Generally happy especially with the forgiveness and durability of the clubs but find that they hit the ball very high and therefor slightly distance than my old set and shots are more affected by the wind.

These have the best feel of any irons I've used so far. The shafts are a little too stiff for me, and I think I need to have the lie angle dropped a bit, but they seem to be more accurate than my Eye 2's although not as forgiving.

Model Reviewed: ISI-Nickel with JZ regular flex with cushin insert

I have always liked these irons. Once owned a set with ZZ-65 shafts, but sold them as they were way to stiff for me. Now I am trying to get used to the regular flex JZ shafts that this set has. I used to hit my 3 iron 200 yds, but only get 185 - 190 with any accuracy. Smooth tempo really helps and I think I get that 190 with less effort than I had to exert with my old irons, resulting in more accuracy. It is also such a pure feeling when hit properly. But, when I give it 100%, I am pushing shots, especially with my long irons.

I plan to persevere and see if I can regain my distances. Also, booked in for a fitting at PING before I do anything else.

However, if I don't regain my distance, I may reshaft with rifle 5.0 or 5.5's. Whatever happens these are still wonderful irons and worth reshafting if necessary.

Customer Service

Was properly fitted for my old set at the PING office and service was excellent.

These are the finest clubs I have ever hit, bar none. They are soft as butter and allow for maximum workability with any ball. You can get them on Ebay (since they stopped making them at Ping) and send them to Ping for any adjustments needed. If you like the Eye2 or ISI-S you will love these clubs. With the number of these on Ebay you can get an almost new set for less than 1/2 retail--including adjustments needed.

Customer Service

Excellent service at very reasonable charges. Best web page--it has everything you want to know about their clubs.

I just started playing golf about a month ago and was using a set of immitation ping-eye 2s. My wife saw that I was so engrossed in the sport and surprised me with a new set of ISIs with regular flex steel shaft. WOW!! The ISI is truly game enhancing set of clubs. It was easier for me to hit the ball longer and straighter. These are truly forgiving irons. I really felt the difference. Now, I'm really hooked into golf! I highly recommend the ISI to all begginners. I've tried the newer Ping I3s and in my opinion, value for money wise, the ISI is the better option.

I got a used set from PGA about 3 months ago and they are great. Really set up nice and are available in custom setups. A very good game improvement iron. I'll be ordering a 1 iron soon.

The best I have ever played. The ball goes where I aim it. I used to have a Taylor Made Bubble irons. Then I switched to these Pings with cushin' steel shafts and I still get the same distance. I'm glad I switched. But get fitted first. You won't be sorry.

It is an excellent club to play. Very forgiving and looks very classic if compare to the older version. The Nickel material feel like forged iron and i have to give a thumbs up to Karsten for doing a nice job.
