These are great clubs. I was between either the Ping's or a set of titleist DCI. The DCI's felt a bit heavier so I choose the Ping and that was no mistake. I now hit the ball at least 2/3 times in the sweet spot. Great BUY!! Similar Products Used: I've also tried the Hawkeyes and Titleist DCI |

OK......after 5 years of playing custom fitted Hogan Medallion irons, I decided to give the Ping's a try. I went through the custom fitting process and ordered them. The weather here has been awful for the past 2 months and I really haven't had a chance to "audition" them under actual playing conditions. I did manage to get to the range for the first time and try them out. The first thing I noticed is that the heads are definitely "heavier" than my Hogan's. I also don't get the same crisp feeling when hitting the ball dead center in the club face. Since I haven't had a chance to try them on the course, I can't say whether I see any noticeable difference in distance. But, I can see, that it is going to take a while to get used to the additional "weight." From my range debut with these irons, I was dissapointed with the accuracy as well. Some of this may be due to the fact that I have had, what I consider, a long lay-off from playing. But, I am not "smitten" with "how great" these clubs are just yet. They will have to post some mighty low scores before they will get that seal of approval. Just in case......I still kept my Hogan Medallion's in the event that the Ping's don't "cut the mustard!" When I have actually put them through their paces I will repost a comment. But for now.......they just get an "OK" with me. Customer Service No experience with Ping other than the ordering process. I got fitted and after I got them I spent 4 hours at the driving range I was ready for my new Pings. Wonderful. Customer Service I had a sad experience about a Putter I ordered from a Store but was shipped directly to me from Ping - did not have the specs I wanted and Ping will not accept replacement withour going through the store. I received these custom fitted clubs last week and have played with them 3 times since. 2 of the three rounds were in the 70's. I have never hit an a more consistent iron than this one. These are solid, forgiving, and I can work the ball with them. I hit the 3 iron (I never used to even carry one) over 240 yards four times in my last outing. Long irons are a dream. I have since ordered the LW and SW. Similar Products Used: Mizuno Pro Forged, Bullet .444, Topflite Tour |

Just got my set 2 days ago. Went to the range and was immediately impressed. Hitting the long irons is easy and they are very accurate. The wedges are amazing. The custom fitting process was very detailed and they take the time to make sure you get the results you want.If you are looking for some very easy to hit clubs that will give you instant confidence try these clubs. Customer Service I talked to their fitting department and they were extremly helpful. Similar Products Used: Wilson Ultra 45's Ping Zing |

I have been using X-12 for all of 1999 and have just demoed the i3 O-sizes. Forgiveness on the i3s is about the same but ACCURACY -WOW !!. Made an on the spot decision to buy a set of green dots, JZ Cushin shafts. I did find I lost just a smidgen of distance though (less than 1/2 club length) but that's not going to worry me !! I played a borrowed set of ISIs in '98 which also were great but they were sent back to PING b/c of some defect in the shafts. But to sum up, the i3s are great !! Buy 'em !! Similar Products Used: X-12s(OK).Hawkeye irons (no feel! Good on long irons but pathetic on short), Ping ISIs (great clubs, better than Callaways but with the i3s out.....) |
