Just my two thumbs up for a nice club. As I'm mid-aged and not getting any younger, I was in search for a club that would let me enjoy the game down the road and keep it enjoyable. First off, it takes some getting use to the offset and topline but they don't appear to be as obnoxious as some other OS clubs. Compared to my Hogan's these are more forgiving and inspire more confidence. When you take your backswing, you just know the shot will be nice and high with a soft landing. No worry about thin shots here. Some say there is no feel to them but they will tell you when you don't make good contact and when you do, it's almost forge-like. They have good distance, accuracy and nice balance. Quality is excellent and they look superb. I think for the beginner or a mid handicapper like me, they are an excellent choice and are very reasonably priced. All in all, hard to go wrong here.

with all the new sets out there, which one should one buy? that was the question i asked myself nearly 6 months ago. went to the range and tried them all, i settled on the racs... but which one, lt or os? given i wanted to improve my game, my coach said lt and it did feel solid but i realized, i had to hit it in the sweet spot every damn time OR it won't go the designated distance. Then i tried the OS, and i realized that i didn't have to swing hard to get the ball airborne, essentially, a much easier to hit club BUT there was one pitfall, the shots i was hitting were wayyy too high. it felt like i was hitting a pitching wedge every time with the required distance. (Bloody weights and all that technology crap, and yeah, that was how high the balls were going) So, there i was in a fix, get the lts or os. Decided to be the lazy golfer and took the easy way out, went with the os. Yeah, i did have my reservations BUT i went from a 22 handicap to now a 14. They are easy to hit, somedays i feel like im a machine, (well obviously not every day.... if it were, my handicap would be close to 0 and not 14) AND my last 2 outings, i have shot 3 to 5 under my handicap. So, what the hell am i doing posting since i bought it 6 months ago? Well, i was so impressed , i got my dad a set regular graphite (japanese spec). He is truly the weekend hacker who shoots in the 100s. With the new irons, he now shoots in the 90s. What better advertisment can that be? Father and son using the same type of irons? (granted we are not professionals, but that has to be some sort of glowing endorsement!) Do yourself a favour and try these irons out if you are thinking of getting a new set.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made RAC OS2 w/graphite shafts.

After playing a set of Mizuno Sterlings for over 10 years, I decided it was time for a change. I don't swing as freely as I did before due to back surgery, so I needed to generate more distance for less effort. I tried several makes of club and by far and away the best were the Taylor Made. With less effort, I have gained 20 yards per club and am peppering flags with an accuracy that astounds me (shame my driving is not so good). For my handicap, the offset is perfect (I had to work on ball position at first) and the shafts are perfect too. Feel off the clubface is even better than my old mizunos and I get a fantastic trajectory as well, with nice, soft landings. I got the 5 - SW with regular graphite shafts off Ebay for £225, £300 less than the RRP. To say I'm chuffed to bits is an understatement and my playing partners are now looking to change their irons as well, because I'm destroying them!

I change out my clubs more than I care to admit. I've gone through 5 sets of irons in 2005 and I can't even count the Drivers, wdges, putters, fairway and mid-irons. I figure it's not the indian it's the arrows, so I'm not afraid to try anything to improve my game or get a "Legal" advantage over my playing partners. I enjoy playing tournaments and do so often. However, on a recent business trip I was invited to play but had not intended to so I did not bring my sticks. I was "forced" to rent those "proshop high handicaper" irons. The set I rented just happened to include the Rac OS irons. But after I got over the embarssement of these "hacker" clubs, I soon realize that I could do anything I wanted to with these things with total confidence! And they clearly added significant distance on any off-center hits I made. No kidding, it was like cheating using these clubs. Needless to say, there in my bag now. And after 5 rounds at home . . . I'm shooting the eyes out of the flag sticks. My playing partners have noticed. Though very used to me changing clubs, but they're seem a bit more annoyed than usual since I've been hitting so many shots so close to the pin . . . and carding so many more birdies! I don't care if these are supposed to be higher handicap clubs, I'll wear a pink skirt (ala F. Funk) if it will help me score better! And these clubs definatley will do that!!!

Mistake number one for me was to swap my Talyor Made 300 forged with this OS2 Irons. Was told that with the light shaft and large offset, I am able to swing easiler and get longer distance. Mistake number two was swaping the set without trying it. All I can say is that this set of irons are too easy to play and if you are looking in to improving your ball striking skills, do not get this irons. This set had made me loose my mood in playing a shot the moment I played my 1st hole. Had only used it once on the green and this set is already on Ebay for sale and I had to fall back on my old TA3 in my storeroom for the next few games. Few weeks later, I had bought myself a set of MP 37. The large offset in the OS2 had greatly reduce my ball playability. The light shaft just have too much flex in them and it causes me to draw. However to be fair, this irons can go far and straight. The feel of this irons is very forgiving and it feels "soft" the moment you hit on the sweet spot (abit feels like forged). It would be really great for players who do not want to spend too much time adopting to a set of irons before going to course.

Really has improved my iron play tremendously. I do tend to hit these irons sky high. I may be a club behind better players in length, but at least my mis-hits are not as bad as before. Very forgiving clubs. Got a great deal on EBAY too.

I am 15 years old and I am a 7 handicap. Before I purchased these irons I was playing some Snake Eyes TC-01 irons. I had truogle gitting the long irons. Since i bought these my game from 170 yards out has improved. first day I got these I was playing a 140 yard par 3. I hit a shot to about 5 feetand got a birdie.I got these irons new off of ebay for $350 when they were listed for $500- $600. Anybody, high handicap or low can improve their scores with these irons. They're sweet. :)

Sold my MX-23's due to lower back problems and purchased these on ebay brand new for $370 which included 2nd Day Air shipping. instead. I wanted a club that I wouldn't have to swing hard to get results and to get a little bit more forgiveness out of. After a two hour range session I have learned two things ...these are a club for the true weekend warrior who plays once a month. These irons are also geared for someone who doesn't swing hard or want ANY playability at all and is happy to have the ball simply in the air somewhere on the course! After the range session, these went straight to ebay and I demo'd a few more irons and had to have a forged iron and that's what I purchased. The Mizuno brand is just much better than Taylormade and I should have tried the MX-17's before going to Taylormade. Great club for the high-handicapper or the true hacker out there.

These are really solid irons. Don't let the oversize and the offset fool you. Looks are top notch. Workability is definitely there. Of course, it's not going to give you the same feeling as a forged Mizuno blade but it's also never going to sting your hands, shank it off the hosel or leave you twenty yards short of your intended target either. Got mine fitted at a local dealer, plus 1/2 inch 2 degrees upright. They work like a charm. Peppered more flagsticks today than I can remember in a long while. Thought you had to play forged or at least nonoffset to be a "playah" but these inspire so much confidence while still informing me of my swing that I no longer believe that. Great value too considering the competitors can be anywhere from a hundred to two hundred more.

Customer Service

Received the clubs a week after fitting. Replaced headcovers after making requests on website. Excellent.
