I don't understand all of the other reviews about not "feeling" a good hit. How important is that really? I care about seeing a good hit. If I see a shot land on the green, "I" feel pretty good, period. The first time out I felt like the were not hitting far. I think it was more of an adjustment to the steel shafts and stiffer flex for me. I love when one review gives a club 5 stars and the next one gives 2. Bottom line: with the recent price drop, they are nice solid clubs unless you are fortunate enough to golf almost everyday. Try before you buy. If you like the feel, they are for you. For me, once a week, $400 fits my wallet nice. Similar Products Used: None |

I purchased these with Rifle steel shafts. I immediately had them regripped with Winn Mid-size grips. I switched to these irons from Cobra oversize irons. I hit the Supersteel irons roughly the same distance as the Cobra's, and I had hit the Cobra's longer than other irons I had tried. The accuracy difference though was amazing. I was immediately firing right at pins. The most amazing thing I noticed was how it performed on mishit shots. "Fat" shots seemed to travel much farther than I ever dreamed possible. They are very forgiving irons and shots off the heel or toe do not send you to "jail" as other irons I've played tend to do. I would suggest these irons to golfers of all skill levels... I'm one of those idiots who thinks he can buy a golf game. Well, with these clubs, I think I've finally done it. I've played three rounds with these things, and its the first time I've ever shot six straight 9's below 50. Almost every shot is high and straight. It's a whole new game with these clubs. These irons work quite well for me. They have a nice, big sweet spot and my bad shots don't end up so bad anymore. I hit it nice and high, and the ball lands soft. They look nice from the top- high tech, but traditional. I can work the ball if needed, but hit these irons very straight- which I like Similar Products Used: none |

these clubs make you feel confident at address. they are easy to hit and when struck correctly i get 10+ yards more than my old sticks. the ball wants to go straight or draw slightly. these are the first "REAL" clubs i have ever had. i still need practice with the long irons, i tend to hook (my swing faults) more than i would like. the ball goes VERY high wich i love! i am just getting to a point in my game where i have a lot of confidence and i owe some of this to these wonderful clubs. i recommend these to anyone wanting solid and LONG clubs. others have stated they can't "work" these clubs, i am not a great player but i can work the ball somewhat when i need to. it is all in your setup and swing. never say you can't keep practicing with these cluibs and you WILL score better.....i am PROOF! it felt like a merry-go-round when i was deciding on which set of irons to buy. it came down to the ping i3s, firesoles, and supersteels. not only do the supersteels save you a dollar or two @450 for a set, it's easily the most forgiving clubs i've ever tried. they dont have the feel of the pings, but i'm the type that doesnt like the pain of reverberations travelling through my hands on a mis-hit. the ball travels far and straight. in summary, these clubs make me look better than i am--and thats all i can ask for:) Similar Products Used: ping ISI,i3, firesoles |

Traded my Taylor LCG irons in on these. I got the reg. steel shaft which I had in my LCG's. Played with them for about a month now (7 rounds). No real improvement that I can see over my LCG's. Distance the same (7 iron 165 yards). Not as easy to line up as LCG's since top line of club is bulky. Not easy to work the ball, but still is a good club. Has anyone else had a problems with the plating chipping of the sole of theses clubs? It's happening on two or three of them so far. Wish I had kept my LCG's or bought something different like the new Armour EVO's. Customer Service None so far. Switched from a low price set of steel shated irons to R80 on these. Big difference. Like most of the reviews have said, they are easy to hit and long. I added 15 yards to each club and routinely hit a 150 yard 7 iron. However, I had the shafts tested by a club fitter and they are way soft. The stiff shaft would have been a better fit for me had I known. Anyone considering buying should get this checked to make sure the shaft matches their swing. While these clubs a nice, they are not magical. You still need a good, consistent swing to make the ball go where you want it. All in all I like the clubs because they are easy to swing and have definately improved my game. Similar Products Used: None |
