As the other reviews state this clubs are great! They have a soft feel, very forgiving and easy to hit. However, now I know why they hit (like everyone claims) 10 to 15 yards longer. The simple reason is because each club has less loft that the same club compare to a similar maker. For example, a Ping eye 2 PW has a 50.5 loft while a OS 2 has a 45 loft...no wonder you are hitting it farther!!! Don't get me wrong, there is definetly some technology involved, but if you buy OS2 3-PW you are going to have a huge gap between the PW and your average 56 SW. Be ready to buy 2 SW's

Overall best purchase i've made for golf so far. These irons are exactly what everyone else says they are "AWESOME". They do shave strokes off your game. They do imporve ball trajectory. They do NOT allow miss hits. My first time taking the clubs out i went and shot about four shots lower than my usual score, took a little while to adjust but when i did i sank two birdies on the last three holes. Who ever says you cannot work the ball is nuts it may not be the best to work the ball with these clubs but you are still able to do so. Next the smaller yardage irons are perfect for any golfer, from you seven iron on down they sent the ball sky high and land it softly where ever you may choose. As for the five and six irons, ther are great from the 180-205 distance not as high of a trajectory but very accurate. Now the biggest suprise of them all, the four iron and the three iron, since these clubs have found my bag, i have used my driver less and less. Short par fours not a problem anymore, just pull out the four iron and sent it 210-220 rigth down the pipe for an easy approach, and if you have the nerve to hit the three iron watch out quite possible and very easy to hit 230+. Don't even listen to the people who down grade these irons, my guess is they didn't get them custom fitted to thier body. Overall best irons you could buy for $400.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made rac OS II

The TM rac OS II clubs decreased my score from an average of 114 to now 99. And if I would improve my skills in putting I would play below ninety on a good day. These clubs are very easy to play and they are in average going 10 to 20 yards further than my old ones (Prestige Diamond from Sweden). Very forgiving and bringing the ball very high into the air. An absolute recommendation if you want to get your scores very easy and fast down.
Try them and you want to have them in your bag at once. I think I will play them for a long time.

I've been using the clubs my dad and I build in our shop since I started about 10 years ago. I thought they were alright, assumed the flaws were in my game, not the clubs. After not playing for about 3 years, I started playing 3 times a week this year. My friend tried swinging one of my irons (he hits a 45 or so on 9) and was amazed I was putting up the scores I was. I went to a local store and tried several irons, and these amazed me so much that I spent well over what I wanted to for irons (was looking for $300 max, paid $500). Having not played in so long, I've forgotten how to hit irons off grass (not the same as hitting off a mat of course) and my scores really reflect this. When I start to get frustrated I just put the ball forward in my stance and swing clean through it, and these irons work great for that. I can't wait to relearn to hit them, they seem so forgiving and nice. Once in a while I hit a nice strong hit that goes where I want it, stops on the green and I say "wow, old iorns didn't do THAT". Very happy with them, would (and do) recommend them.

Hit these on a lark and they replaced my Titleist 690.MBs. VERY soft feel and spectacularly forgiving, they have more offset and thicker top line than many better players may be used to, as well as 90G ultralite shafts. They may not have the workability of a forged blade, but I'm scratch, not a +5 or a tour player - I'll take the ease of use and forgiveness and leave Tiger to more easily work the ball left and right, high and low. Besides, the OS2 can still bend the ball enough. I hit them a club and a half longer than my Titleists, which is a direct result of the OS2's VERY strong lofts, which leaves a huge gap between the PW (45) and SW(55). I hate carrying a gap wedge as I find it a waste of a club, but with ten degree between clubs (my 690s were bent weak so that the PW/SW difference was just 5) I am either going to have to really figure out how to knock the PW down or give in and buy the A wedge. The SW and LW are also excellent - more reliable and less digging than my Vokeys. I'm not a club snob, but I've played nothing but blades for 20 years because that's what scratch players are "supposed" to do and I just unthinkingly didn't consider game improvement irons - these are superior instruments and will help players of all skill levels. Play MP-33s if you want your golf bag to look cool; use these if you want to shoot lower scores.

Just like a reviewer below, this is my second time around with these also - after trying the R7 CGB, I traded in all my older clubs just to get back to the RAC OS 2s. You just can't beat the feel of these irons - they do exactly what Taylor Made says by channeling unwanted vibration away and leaving such a crisp and sweet feel on contact, training you to hit the center spot but not condemning you for a mis-hit. I have the lob wedge also, which is a great sand club.

I started golfing seriously back in February of this year. I started taking lessons once a week until late March and hit the course. I was a hacker 100++, but tried hard. I had a bad over the top move, which is a big flaw for a lot of amateurs. With these clubs I feel that I don't have to swing hard, and I am able to start my swing properly from the ground up, instead of the top down. I am shooting consistantly in the 90's, but shot a 88 for the first time last week:) I agree with other golfers, on the custom sizing. See your local pro shop and get fitted for the club you are using. The TM OS2 irons are great and can help your game,if they are fitted to your specs. I love TM and as I get better will upgrade to a iron that fits my game. Golf is a tough sport to put together, but the OS2 will help the high handicapper enjoy the game. Guys, keep it in the fairway.

Quite possibley some of the most forgiving and easy to hit clubs you could buy. My handicap dropped about 5 points after buying these babies. It's a very smooth swing and a sweet feel on contact. The short irons and PW will give you a very high trajectory, which I prefer around the greens. I am an agressive swinger so I'm still figuring out distances, these clubs will play 1 to 2 clubs up then my old miznos. I've hit the 6 iron over 200 yards and the 4 irons purred to about 220 (I've even gotten the 5 iron over 200 a few times, but i've got to crush it in order to do that). These clubs is for everyone but a LOW single handicap player, they aren't designed to be worked, although it's doable, and the feel is limited on miss hits (sometimes you won't realize how badly you miss hit because the ball goes further and straighter then it should have had you hit with a blade or MB). As with most TM irons, the grips are atrocious but most serious golfers have their own grips on their clubs so I wasn't worried about it. The shafts are high quality, light, and the R is not whippy at all. Try these clubs out, I promise you will be impressed.
