I switch clubs often.. trying to find the right club. I bought these with out hitting any of them on the range or in the net. Big Mistake. I gained 8-10 strokes. I lost 20 yards a club and hooked them 10 yards easy. I switched pack to my 990''''s and back to mid to high 70''''s.... Good for high handicappers with a slice.... Customer Service Great I like Ping clubs i hit the Tec driver.... Similar Products Used: 990''''s, TA3''''s, X-14, 981 |

Oh wow. First let me tell you about myself. I am a sophmore at FLB Highschool. I play on the varsity golf team there. Last season playing some forged clubs, I managed to shoot a tourny average of 47! If that sounds good to you thats fine but not me. Moving along now I was playing at the beginning of this season with some friends of mine when I noticed a missing 3 Iron from my bag. With a borrowed Ping i3 3 iron I hit a beautiful high 235 yard shot that landed on the green. I have always been a long hitter (6'''' 1 210lbs.) but this was a clean green in 2 on a 535 yard par 5. Didn''''t even need a 3 wood. At that point I was sold, and putting my snowboard instructor winter job money to use bought that very set (my friend moved on to Hogan APEX) I have played a few rounds and have noticed something missing from my game however...... 6 or 7 strokes. Long story short these irons will make for a much more plesant golf year this year. GO FLB!!!! Customer Service Don''''t Need it Similar Products Used: Callaway x-14 |

Great irons, played a used set of Eye 2s when I started and when I3s came out I hit those and had to change. I hit 15 yards farther and the higher loft irons and wedges make the ball stick alot better than the old Eye 2s. A few people complain about the "feel" or lack there of, I don''t think most people buying an oversized iron are worried about the feel, if you are soooo worried about feel I think you are good enough to not have to hit an oversized iron, get some blades and be quiet. Customer Service great Similar Products Used: Ping Eye 2 and cheap retail clones |

Got a great deal on these irons at Nevada Bob''s for $500 new. Had the pleasure of playing my first round with these irons at Torrey Pines (first time there too) and was totally impressed with these irons. The most impressive aspect of these clubs is how easy they are to hit. There is not an easier hitting 3 iron on the market. They hit High, long and straight. I get a kick out of other people saying they can''t work work the ball. Let''s face it, only 5-10% of all regular golfers "work" the ball. The other 90% of us are very happy if the ball goes the proper distance where we aim it. The irons have a generous sweet spot. I have had very few mis-hits. I love the feel of these irons. Although "feel" is subjective, the clubs feel as "soft" as any other forged iron I have played. These irons have a bit more bounce than the i3 blades. I feel this makes the irons easier to hit as well. I thought my 845s''s were easy to hit but these are even easier. Bottom line: If you want a forgiging club that goes high, straight, and long, the i3 O-Size are a great club. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Tommy Armour 845''s Powerbuilt TPS |

I demo alot of clubs and I thought my Adams GT irons were the best thing I had ever hit until I hit these. I think it is because they are custom fit (2 deg upright and 1/2 inch long). Also the head seems to slide through grass alot better than the Adams. The Adams tended to dig. And for all of you complaining about how much they cost you need to realize how well they hold their value. Ping clubs hold their value better than ANY other club on the market. I bought my Adams a year ago for $800 and they are selling on ebay now for less than $200. The I3''s are $650 new and $550 used. Customer Service Adams does not have any custom fit centers anywere near Memphis, TN and the Adams customer support would not change the loft of the clubs because I had already purchased them. I called Ping and tol Similar Products Used: Adams GT, Acer, Cobras, Hogans, Clevlands, and Top Flite. |

This is my 3rd full year playing golf and my first set of steel shafted irons. The first week or so of using these, I was about two clubs shorter than my old Cobra Gravity Backs (graphite shaft), but straight. After using these about 15 rounds, I''m now one club shorter, but the distance is closing. I find these very easy to hit and straight. These are also the first long irons I''ve been able to hit. It is easy to get the ball airborne. I''ve since added the matching SW and LW for a consistent feel 3-LW. Similar Products Used: Not sure about similarity, but used Cobra Gravity Backs, Cleveland 900 series wedges. |

Love the way the long irons get the ball airborne. Even on mis-hits still fairly straight without giving up much distance. Good set of clubs for average golfer..... Customer Service Good |

I changed to i3''s two years ago from Eye 2''s. At first, I was impressed with the solid feel and lack of vibration from bad shots. However, it has taken me 2 years to realise that while they may be an improvement over previous ping models, they are horrid in comparison to top of the range models from the ''better manufacturers''. It is not surprising that you hardly ever see a top pro using Pings. They are simply made for the weekend golfer to help him hack it round in a relatively straight line. They have the feel of cast iron, in fact that''s an exaggeration, they have no feel! the only good thing about them is that you can throw them around and they don''t get marked. Customer Service OK if you like that sort of thing. |

These clubs are the best I have hit...... Bar None!! They have great feel and are very forgiving. I have used these for 3 rounds now and they are amazing. since getting these irons, I have yet to hit a 5 or 7 wood. They get up quickly, are easy to hit and feel good in my hands. I bought these for $650 for steel shafts. Compared to the other top names, I don''t think they are priced too bad. I also bought a SW for an extra $80. I''m going to jam a 2iron as well. I''ve never been able to hit a long iron well until I got the I 3''s. Oh, I still hit fat, and off the toe, but off the toe still travels a long distance and the hieght is unbelieveable. I''m very pleased with these irons. Believe the hype folks......... Ping I 3 O size are for real. Customer Service I haven''t delt with Ping, but Discount Golf in Belleville, IL. (Where I bought them) is simply fantastic. Similar Products Used: These are the first "REAL" set of irons I have had. I''ve had clones and the like before. |

There are few things that people forget to mention about these clubs. Don''t get me wrong ! They are great ! However, they are on the heavy side. My clubs are very heavy. Of course the fact that I have stiff shafts and oversize grips may have something to do with it .. If you want irons that are forgiving then these are great clubs !! However, they are "straight to the hole" clubs. I don''t like the feeling so much either. I have a feeling that I may have not been sized properly .. Customer Service good ..
