I got this set to replace my Mizuno MX-20s. I bought them used (but in MINT condition) at a golf store here in Savannah. They have the stiff graphite shafts, which made me nervous as I have always played steel shafts. These clubs are very easy to hit and very forgiving. The first round that I played I hit out of a fairway bunker from 150 yards with a 7 iron and cleared the greenside bunker as the ball settled nicely on the green. I am getting as much spin with the 9 iron and pitch wedge as I do with my Vokey wedges. The only drawback is that the RAC chambers and the graphite shaft do tend to negate the feedback on the ballstrike (but this may just take some getting used to as the Mizunos I had were forged and had steel shafts). Overall, I am very please with these Taylormades. I would compare them as equals to the Ping G2s in forgiveness and easy-to-hitness. Customer Service have not had to use them Similar Products Used: Mizuno MX-20, Ping G2 |

I'm a forged type player with over 30 years playing this game. I gave my Mizuno MP-33's to my son. I'm 60 years old now, time to get some irons suited to my declining physical condition. I read all the reviews on all the irons I was most interested in and decided it was time for a set of cavity-back irons. The Ping G-2, Cobra 3100 I/H, Titleist 804.OS, Mizuno MX-17, Nike pro-combo, Clevland CG2 & Launcher, Hogan BH-5 and finally Callaway X-18 were considered until I hit them. There was no feed back, no feel like that of a forged blade making contact with my Pro V-1........UNTIL..... I struck a Taylor-made CGB iron. The RSP...$1400.00 U.S. for 8 irons was out of my budget. I saw another iron, the OS2, at $699. My search was over. On my first hit, I thought this was a forged club. To my surprise it was a cast iron. I hit some more shots, and more and some more, until I took them to the counter and paid $550 for 8 irons. Since you're reading this review remember this; this is one person's opinion. It shouldn't matter to you what I think about these clubs, that decision is for you to formulate. For me, I have found that I'm getting older and it's getting harder to play well like I used to. Anything that can help me enjoy this sport is worth my consideration Customer Service Only phone contact. Positive exchange of info. I have had these clubs for 2 months now and I love them. They are super easy to hit and much longer then the Nike's I was playing before. My GIR went way up with these irons. They do launch the ball high with no effort. I have no complaints at all. Similar Products Used: Nike Pro combo Mizuno mx-15 |

Great club... I have only had them for a week and only hit them on the range, but they feel extremely solid. I think I made a good decision. |

The OS2 are great clubs. The irons have a great feel to them, and it's easy to get the ball in the air. At impact the clubs strike the ball smoothly and at times it seems the club does all the work. I also hit the 3 and 4 iron with confidence and accuracy. I'm hitting these clubs 10 to 20 yards longer. Customer Service Hasn't been needed. This is one easy set of clubs. They almost swing themselves (sounds odd, I know, but I'm getting long, straight results by just 'swinging the clubs' through the ball with a light grip of the clubs, without trying to 'hit' the ball). Trajectory is high, carry is long, distance is very good. My putting has always been solid, so I hope to be 'shooting in the 80s' soon... Customer Service No need as yet. Similar Products Used: Hogan Apex Pro (sweet cluibs but not as forgiving as the RACs), TopFlite XL2000 (also very forgiving but not as long as the RACs). |

The Taylor Made Rac OS 2s are great clubs, i bought them recently, played a few rounds and found how easy they are to hit. They make it easy to place a draw, they allow you to have the trajectory you want, and they also have a great feel to them. One problem in my game is i had a hard time getting the ball in the air, but with the Taylor Made OS it makes the ball soar and land softer on the green. The Offset they have and the oversize club head gave me confidence at address to hit great shots. For the price i got them at, $600, i don't think there is a better deal on the market for someone looking for a set of irons. |

I finally got tired of borrowing my siblings old clubs and decided to pony up the money to get myself a set of irons. I went to Golfsmith where I talked to a buddy I know that works there and he had me hit a bunch of different irons (Ping G2's, Cleveland TA-6's, TM RAC OS (1&2) ) and decided that the RAC OS 2's felt the best to me. Ended up getting them for 539.99 at Golfsmith (steel shafts). On the course, I found that I hit these irons about 8-10 yrds further (carry distance) that I did the previous clubs I have played (TM SuperSteel's). I also found that these clubs still give you the ability to work the ball if you desire too, although its harder to control if you are trying to play more than 10yrds or so left or right. Forgiveness is excellent, and the way the ball feels coming off the clubs face is just heaven.....even with slight mis-hits. I would def. recommend these clubs to the mid-high handicappers who need a good consistent set of clubs to play with on the weekends. Customer Service Highly recommend the Golfsmith in Austin, TX in the Auboretum area. Ask to talk with Javier (Manager), Jim or Jack (club fitters). All great guys and are willing to help anyway possible. Similar Products Used: TM SuperSteels Callaway X-14's Ping I2's |
