I was given these irons 4 years ago by a friend whom I worked with at my course back home. I am a high ball hitter with plenty of distance, so my main goal was getting the ball down out of the wind we have here in the midwest. I have always been a consistent ball striker. The first round I played with these was in a high school tournament. Wow, what a difference these brought to my game.

I just started playing again about 3 months ago. After going a few times to a little course in town (mainly par 3's), I decided to go to a real course.

These are an excellent choice for someone that has been playing forged blades but are looking for a little forgiveness from a cavity back iron. They are cast and they do not have as soft a feel as blades but it doesn't take long to get use to the change in feel. Very easy to work draws and fades because of little off-set and the heads are small like a blade. I have played blades for years but since I put these in the bag I cannot seem to get them out. A little give and take but overall a very nice combo of a c.b./blade iron. Similar Products Used: Ping Eye 2, Mizuno MP 29, Wilson Staff |

i bought these clubs way back in 1996 during my first golf season in high school. the feel is still the same, and the distance has gotten better with me over time. after ten years, i expected these clubs to start losing its feel, but i can't complain hitting a 3 iron 250 yards. too bad my short game doesn't relate. simply the best irons made, and i have tried out plenty within the past ten years. |

I've been playing these clubs since 1999. They are as true as a club can get and still be somewhat accomodating to mis-hits.

Just got a set of these off Ebay. They must have been refurbished because they look brand new which is cool because I'll be playing them for a while. It's too bad they dont make irons like these anymore. Clean simple classic lines, looks great behind the ball, make a good swing and watch the ball go right where you were aiming. I think anyone with an 18 or less could easily make these work especially if your looking to improve your game. The specs on the new 735.cms are very similar to these so they are probably a good replacement if you are looking for brand new clubs. Customer Service ? These club are pretty impressive. I bought this club set 5 years ago and still to this day do not get any regret on my investment. I used to shoot in the 90's 5 years ago and these golf clubs brought me to a 5 handicap shooting in the 70's, NOT BAD AT ALL. It has taken time to get good with these irons, but they are worth it. While i have played lower scores with other sets of irons (oversized), its satisfying to use a cavity backed blade-sized iron. When you strike a solid shot, these irons feel amazing. They produce a tremendous amount of roll, even on mis-hits. While i would say they are forgiving in the fact that, even when you thin the ball, you still get a straight shot which rolls a long way, overall i feel they are UNFORGIVING in that it is a bit harder to hit good shots. I love them and will continue to play them until i feel my game is good enough to warrant the purchase of better titleist irons. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: n/a |

I purchased a used set of 962s and had the lie adjusted to fit me, since I am over six foot. I also extended them an inch and a quarter. I have never hit a better set of irons. I love the sound and feel I get when I hit a ball flush. Even when I don't hit the ball directly on the sweet spot I still get reasonable distance. I don't like the feel and look of oversize irons, offset irons, or irons with big cavities. The 962s, on the other hand, line up nicely behind the ball. The irons feel heavier than some other irons I've hit. They've got a good clubhead weight. I used to really struggle with my long irons, but I have good success with these. I am a lefty and I've been frustrated with the limited stock of "players" irons on the market. I'm thankful that Titleist came out with these. I'm surprised that they haven't come out with anything to take their place (at least that I'm aware of). These clubs won't serve a bad swing, but you can count on them on the times when you make a mediocre swing. (A lot of my success may be because I had the lie adjusted. I'm not degrading the other brands I've played.) I just know I've had more fun and success playing with these than anything else. To me, that's the mark of a good club! These clubs are the best investment I have ever made. They are very forgiving on mis hits and good shots end up great. I have gained 10 yards per club and am now able to work the ball.
