Titleist 762
Got these clubs about six weeks ago after trying LOTS of irons on the range.I got it down the 762's ,TA 7's and my old Ping Eye 2's.The 762' won the day because they have hardly any offset and were a club longer than any iron I hit( i know the lofts are jacked up a bit ).The TA 7's are also very good but I found them to have a little less feel ,which is probably the sensicore shafts.Im going to hang on to my old Pings for now but after the few recent impressive outings with the Titleist's I think they may end up on e-bay.My only slight gripe is that you will definately need a gap wedge as the Pw is very long,I got a cleveland which is also great. These irons have everything a mid to low player need .Top clubs! |

I had high expectations for these clubs but they didn't pass the driving range test. Feedback was very muted, and well struck shots felt, well, rather weak. Miss hits traveled left, right, and short. Similar Products Used: MacGregor PCB, 1025M, 1025C; Taylor Made 300 |

Titleist 762 irons
I am 6'3" and finally got custom fitted for some new irons. I spent weeks demo'ing irons and was really leaning towards the Mizuno MX20s or the Taylormade 320s, until hitting the 762. It is a fantastic iron. Great distance and accuracy. The clean lines give additional confidence at set up and the S300 shafts work great for me. These irons come 1/2" long in the standard iron set, so I got an additional 1" and 3 degrees upright through the Titleist factory. What an amazing difference for me to stand more naturally upright and swing through the ball. I'll be a 70s golfer soon thanks to these clubs and practice. I am very pleased with my purchase and with the Titleist organization. My clubs came from the factory in 4 days with some nice Pro V 1's thrown in by Titleist. They look great in the bag as well! Customer Service Exceptional. Custom order from factory to me in 4 business days. Nice personalized 'Titleist Custom' stickers for my irons as well. great irons. higher handicapps should not be afraid to try these. they are forgiving, not as much as some others (like x-14, ta7). if you hit your irons with any consistency, these will make you even more consistent. distance is also good. I purchased the set of 762's about two weeks ago. I replaced a set of Hogan Apex Plus and ping ISI nickel irons. The titleist are the best feeling clubs I have ever owned. The distance is better than my Pings and much better workability. I was so happy with the irons I replace my Hawkeye Big Bertha drive with a 975 JVS. My first experience with Titleist clubs and I don't think I will ever leave. Great products, design and performance. Similar Products Used: Hogan Apex Plus, Ping ISI Nickel and Ping I3 |

I switched to these from my 990's. So much easier to hit the 762's 3-6 irons than with the 990's. I am almost a club longer now - my 8 iron used to go 150-155, now it is around 165. They feel nice and heavy, treat off center hits very well - yet you can still work the ball if needed, and they go far w/ little effort. I would not even think of using another brand. Titleist just makes the best feeling clubs for me. |

Pros: Accuracy, Distance Cons: Not as forgiving as Callaways. Heel/toe hits can sting. GREAT club for low/mid handicappers. Ahead of the pack in accuracy, distance and feel. I demoed the Callaway X-14s and Titleist 762 and the 762 was clearly the winner. About 1/2 club longer than the X-14 and almost a club longer than my X-12s. I consistently see 7-9 yards difference with 8-iron. Increase probably due to better design and higher swingweight. 762s also has much better feel than muted feel of X-12. I know if I'm going left or right at impact. Similar Products Used: Callaway X-12, X-14 Ping O-size |

Good solid golf club. I had been playing X-14 Pro series and did not realize how much feel I had lost. Of course, the X-14s are a good bit more forgiving on off-center hits. One thing I noticed immediately was I did hit the ball a good 1/2 club farther. When I investigated the lofts on the 762s and x-14s are pretty much the same with the x-14s being a little stronger in the longer clubs. I can't put my finger on it yet but I do hit the 762s farther. The 762s are pretty easy to work and get into the air for even mid handicappers but have that great blade look at address. Give them a try if your in the market for a players/game improvement club if there is such a thing. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14 Pros, Ping I-3 Blades |
