I went from some old Titleist forged clubs to these. After having the 200's a month and getting a chance to get used to them I went out and took 12 - that's right - 12 strokes off my average. I don't know if it's the confidence or the clubs, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. When you hit the perfect shot, the ball jumps. Real easy to put spin on the ball too. I can finally shape shots!!! I think I'm going to go for the 2 iron next and get rid of my old 5 wood......

My 4 iron snapped during a round of play. That happened on a Tuesday. The Friday of that week I had a brand new, wrapped in plastic 4 iron back in my bag. A Taylor Made customer service rep even calle

I HAVE BEEN USING THESE IRONS FOR ABOUT 1 MONTH AND I HAVE BEEN PULLING THE BALL LEFT. I PREVIOUSLY USED KING COBRA IRONS WITH A GRAHITE SHAFT SO THAT MAY BE WHY THIS IS HAPPENING WITH THE TM STEEEL SHAFT. BUT, WHEN I HIT EM CORRECTLY, THEY GO STRAIGHT, WITH SPIN AND THE DISTANCE IS ABOUT 10 TO 15 YARDS BETTER PER CLUB. ALL IN ALL, WHEN I ADJUST, HERE COME THE 70'S.

GOOD, NO COMPLAINTS, BUT IT DID TAKE A LONG TIME TO GET MY FREE APPROACH WEDGE. 7 WEEKS

I nearly give the Taylor Made 200 series irons a miss, if I have not tried them after getting rid of my Ping I3 irons. The first impression of the 200 series irons is great. The feel of the irons is even better. It is easy to set up, offers plenty of feel and for a moderate offset clubs, you can work the balls as well. A good contact on the sweet spot is just so sweet, and the ball explodes off the club head with a hissing sound. Even off center hit goes pretty well. These clubs are forgiving. I find that I can hit these clubs one club more than what I used to with my previous set of Ping or Cobra. They are no way close to these Taylor Made 200 series clubs. How I wish Taylor Made had introduced them earlier, so that I could have save me a lot of time and money hunting for my right set of clubs. It is indeed a game improvement clubs and players of any skill levels will greatly benefit from these clubs.

Customer Service

No customer service in Perth, but staff in Golf Box is just very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

There are not enough "ee"s in sweet to describe these clubs. The ball flys straight and true off of the face of the long irons. I don't try to work the ball much, but when I have, I have been able to shape some nice shots. The short irons have a nice soft feel around the green. My GIR average has gone up from 20% to 30% in the six rounds I have been playing the club. I expect that number to improve even more, as I learn my "clubbing" distances. I am hitting the 7 iron from 200 yds, and the wedge from 150 yards, which is about 10 yards longer than I am used to. Of all the clubs I tried, I think these are the best looking, too.

Customer Service

I haven't had the need to use them, yet, but I just mailed in a coupon for a free TM 200 approach wedge that TaylorMade is giving to anyone who buys a set of irons. We'll see how long it takes them to

Model Reviewed: 200 Series Irons

I'm an improving beginner and was looking to move up in irons, which I rely on heavily and don't hit too badly. I had been using the 2000 version of the Dunlop DDH irons, which were really nice starter clubs. I have noticed a definite improvement with the TM 200 Series. My mis hits (many) are much more manageable and my shots are longer and have a higher trajectory; thus far this has resulted in softer shots that held more greens, especially in the longer irons. My length has improved, which for me means that I am able to take the 3 iron out of the bag and throw in an extra wedge. I recently hit a 200+ yd 4 iron right on the green. Remember that I'm a beginner! (Have played for two years now with a couple of lessons.) The grips are nice and seem to promote a grip that is more in the fingers than in the palms. Finally, there is the price. These clubs were the best priced premium clubs I could find and they came with a free sand wedge -- hard to beat!

Customer Service

The 9 iron came with a slight gouge on the sole, but no big deal. I didn't inform the retailer as it would have been a hassle to send it back. The clubs took about a week or so to arrive in the mid-at

I bought these irons after demoing them a few times. I've been playing okay with my Callaway X-14s, but just did not have the feel I was looking for. At the first hit with these irons I knew I picked a winner. The irons produce good, but not sharp, feedback. I purchased the S-90 steel shafts because of the slightly lower trajectory. With these irons I feel confident the ball is going to land where I'm aiming more often than with my other irons in the past.

I finally found what I'm looking for in a set of irons. Tried a lot of clubs out there. From oversized heads (can't hit them worth a crap) to custom made clubs. I'm more into the traditional looking club and these line up to the ball beautifully. Just moderate offset so you can work the ball, fades or draws. I agree with some of the reviews in here. They look like a cross between the TM 360 and 320s but they cheaper than the 300 series. I'm usually a graphite player but the shafts are True Temper Dynalites. I hit these higher and farther than my custom made clones by one club. Shot 1 over for nine holes after getting used to the longer distances. Looking foward to breaking 80. I'd recommend these to anyone that is looking to upgrade. Taylor Made is also offering a free wedge(sand wedge or A wedge) after buying 3-PW.

These clubs have allowed me to shoot in the 90s. Thats a great improvement over the last 2 years of never having been out of the 100s. My prior clubs were knock-off oversize steel shaft. Weighted perimeter makes getting the ball into the air and down the fairway much easier. Ball flies straight, most of the time. These can be bought on Ebay day and night at $375 + s&h.

well ,i finally decided to make the plunge and buy new clubs. i had my old ones for 5 years. i purchased the 200's after trying all major brands at demo days. by the way, really didn't know much about them and decide to try them just by the fact they were there with all other taylor made products. hit the 6 iron and was immediatly impressed with the ease in which you hit these irons. they get airbourne quickly, but the distance is great. (hit an 8 from 150). decided to go to another demo to confirm my first results and after hitting all irons for 2 hours i always came back to the 200"s. still continued to compared with all major brands and some i must say more expensive, that includes taylors 300 series. well after 10 rounds i can say that they have improved my game . ease to hit, accuracy, higher trajectory which means you can shot at the pin, set up is great on them plus the fact that they are simple and traditional and very functional. do yourself a favor and try them if you are in the market for new irons and save the money you would spend on other brands and put the money to things like a new driver, putter ,lessons, rounds of golf, gifts for your wife!!!(sorry i had a weak moment). great job taylor and i hope this info convinces you to at least try them at a demo day and see first hand how great these irons are. carmine romano

What's Taylor Made doing branding the 200 series as a 200 series i don't understand? In terms of specifications (offset, loft etc) it should be called TM 340 series. It is exactly that, between the 320 series and the 360 series. It is easier than 320 and give better ball flight than 360. This is absolutely the best irons money can buy, and at $499 regular retail price, this must be a gift from heaven. No joke, you are paying for the supposedly lower end 200 series price, but are getting the 340 specifications product without paying a premium for it. Crazy to miss this.
