characteristic. I'd recommend true temper steel shaft if you like to move the ball left to right. Overall great irons that when hit well are quite rewarding.

These are great irons. However, I will admit it did take a couple of weeks getting used to them. They are very solid irons and have a clean look while addressing the ball. Keep your head down... thin shots with short irons will jump well beyond target.

Welp i must say i like them. Everyone is entitled to there own opinions but jeez, just give them a chance. Maybe those who cant hit them need bigger clubs, myself however switched from the Chi Chi Rodriguez macgregor blades with the same size heads and offset, but the big differance was feel. Same !!! when hit correctly they were the same as my forged blades, but the cavity back on the DCI makes them more easy to hit. So all in all I like them alot and to those who are frustrated give them a try go to the range, dont just give up.

I have been playing these clubs for about two seasons now and have loved them. There is one problem though. I find that the distance received from these clubs is not as good as some others. I have recently switched to the titleist 690 mb's to go with a forged blade. This I feel will help give me some of the same feel, but with more workability and that extra 10 to 15 yards of distance. If you cannot make solid contact with the ball on a consistent basis, then these clubs are not for you. Try an oversized, cavity back club that is offset. This is a good club for the player who is starting to consistently hit solid shots and want a smaller sweet spot for more control and distance. Anyone who is starting to consistently shoot in the nineties (being honest about their score; people who say they cannot hit these clubs but say that they shoot in the eighties are lying about their handicap) this is definitely a club to pick up and give a go.

I have tried several irons from the new dci 990's to the fat shafts to the taylormade 200 steel and then around the first of may I bought these from ebay for $165 dollars I have to behonest these are the best irons I have ever hit if you can hit 7 out of 10 shots desent then these are for you the mis hits are not all that bad much better then the mizuno forged pro II's and the 990's and they are as forgiving as the 200 steel and they are 6 years older these clubs were almost new when I bought them I replaced the grips (not real fond with the titleist grips) and had them bent and that made a huge difference they are a great set the weight is better for contact and the sweet spot seems to be a little closer to the hosel than center so it is perfect for a low hands hitter like me if I could find anything to complain about other than the grips it would be the short iron lofts they are a little weak the pw is 49 and I would prefer it to be arould 47 so I paid 4 dollars and fixed the problem I really believe they are one if not the best all around iron to date. You have it all great feel as good as muzino distance like fat shafts and control like no other I ever hit I shoot in the very low 80's and I can honestly see myself shoot lower (if I could put) these irons are simply the best!!!!

befor i got the 962 i was using snake eyes mens forged irons with a graphite shaft. Once i recieved the dci 962 i thought they would do wonders for my game. but it turned out it killed my game , now i never said that the clubs were bad but if you as a golfer start out with graphite shafts stick with them our gradually make your way up starting with graphite then a litte bit stiffer shaft and so on. now i am thinking about re shafting them but that is going to get expense but if you always use stiff shaft get the clubs they are great and if you have the money get them re shafted

i was a 15 handicapped golfer at the time of purchase of the 962's and had an old set of knock off callaway irons oversized i started using the new irons and immedietly started shanking the ball no thinning or fat shots just pure shanking the weight of the club head takes getting use to but after i practiced a little i can now control the ball way better with these irons i now have a lot of rounds in the mid to high 70's and actually shot par a couple times so i believe with a little effort someone else could make the game fun with these irons

I absolutely love these irons! They have a smaller club face than what I was used too but offer much more in feel and trueness. Don't be surprised if it takes you a week or so to get used to these irons. But if you stick with them, you'll be glad you did. I feel myself more confident in pulling out the 8 iron from 150 yards with a nice and easy swing. On days the driver is not working (most days) I fing myself teeing up the 3 iron and striking the ball well over 200 yards in the center of the fairway. Since I started using these irons, I have not been in the 100s and don't plan on going back!
