I've had these irons for over a year now. In that time, my handicap has dropped from 14 to 9. That might be enough of an argument, but the smaller heads and reduced offset really help my confidence at address. Feel is fantastic and with a decent ball, I get a lot of spin out of these clubs. I like the minimal bounce too. I feel like I can go after the ball with no problems. I do find it hard to hit high draws, but that's only because this club hits the ball so damn straight. With a decent swing, the ball goes exactly where you aimed. These are fantastic irons. Highly recommended.

Customer Service

Getting fitted is definitely key. Had the clubs delivered in two weeks.

Excellent feedback and feel. You know when the sweetspot is struck. Even though this club has a reputation for being unforgiving, I find this club to twist less than other clubs I have tested on off-center hits and still maintain a good distance. The set up at address is comfortable and the white line helps on face alignment.

Feel is great. Distance is great. Workability is great. Accruacy is great. Feedback is great. Look is great. What more can I say? This is a great set of irons.

I think the Blade is not just for low handicappers. If you are a high handicapper looking to improve on your game, get this blades. These blades aren't game improvement clubs, however, these clubs DO help you improve your game. You know immediately if you hit the sweetspot or not, unlike my old X-12s, I couldn't feel anything.

Hint on custom fitting: Try to get fitted by different pros and make the decision yourself. I got 3 different custom fitting specs from 3 different pros. At the end, I choose the spec that I felt the most comfortable with. You should do the same.

After being assured by several fitters that my Ping ISI's were properly fit to me with red dots (1* flat), and being 6'2", I took it upon myself to custom fit MYSELF and found that blue dot (1* up) was my perfect fit. I had been hitting a consistent fade with my ISI irons, but the open clubface at impact was causing me to lose distance. I went to demo the i3 Blades and the rest is history...

I got the i3 Blades from the WRX department, Rifle 6.0 FCM shafts, Ping i3 half-cord -1/64" grips, BLUE dot 1* upright. If you are looking for DECENT forgiveness, shot-shaping capabilities, and a smooth, solid, effortless feel, then these are for you. First off, they look amazing and inspire confidence. The have the perfect ethestics for me. The reduced offset of the Blades let you work the ball in any direction, and is better for better players who don't like all the offset in many of the game improvement irons manufacturers are making today (which can cause hooks). These are definately not the most forgiving irons I have ever played with, but when hit on the sweetspot they give the best feel, accuracy, and distance I have ever gotten from an iron. I would recommend them to someone who frequently hits their ball near the center of the clubface, any severe mishits are 10+ loss of distance. Any slight mishits are corrected beautifully, 5 yards or less distance loss, and very straight (what you would expect from a Ping). I would suggest a better shaft then the stock JZ Cushin shaft. Although this is a good shaft, you can get much better upgrades through the WRX department with a slightly higher turnaround time (I got Rifles, I've never played or would want to play anything else). Definately the best iron I've ever played.

Even though they are called blades I found the easier to hit then my callaway x-14 clubs. They feel solid with very little vibration on mishits. They seem to be a lot more accurate then my x-14 and distance is about the same. All I can say these are the best clubs I have ever tried and used.

The Callaway rep was at one of our local driving ranges and after hitting the x-14's I was convinced I needed to look at some new irons. Stopped at a superstore and tried the Titleist, Callaway, Ping O-Size, and the Taylor Made 360, hitting into a screen. Liked the Ping and Taylor made the best, but wanted to try all of them outdoors. Went to another shop and got demos of all 4. Next day took the Titleist and the Callaway back, and got demos of the Blade and the 300 and 320. Came down to the 300, or 320 in Taylor Made and the Blade in Oversize in Ping. This past weekend I demoed the Taylor Mades and Pings again. I was definitely convinced that the Blades where for me. So easy to put a fade or a draw on the ball. The O-Size where nice, but could not work the ball at all. I can't wait to try them in a round, hopefully this weekend. Excellent clubs the feel and accuracy is amazing.

I'm a seven Hcp that had been playing the I3 O-Size for the last year. Despite being reassured by 3 different fitters that the blue dot irons I was using were right for me, I had a tendence to draw the ball more than I liked. I had a chance to demo a set of the Blades and was hooked immediately. Nothing but 5 yd. draws. I traded my O-Size for a set of WRX Blades. Blue dot, DGS shaft, 1/2" over length, D4 SW. The first time out, without even having a chance to take the new irons to the range, I shot a 71 on slightly harder than average course. Enough said.

I owe most of the credit of becoming a better golfer to these clubs. I went from shooting in the mid 90's to scratch in a little over a year and these clubs helped me to do it. These irons are so sweet. You can feel the mishits but the only one who can tell you mishit the ball is you, the ball flies just the same. I went from hitting a 6 iron 150 yds with my old clubs to now hitting a 9 iron 150 yds. I would most deffinently recomend these clubs to anyone wanting to get serious about golf and are looking for a club to bring their score down, these are awesome!

Have played mostly cavity backs in the past and these are by far the most accurate. Find I am able to aim for the pin rather than just aiming for the green. They also have a great feel, when you hit the sweetspot you know it instantly, while off center hits give you feedback but are not overly punishing. I have the 1 iron, and it is great to use as a driving iron. Picked up the matching sand and lob wedge after seeing how well the pitching wedge performed. Had Ping change the loft on the sand wedge to 54* to help the transition and to avoid carrying a gap wedge. Though not all agree, I really like the look of this iron. Have had these i-3's for over a month now and they are really starting to perform.

I have spent the winter trying to find a great set of Irons and have declared these the winner. They have great feel and control. I found it easy to shape shots, with a club which sets up very well. I tried Ping Eye 2's, Titleist 990, and Titlesit 962's and these won easily. With these you aim and fire. I highly recomend trying out a set. There are always good sets on Ebay
