Titleist DCI 762 Irons

Titleist DCI 762 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The new DCI 762 is the flagship of the player-proven DCI iron franchise. DCI 762 irons are high-performance blades with contemporary design technology. Their thin face design and a multi-piece carbon and metallized mylar cavity insert provide unparalleled feel, increased playability, and modern flight characteristics. The multi-layer, multi-material cavity insert provides "muscle-like" feel without any wasted cavity mass. The cavity insert features a woven graphite sheet in the lower part of the cavity to soften the impact area and provide enhanced feel.

Note purchase price 495 pounds sterling Made mistake with previous clubs - Taylor Made firesoles. Bubble shaft looked good, but found had occassional shooter off face and would fly greens. Also nice feel to mid irons but long irons too harsh. Liked the look of the 762's first time I saw them. Bought standard lies / lofts with s300 steel shaft. Sit beautifully behind ball. No offset gives me confidence (used to shank many years ago and hosel in front of face still terrifies me!!). Find 762's have same soft feel off face from PW to 3 iron. Shaft gives excellent feel & control. All rounds past 9 months in 70's compared with 78-82 with old clubs. H'cap 7.3 Swing speed 98mph approx on testing.

I am 15 yrs old and I recently had these irons custom fit from my pro shop at cost price. I am 6ft 1" so got them with 2degrees of upright and 1/2 inch longer. The fit and play like a dream. These clubs are extremely forgiving compared to the 990's, especially in the 3&4 irons. Also the feel you get from a good strike is pure and sounds great. Added 10-15 yards to my shots and can work them low/high, right/left. Amazing club and great value against the likes of Callaway etc.

Customer Service

Had them custom fit for free. Great service from Titleist and took only 1 week to arrive!

Great iron for people that like the look of a blade at address, with the forgiveness of a cavity back. Have noticed an increase in distance, but this is due to the stronger lofts relative to my previous irons. I have noticed more consistant distance control with the 762's. Very solid feel, and they can be worked somewhat, but the tendency is for straight shots.

I am 15 and bought these irons last spring at the start of the school golf season. They are the most solid feeling cast irons I have ever hit. They are long and easy to work in either direction. I increased my nine iron distance to 150 and can hit the my 3-iron about 220.

im 15 and i have been playing for the past year or so. i picked up golf to play another sport, and since i play hockey, i picked it up pretty fast. i was playing with a set of hand me down Hogan Radials, and i was in great need for a new set of irowns. so i bought these Titleist DCI 762s after demoing them. i increased the length and accuracy of my shots using these irons. it sounds crazy but i increased my 6 iron shot from 160, to 175 or 180 on a good day. i enjoy these clubs a lot for they hit far and have a nice fell and sound to them when hitting the ball right. i recommend these irons to anyone who wants to improve there game a lot.

I have been playing golf for over 40 years and these are the best irons that I have ever played. They are easy to control and the ball can be moved either right or left with little effort. The best thing about these irons is the forgiving nature and clean look of a blade. These are not for the higher handicap golfer as they are more difficult to hit compared to the oversize cavity back irons now on the market.

What a club. I previously used Mizuno Pro 2 and thought that these were the best. These got stolen so I tried various sets at American Golf. The 762s were very easy to hit, even 3 iron that I never used in other sets. I've had a few rounds now and overall am more consistent than I have ever been. If you are a strongish person with fastish swing speed the only shaft should be the stiff one. Brilliant.

Very impressed. Used to play golf regularly as a junior and stopped for a while. Recently Started again playing to a handicap of 9. Started with a set of Ping ISI's which were are decent club with lots of forgiveness. Moved onto a set od Titleist DCI 990's which were great coming out of the sweet-spot but found them a step to far for me. Tried a set of CI 762's at a local pro shop and was amazed with the difference straight away, even though the 990's and 762's look very similar at address. Been using them for 3-4 months now and have noticed a vast improvement in my game. Long irons (3-4) are also easier to hit. I can see myself sticking with the titleist brand from now on in, with my eye on a set of forged 690's in the future!!!

I demoed these irons along with other irons and fell in love with them. They are exactly what I need. They have a blade like setup (little offset, small head) but are cavity back. I dont hit the middle of the club face all of the time and these clubs do not penalize you as do most of the forged clubs. They play alot like my Ping I3 blades. I get the same distance but I think the Titleists are just a little more consistant. Probablly because of the Dynamic Gold Shaft. I also have some Hogan Apex Plus irons and it you hit towards the toe you pay the price in distance loss. These clubs are more forgiving when it comes to that.
