I3 Blade
Picked these up three weeks ago and love them. I had wanted to move up from my LCG's to lower my ball flight. It took a few swings to get used to them (they are 1 inch over), but it looks like I got the bonus plan, I had them fitted (white dot) and not only is the trajectory lower, but I have much more control over my ball flight. I have only been able to get out to actually play once so far (lots of range time) and I parred all of the holes I played where I could feel my hands (it has not been warm). I get to play again this weekend and cannot wait. I got the Dynamic Gold S300 shafts and a two iron, well worth it. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made LCG (S-90) |

I really don't like the way the look but I do love the way they hit... They feel very solid and are easy to hit from both fairway and rough. They are very forgiving and you pick up a good bit of distance with them... I never been a big fan of PING but these clubs really are great... I have the blue dot and it fits me just fine... I got 2iron-LobWedge. Similar Products Used: Callaway X14pro series, Titleist DCI 962, and others... |

PING i3 blade
These are the best PING clubs made to date. I got them just about 2 weeks ago and went from shooting high 70s to par or under just with the new irons. I wouldn't trade them for any other set. I 3 Blade
I had these irons about one month. I had Ping recommend my fittings, and they recommended green 2 degree upright. I struggled with these clubs from day one. I consistantly hit dog hooks right, and I have never been able to hook a ball. My normal shot is a high fade right. I hit ever shot left no matter what the iron. I was hitting Ping ISI prior to these in blue dot, and doing fine except high right. I found I was not good enough to hit these blades or Ping mis fitted me and the toe was setting up too much and getting around too quickly. Needless to say these irons are back on E-Bay, and I am going to Callaway X-14's for the forgiveness. I have always been a Ping golfer up until now. I could never hit these solid. They had no head feel for me and the S300 shaft were too stiff. If you are a higher handicapper I would stay away from these irons. I hit the 962 blades much better than these high rated irons. Sorry Ping, but I do not like your fitting scale. I will stick with the X-14's and the 981's. Customer Service I feel Ping really mis fitted me with these irons. All the way from the model type, lie, and shaft recommendations. Similar Products Used: 962's, 981's, Apex Plus, ISI, ISI-K, 845, 855, A-3's... |

Ping I3 all the way baby.. These clubs are as solid as they come, and believe me I have just about bought them all. These do not hit like blades, because they are actually small cavity back blades. I do not know why anyone would be afraid to try these. You will love them. Aim at the target and fire away. Nice feel with little vibration, and very workable. I used to tend to hit to the high right with my irons, but not with the Ping Blades. Not really high and with a slight draw. The distance is consistant and equal to most of the other clubs I have hit. Customer Service Ping and Titleist are by far the best. Ping i3 Blades
I have played with a set of Wilson Progressive(forged) for 6 yrs, trying many different sets during that time. I bought a set of Ping i3 blades 3 weeks ago. They are simply the best overall club I have ever hit. I hit 15 greens in my fourth round with these clubs (big improvement). My only negative is the Sand wedge, which is in the closet. Now replaced with my Wilson forged. Customer Service Ordered the clubs and received them is 10 days. Wish they would make a better Sand wedge Similar Products Used: Wilson RM, Callaway X-12, X-14, Maxfli Revo, Tommy Armour EVO and Hogan apex |

This club is hard to hit.You can hit far, when you hit on the sweet spot. But you can also hit very poor when you miss the sweet spot. The distance is less than ISI-K that I have. Similar Products Used: ISI-K, Air Bear, Titleist 990, Titleist 981, Titleist DCI |

i never thought i'd end up with pings in my bag...i've been playing blades,(nicklaus pro carbons), i had been trying out the mizuno pro 2 and the titleist 990s...then i was told by a friend to at least hit the i3s. i was a bit reluctant, thinking that i would not care for them...i had tried the isi-s...did not like it, but i did...got fitted and bought them! the shaft is key with these irons, i ended up with the zz-65, and the red dot. they are consistent, and you can still work the ball. that is a first for ping...although the eye 2 was a good iron...the i3 is easier to shape shots with. I love the setup at address and with the shaft choice the ball flight is great. i highly recommend these clubs...but get fitted...not everyone is a "black" dot! Customer Service i did call ping about shaft selection, they were very helpful Similar Products Used: mizuno pro forged, titleist 990 |
