I was a little hesitant in purchasing these irons based on the negative comments noted by a recent reviewer. However, I got a great purchase price and instantly did extensive research and testing on the range with this club against its competitors. The loft on these irons are no different than my 4 year old Supersteels that I have been using. In comparison to its competitors the loft is insignificant--it's not a drastic difference. This club flies further because of technology--not the loft. This club is extremely forgiving and accurate. I have also added 5 to 10 additional yards on each club. The technological advancements in golf clubs in the past several years have helped to make the game easier. I liked the X-16s and TA-7s but have been devoted to TM based on my success with its R-500 driver. If you are looking for an extremely forgiving club that is soooo easy to hit off of any lie, you're be happy with the RAC. The only negative issue with these clubs are the grips as noted by a number of previous reviewers. These irons are long and straight. I have to agree with sirchandestroy, that the lofts of these irons are from 1-2 degrees more less than some other golf club manufacturers, but they actually hit higher than most and go further with less loft. If you can't hit these irons then it isn't the clubs, but more like the person holding them. But that is true with any brand of clubs. I have only played about 10 rounds so far, but have had favorable results. If you want irons that are long and straight then these are the ones for you. Similar Products Used: Ping G2, Ping I3, Callaway X-16, Mizuno's and the list goes on and on. They all hit really well, but I could get these for a lot less and had a little more accuracy and distance. FYI-money can't buy you a golf game only practice can. |

Wow these clubs are straight.. The grips could have been better but replaced them with Lampkin grips. I didn’t see a distance increase like some people PW still (135yds), but I love the way the ball holds the green off these... Similar Products Used: Tour Edge Comp LX |

I had been playing with Callaway X-12's until I bought these,at first everything went straight and then I learned where to put them in my stance and haven't been disappointed since.Excellant club for the average golfer, very forgiving and they are workable, you just have to figure them out.Good set of clubs for the money. Purchased these clubs in Sept.I had the cleveland TA 3s which were a little unforgiving on of centre shots, the TM os are very forgiving and despite reading several reviews telling of the heavy draw they get, this did not happen for me.The only gripe I have with these clubs are the grips,so I have changed to a set of lamkin grips, which are a great improvement Customer Service not needed Similar Products Used: cleveland ta7 |

Great irons, took me less then a day to get comfortable with them and I now have more then a 1 club increase in distance. The accuracy and workability of these clubs are incredible and even with my mid irons the ball stops when it hits the green. The only little thing I don't like is how the chrome finish gets marred on the bottom after playing for a while but it buffs out real easy! Customer Service Excellent I sent my clubs in right after I got them to have them set them up for my specs and I had them back in a week! These are great clubs.....period! If you are thinking about getting new clubs, do yourself a favor and at least take a test set out to the range and compare these to whatever you're playing now. I'm sure you will be blown away at how easy these are to hit, and how much further you can hit each iron. I gained 10-20 yards on each club from my former set (Vulcan Q-Pointe - Custom). I've been playing every weekend with these irons for the past 6 months and my game keeps getting better every round. Great value for the money! Customer Service No need for it. Test drove the RAC LT's, found them to be unforgiving and difficult to hit. Could have been the Stiff Rifle shafts?? Demo'd the RAC OS / Graphite, shot a 41 from the Blues in a stiff breeze... Seem to overachieve with these irons, picked up 10-15 yards per iron. Need to adjust my distances and dial them in. Have played Lynx forged irons for 12 years, thin topline and a sweeping sole, but I did not have any trouble adjusting to the new look and feel of the cavity back RAC OS. Felt a little odd at first, more the thicker top line.. More disconcerting is the step into a graphite shaft (much lighter)and the "OS" (Oversize) identifier, generally reserved for older, weaker golfers. A solid 13 handicap, I anticipate these irons to improve my game by at least 2 strokes per side via distance and accuracy. Customer Service Just bought 'em, but understand the retailer does not guarantee them, only the manufacturer warranty applies. Heard the shafts and heads are prone to breaking? never had this happen on any other clubs I've owned... Similar Products Used: RAC LT's / Titleist 731PM's / Cleveland TA7 |
