Ping i 3 O and Blade
I purchased a mixed set of O and blades. The 3,4, 5 are O and 6 on to PW are blades. These are not ultra long irons that give you all that distance everyone is looking for. They are however, very accurate and the distance control on sweet and off center is very very good. The shaft is good at reducing vibration and the head gives a solid feel. The quality control was superb with all irons a D-1 as I ordered with special grips the gold oversized. The ball flight is mid/high not balloning up and they impart a good deal of spin allowing your ball to hold on the green. These I find are easy to draw and more effort to fade. These are very useful on windy conditions. The iron hits knock downs with precision. I have hit better feeling, longer and higher launching irons, but these are accurate accurate accrutate--- get the picture! Ping I 3 OS
In my decision to upgrade irons, I had narrowed the choices to the Titleist 822's or the Ping I 3 OS. Both have great reviews. I found a place where I could hit both. Actually both hit very well and comparable. My decision finally came down to the short irons. To me the Ping had the irons that setup best, looked best, and hit the straightest. Both sets of long irons were easy to hit. I just did not like the extreme O S to the Titleist as well as I did the ping. And another decision which probably helped my choice was the Pings had the Rifle 6.0 shafts where the Titleist had the step shafts. For my swing the Rifle won. I would not be afraid to recommend either set to anyone. It came down to personal choices and likes. Both companies are top of the line so how could you go wrong. Customer Service I have used both...and both are exceptional. Similar Products Used: I have used many: Ping ISI, ISI-K, Zing, Eye 2, Titleist OS Black, Titleist 981's, Mizuno Comp. Shorter than prior clubs (King Cobra Tours) but they are lofted weaker than Cobras. Longer irons feel somewhat dead. Short irons are very nice. In the expensive side. Customer Service Excellent. Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14: more forgiving but no feel. |

Ping i3 O-size irons
Have hit the i3's for two seasons now. They have been reliable and forgiving irons. They are somewhat "clunky" and difficult to work the ball. They are very accurate when struck well, and forgiving on off-center hits. I have not noticed any great improvement in my game from using them. Previously hit toski irons, which were less forigiving but had better control. These Cushin irons shafts are pretty good, in terms of aborbing vibration. Overall, I'd recommend these irons, as forgiving, reliable, and accurate. Their length is not great, but that's not what you need in irons. Customer Service Ping has been very helfpul whenever I've called, but I haven't required any warranty work. Similar Products Used: Toski SE-222's, Cleveland TA5's, Ping Eye-2's |

I was a low 80's golfer for my high school team in the late 1980s. I had been using Slotline Inertial cavity backs since that time. I have decided to get my game back after nearly a ten year layoff. These clubs have been great! I have had them out three times, and I enjoy them more and more each time. They have distance, are straight and true, and have a smooth swing. They are confidence builders. With a little more practice with my up and downs and putting, I will be shooting low 80's again in no time! These are awesome clubs! I've had them for about a month now and I am consistently hitting the ball straighter and 10-20 yds longer than I usually did with my old clubs. They are heavier than most clubs, but this helps for a smoother swing. They are really forgiving, even when it feels like you hit it off the heel of the club it still goes straight! I love these things. The ball trajectory is also slightly higher than with most clubs. Much better and easier to hit than the Blades!! I highly recommend going out and buying these clubs. They are worth the money! Customer Service Not needed to use yet Similar Products Used: Callaway x-14, Cleveland TA7 |

I use to shoot 100-120 with my old set of no names. Now I shoot 90+/- playing 18 and 40 when playing 9. The clubs are so much bigger than my other set and I hit straight almost all the time. I also gained a little distance with these clubs I hit my pitching wedge about 125yds. The feel of the club after hitting the ball is great pretty much there is no feel. The clubs aren't much to look at but it doesn't really matter because they play so nicely. I wouln't recomend these to anyone who wants to fade the ball because it shoots so straight thats all it wants to do. |

ALL golf clubs offer tradeoffs - both good and bad aspects. Overall, the Ping i3 0-Size are a good/great game improvement set of irons. I would recommend these irons to golfers that 1) play and practice at least once a week, 2) have above average physical abilities, and 3) have a tendency to fade the ball. GOOD - Forgiveness in both the clubhead and shaft, look, distance control (you will not hit your irons farther but, more importantly, you will know what club to pull from your bag) Bad - Club weight - the clubs are slightly heavy which occassionally prevents you from getting your hands through the ball. The bounce and lie also make it difficult to hit low, knock-down shots. Customer Service OK - I ordered from the factory and they arrived in a timely manner Similar Products Used: Titlest 981 |

Ping i3 O-size irons
I picked these up last year switching from Ping Zing irons which I never really felt great about. In fact, I had wished for several years that I had not traded in my old Hogan Edge forged cavity backs for the Zings. The i3 O-size irons made forget all this! I think that the feel is superb, even when compared to forged clubs. They are forgiving for off-the-sweetspot hits, but when hit squarely, they are buttery soft. My distances haven't changed much with these clubs, but accuracy certainly has...all the way through the set from the 3 iron to the SW. I think a real can't miss...Looks good at address, and gives great results. Customer Service Haven't needed. Similar Products Used: Ping Zing |
