I've own both the LT and the OS. Both are great clubs but the LT is geared more towards a better player. Distance: I gained about 15-20 yards more with the OS. LT is low trajectory. The LT does have a lower trajectory than the OS, but not much. The OS has a lower center of gravity and thus is easier to get the ball up. Advantage: OS Forgiveness: Both are forgiving. When I hit with the OS, it is very easy to get the ball airborne because of its low center of gravity. The OS has a longer toe, but the sweetspot size (horizontal grooves) is about the same. Advantage: The Same Looks: The OS looks bulky. The LT is beautiful at address. Comparable to a blade. It gives me a lot of confidence. It's hard to believe, but the LT weighs more the OS. LT at 15.0 oz while the OS at 14.6 oz. Advantage: LT Workability: The LT wins here hands down. The LT is alot more workable in the rough. Because the LT has less offset than the OS, you can fade, and draw at will. WOW!! The OS will only go straigth or the uncontrollable draw because of the offset. The OS is excellent for a beginner or someone who tend to slice their shots. Advantage: LT Both clubs are great and both hits like butter. Great feel. I am keeping the LT and selling the OS, primarily because I don't believe a golfer has to change their swing and stance to accommodate a club's engineering. Because of the offset, my back was actually facing the target when I swing. I would have easily kept the OS if not for that, but the LT is in my bag. I used to play a set of Hogan Apex blades but, I couldn't catch them solid everytime so I went in search of some workable cavity backs that offered some forgiveness as well. The Rac's were it, I hit every iron in the store and these were the only ones that stood out to me. There distance is great, I can fade it, draw it, whatever I want. And I have some added confidence knowing that even if I don't hit the club right on the screws it will still go a ways and end up somewhere near the target. These are the best irons I have ever owned. My only gripe is that they are supposed to come with Rifle 6.0 shafts and mine didn't so make sure if you buy them to check. It's a great club for a beginner or an accomplished player because they offer the best of both worlds, Workability and Forgivness. Taylor Made RAC LT Rifle 6.0
I'm normally a review reader, not a writer, but once I started hitting the Taylor Made RAC LT, I had to give my input. I had been playing Titleist 962's for a number of years and decided that I would venture out and look for something new to hit...looking for some new technology monstly. Originally, I decided on the Callaway X-16 Pro Series with the Tour Rifle Flighted 6.0 shafts. I must have been suffering from temporary retardation. Those clubs are for HACKS! They are the worst feeling clubs I have ever hit. So back to the net to try out some new irons. I tried everything, Nike, Mizuno, Titleist, Ping, you name it, I hit it. NONE compared to the great look and sweet feel of the RAC LTs. They are an amazing club. Just enough forgiveness to get the bad shots near the target, but not too much forgiveness so you don't forget that you just hacked one up there. No sacrifice on distance. I hit them as long if not longer than my 962's. They say the LT's are low traj, but I don't see a huge difference in my ball flight compared to my 962's. Not a high out of control ball flight, but not penetrating like I had imagined. Fine with me. I think they toss it up there perfectly. In a nutshell, I think these are some of the best clubs I have ever hit. They have a simple, blade like appearance, but don't let that fool you, they pack a sweet punch. Replaced Ping Eye2+. tried ping eye 3+ blade, titliest 762, TA3's, MP30's, Hogan's, and found for my 7 handicap these were the best balance of minimum, offset, workability and looks, and forgiveness out there. I get nice feedback with rifle 6.0's. I went int othe purchase process with MP 30's or TA 3s in mind, but the LT's came out on top. I do not hit every shot perfect and these made up for it. TaylorMade RAC LT Rifle 6.0
I tried these clubs the first time at a golf exhibition in Cologne. I was really surprised about the smooth and soft feeling I have had. The only problem was that I’m 6 and a half-foot tall, so I need longer clubs (1,5 inch longer, 2° up). The next time when it was possible to try the clubs again – was a demo day arranged by my golf club. There I take my decision to buy me these clubs. After the fitting stuff I ordered the clubs. I have to wait 3 weeks, but it was okay for me. Now I have the clubs for 1 week and I’m angry for not to have enough time to play these clubs. I think that are the best clubs in the moment on the market. Try it and love it. The Rifle shaft (for me 6.5) is working really well together with the club heads. The Taylor Made Grips are very good; they have a good and soft feeling in my hands (I took normal standard with 2 times strip under). They are straight and long, the low trajectory is my favourite, because with the other clubs my balls are too high. For example in a tournament I reached a loooong par 3 (238 yards) with an iron 3 - carry (no wind). Incredible! It is my own opinion, but try these clubs and don’t think so much about blades. Customer Service Really good, I have had some problems with the delivery and they helped at once with a personal contact person (via email) Similar Products Used: Mizuno MP-30, Callaway X14, Cleveland TA5,TA7, TaylorMade 320, Ben Hogan Apex CFT, |

I love these irons! I have only been playing for 10 months and have already had a few rounds in the 80's since I purchased the LT's. I recommend them for players of any handicap. Similar Products Used: Mizuno MP-33, Mizuno MP-30, Titleist 960b |

These are sweeeeet! I used to play taylormade supersteels, but I felt the ball balooned up but now, OOOOHHHHHHH! I can control Height, spin, everythig by far the best clubs I have ever tried. If you are in the market give these a try, the RAC OS are just as good but easier to hit. Customer Service Fabulous! Similar Products Used: Everything forged and cast |

I ordered these clubs custom +1/2” and 2deg up, steel stiff rifle shaft. Yesterday I played my first round with them and my first thought was: Wow!! These sticks are sweet! For reference, I am 13 hdcp, I usually shoot in the mid 80’s. My first round out with these I shot 80, and it could have easily been 77 or 78 if not for a few short game mistakes (i.e. missing 3ft. putts). But I felt that my iron play was better than ever, I didn’t gain much distance with these RAC’s over my old set of Macgregor irons, but boy they have a great feel when you hit ‘em pure. They are still forgiving enough on mis hits that you aren’t gonna lose too much, and they have a great look at address that just gives me confidence. I spent a few weeks demoing various clubs and here are some thoughts: Hogan Apex Edge Pro: These had a buttery soft feel on pure hits, but were less forgiving than the RAC LT’s. I was able to work the ball (draw, fade) pretty well, but again with not as much control as with the Taylormades. These are nice clubs, and came in a close second in my search. Mizuno MP 30: These are forged club with a great feel on center hits, but I dunno, maybe my ballstriking isn’t at that level yet, because when I mis hit these a little it was pretty ugly. These will punish a poor swing. Cleveland TA3: Couldn’t draw or fade the ball with much control, and mis hits were way off. Even on pure hits, it wasn’t the same feel to me as the RAC LT, or the Hogans. Anyway, I am very happy with my RAC LTs, and I would highly recommend them to anyone under an 18hdcp. |

I checked and tested these clubs out against 4 other pro line clubs, These felt marvelous, the results were great. The V Foils came in a close second. I expect to knock my scores down to the upper seventies with these babies. I have been using a set of first generation DCI's for years and have been looking for new irons for about a year. It wasn't too hard to part with the money after spending about an hour trying these clubs. If you like big head clubs or don't strike the ball fairly well consistantly you might try something else.
