FEEL- The i3+ has the best feel of any cast club I've tried. DISTANCE - Weak lofts and shorter standard length cost me a half a club. FORGIVNESS - Some forgivness, but not as much as RACS or old Callaways. OVERALL - I can score well with the 7-PW, but struggle with the long irons. The best PW for chipping I've ever played with! The heads are small and I don't have the confidence I prefer. Normally hit a 6 iron 180, but with these I never seem to hit consistant distances. I hit the stiff shafts very low, but the increas in spin stops and checks nicely. I'm trading for more forgivness in the long irons and more distance overall

Pros: Exceptional feel at impact (soft, solid, never jarring on mis-hits), great looks, very straight even on mis-hits. Perfect fit is expected with Ping's fitting system - no one-lie-fits-all like other brands. Cons: Very short - loss of 10-20 yards on each iron compared to other clubs - simple physics makes reason easy to understand - these clubs have very weak lofts (1-2* more lofted than other makers' irons) so the ball flies higher, which means shorter overall distance for a medium-speed swinger although higher carry, plus the fact that these clubs are 1/4" shorter than other clubs and the swingweight is standard C9 (vs D1-D2 for most other brands), so less mass is in the equation of propelling the ball at impact (potential energy, so it's called...) I hit a 7 iron when I was hitting 8 or even 9 iron with Callaways and other brands. Some fast swingers get more distance with the additional carry, but 75-85mph swing speed on irons (average for a 90-95 shooter like me) leads to lost distance.

Customer Service

Horrible. Called to complain about distance, & rep suggested I have lofts adjusted to tour lofts (1* stronger) - at my expense of $18 + shipping 2-ways! After paying $600+ for clubs, what's the point? They're for sale on eBay now.

Holy Crap!!! These things are as we say in the Bay "The Shiznet". Nothing is better than watching your ball flying high and straight from 170yds. out and sticking the pin. Well, except for responding to your buddy with "6 iron" when he asks "What did you hit?" Feel, distance, control, look, it's all inluded in these irons. I can't say enough about the difference in custom fit clubs. I would recommend these to anyone looking to replace a set. A bit pricy but what isn't these days. If your going to dump the cash on new clubs and you want a quality product, these are for you.

I started 4 years ago playing golf, with an Apron starter golfset. Now shooting in the mid 90's, I decided to buy new gear. After searching the internet I selected 5 makes and models. Went in to Nevada Bob's and started testing. Ping, not being my first choice, gave the ultimate feel and I took a 6-iron on to the range. I was sold. After ordering and receiving the irons it took me 18 holes to get confident. As I took them out on my first serious round I played in the low 90's. Shots had +/- 15 yards more length (6-iron appr. 185 yards). I'll be suprised not shoting mid-80 scores after having my Cleveland 588 wedges (49/56/64) and Titliest 983E driver and 980F (15) fairwaywood delivered to me!

Tried nearly all irons on the market. These felt the best by far. Lots of feedback on impact. Amazing how even mis-hits turn out okay. Trajectory is high, yet my distance is as good as the forged Mizuno MX-20 that I used to play with. Surprised at other reviewers comments about lack of distance with these clubs. I am hitting my 8-iron b/t 165-170 yards. Ball also lands very soft on greens. I can honestly say nothing I have ever hit even compares with these irons. Avg. score has gone from about 88 to 82 in just 6 weeks since getting the clubs. I have become more consistent than ever.

Customer Service

No experience. Only comment is that my clubs arrived very quickly after ordering.

Great clubs! I tried Callaway, Mizuno, Taylor Made and others, but liked the feel of the I3+ club head during the swing. Once properly fitted for these irons, I quickly dropped into the 80s.

Customer Service

Both the staff (Larry, Jimmy) at the 500 Club and the service reps at PING have been very helpful in getting these clubs just right!

I tried 5 or more diffent clubs before purchasing the Pings. It was a toss up between the X-16's and the i3+. I've played the i3+ twice and love them. Complete confidence when I stand over the ball. I needed to drop down a club because I hinting them farther (and straighter).

I have literally tried "every" iron that there is on the market. I work parttime at a golf shop so I have everything readily available. I have played Ping equipment especially Ping irons for the most part over the past 30 years. Recently I demoed the I3+ in various configurations and just couldn't find the right combination of shaft, lie, swing weight etc. Ping offers a large variety of combinations to it's club fitters but I still couldn't find the right set up. I especially did not like the new light weight steel CS shaft that Ping is using in the I3+ line. I love the feel of the feel and feedback of the head but almost all the combinations with the shafts left me a little luke warm. I do not like the seemingly standard swingweight of C9. I like to feel the weight of the head and the end of the shaft. With much trepidation I went off the chart and decided to contact the WRX department. They were extremely helpful as Ping always is and I finally ordered the DGS300 shaft w/sensicore white dot +1/2 inch and specified a D2 swingweight. They even installed Winn midsize grips as I requested. In addition I had my name laser etched on the hosel which is also an option. And to make it even more amazing I had the clubs in 1 week. These are by far the most accurate, best feeling and most finely crafted irons I have ever owned. They were made exactly as ordered and all to and exact D2 swingweight. I cannot say enough about Ping in general and the quality and craftsmanship of these irons. I usually play in the mid 70's with what has been a mediocore iron game this year. The first round with these irons was unreal. The accuracy, the feel and the distance are outstanding. I have read reviews concerning how lite these irons feel and that you cannot feel the head through the swing. I would agree if you order the light weight shaft or you do not specify the swingweight. Ping will make them "for you" and do it quickly and accurately. I have said it many times before but this time I think I mean it......These clubs will be in my bag for a long time to come. Set make up is 3-LW inclusive. Give these irons a chance. They are the finest I have ever hit.

Outstanding - - I LOVE these clubs!! I tried and hit just about everything on the market before deciding on Ping i3 plus. I have black dot irons with CS-Lite stiff steel shafts. I have had these clubs for 3 months now (I play twice a week) and my scoring has dropped from the low/mid 90s to the low/mid 80s. I also had my career low 2 weeks ago, an 80 on a Current Champions Tour event course. So now to the particulars. The irons are unbelievable forgiving - - off center hits lose some distance but stay true to the target line. With respect to distance, I am 5-10 yards longer than every club in my old set (Tommy Armour 845s), with my 8-Iron distance being 160. Distance has never been too much of a problem for me, but what I really like is the high ball flight. At least once a week I will hit a ball that I am sure carried the green and will walk up and see it resting on the back/fringe 2-3 feet from its original ball mark. For those of you who keep track of statistics as they relate to performance, the most noticeable improvement in my game has been my Greens in Regulation, and this has directly led to my lower handicap. (By the way, it is more fun to keep track of GIR when you actually have them on your scorecard). These clubs are easy to hit from all lies and are very easy to align. I am so confident in the 3-iron that my 5 wood is out of the bag. The 8, 9, and PW are incredibly accurate. If you are a low handicapper who regularly works the ball, here are my observations - - working the ball left to right required me to make a small adjustment, but working the ball right to left (my ball normal flight) required no adjustments, and I am regularly seeing a consistent draw and virtually no hook. The clubs are slightly higher in price, but if someone had told me that an extra $100 would make this much difference, I would have paid it a long time ago. Also, after testing many of the similarly priced competing models, these clubs seem like a bargain. Golf is truly fun again. Great job Ping!!

Customer Service

Great - I was fitted by my club pro and had the clubs in my hand in less than one week.
