I can't say enough good things about these clubs. I used Mizuno Pro II's over the last couple of years and have been very pleased with them. I bought a set of MP-33's over the winter because I loved the look so much. Turns out I hit it way too high and since my practice time has diminished recently, I don't hit it in the exact middle of the club face anymore....and that is required with MP-33's. So I borrowed a set of I3's and fell in love immediately. Very forgiving but provide a great feel. The trajectory ia actually lower than with the Pro II's and the MP-33's, which is odd since they are both forged. Anyhow, I went on to eBay and bought a set 3 degrees up and 1/2 inch long with stiff shaft. The main thing is that I can practice a bit less and still feel confident that I can hit it good because of the forgiveness in the club. I recommend the I3's highly....By the way, I tried the I3+ and wasn't as impressed with the look. Head is a bit larger.

Following up my previous review, I have more to add. These irons are so good, I've contemplated getting another set in lieu of upgrading to the i3+ blade. I'm not happy about the lighter "feel" of the new i3+ blade although I am sure I could get used to it if there was improvement over what i already consider to be the best irons on the market. These blades are accurate, probably the best description I could give. Provided your set-up and face are square to the target, these irons keep their line and workability is par with any forged blade out there. Please be advised to get fitted for these irons(or any other if offered).

Customer Service

Not needed,a lthough I have phoned PING and they have always been receptive and ready to accomodate any need you have, they'll alter any PING club(s) to suit your needs as extra reasonable costs. Very professional, and wouldn't expect less.

I'd have to say these are just okay clubs. The swingweight is closer to C9, not D2 as stated in a prior review. This is why stiff shafts work okay for me, despite the fact that I usually play R-flex. They are not very workable; it requires a big move, lots of work to draw or fade. The real problem, though, is that mis-hits don't feel that bad, and you can't tell where you mis-hit it unless it's a severe miss. Sweet hits sometimes fly much farther than expected making distance difficult to control. And the so-called "Cushin" insert doesn't damp much. Overall, I'd be happier with a set of blades; in fact, I'm getting some Titleist 690CB to replace these.

Superb irons. I am a 10 HC and was a bit apprehensive initially in playing a smaller head, however, this was not found to be the case. These irons are deadly accurate. I recently played 5 rounds on Hilton Head Island and as far as iron play went, I was all over the pins, near aces on at least 3 separate Par-3's, and many birdie opportunities. I had been playing Eye-2's prior to this and must admit these new ones are longer and as accurate or more. I have tried several top line irons and certainly have found these original i3's the best out there although i have not swung the i3+ irons, they are probably as good but lighter as I prefer a heavier swing weight(D2's).

Customer Service

Have not needed with these, prior exerience is second to none.

I have played with the TM 320 and they were great clubs. I was in at Go Golf and they had a clearance sale on the Ping I3 Blade for $300. They fitted me for a set of the Cushin Steel Stiff shafts. I knew that if I did not like them that I could sell them on Ebay and get my investment back. The first thing I notice was that I hit them straight as an arrow. The distance was very close to my TM 320's but I had a better feel when I hit the I3 blades. I sold my fairway woods and purchase the I3 blade 2 iron. I can hit the 2, 3, 4 irons better than I have every hit fairway woods. I find these clubs to be the best iron investment in over forty years of golf.

Sound golf iron investment. I played Eye-2's for 15 years, then finally broke down and switched to the i3 blade as these are most compatible with the Eye-2's which I have kept and still love. The i3's are fantastic however, and are a true players club. If your ball striking ability is even a bit off, you will not be pnealized as much as with comparable smaller head irons. Although these are not "true" blade irons, they sure feel as though they are. The accuracy is even better than my Eye-2's which are considered very accurate. I have also gained about 5-10 yards of distance with the switch. Playability is key, as these are excellent for shaping shots and if you are a natural draw player as I am, they are a perfect match for you. Longer irons are a bit more difficult to play than are the shorter(7-SW), although this does not take away from the benefits overall.

Customer Service

Second to none, although have not needed their service, i have communivated over the phone with Ping CS and they are very prompt and informative to tend to any need you have, they pride themselves on service, but you may never need it with their products.

A truie classic. This club is not as demanding as you think. I like the old version with less offset and with zz65 shafts better than the new (improved?) version i3+. Distance, accuraccy is great. Feedback Ok and the look – well they are not true blades, but the workmanship is outstanding!

I have had these clubs for about 2 months and I love them. They were almost new with only a few of the irons having ever been hit When I got them. I got a great deal on them but I found that the dynamic gold S400U shaft that they were fitted with was way too stiff for me. I reshafted them with dynamic gold R300 shafts and I could not be happier. The reason I went to the dynamic golf shaft was to lower the trajectory of my shots and it worked out great. These are, by far, the straightest clubs I have ever owned. I played 845s for about 4 years. These were very good clubs as well but they were no where as forgiving as the Ping I 3. I am hitting the Pings about a club longer as well and that never hurts as I am getting older. I find the Pings easy to work either for a fade or a draw but, as with the 845s and other game improvement clubs, you do need to set it up and work harder to get the ball to move. My Hogan Apex were much easier to work but also much harder to hit. I am hitting the Pings a bit lower overall but that is what I wanted. One poster noted that they could not get the club airborn. This would be more a function of the shaft flex and kick point than of the club head. The clubs stop the ball on a dime. My wedge takes one hop and stops, period. I eagled a short par five the second time out with these clubs. From 205 years out, the 3 iron hit once, jumped forward about 15 feet and sat about 6 feet from the pin! I love when that happens! If I had any negatives on the clubs it would be that they seem more bottom heavy than my 845s. I am certain that I will become accustom to that trait and it is hardly worth mentioning. Someone also posted that they are not a very good looking club. Well, they keep looking better to me all the time. I would highly recomend this club to any player of any ability. With the new Ping I 3 plus having come out, the Ping I 3 Blade can be purchased at a very good price. Make sure you are fitted. I found that the 2 degree flat blue dot worked better for me than the standard lie black dot. Make sure that you try out the shaft flex before you buy them as this will affect the trajectory of your ball flight and distance.

I had previouly used a set of Cleveland TA-7's for about three months and finally realized that the offset in those clubs was causing me to hook the ball too much. Being about a 10 handicap I figured that I still needed some offset in my irons to compensate my swing just not as much as the TA7's were offerring. After hitting the Ping I3's I realized that this was the club for me for a couple of reasons. First, the cavity back still provided the forgiveness that I sometimes need during a round of golf. Second, the "reduced" offset (there is still some offset just not very much) prevented teh club face from closing too early and thus reduced my tendency to hook the ball. I would say that if you are a 10-15 handicap these clubs would provide the same satisfaction for you as well. Don't be intimidated by the fact that these clubs say "blade" on them. The only "blade" thing about them is their smaller club face size. Unlike normal blades, a slightly off-center strike with these clubs will produre a similar ball flight pattern compared to a sweet-spot strike.

I OWNED A SET OF PING I3 BLADES FOR OVER A YEAR, THEY'RE NOT A PARTICULARLY GOOD LOOKING CLUB, BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER MUCH IF YOU LIKE THE WAY YOU HIT THEM, WHICH I DIDN'T, TWO THINGS, I HAD TROUBLE GETTING THEM UP IN THE AIR, MY BALL FLIGHT WAS TOO LOW WITH THEM, AND I COULDN'T HIT A SLIGHT CUT SHOT, WHICH USE TO BE MY BREAD AND BUTTER, WITH THESE CLUBS IT JUST WASN'T THERE ANYMORE, SO IF YOU WANT A CLUB THAT GOES STRAIGHT EVEN WHEN YOU WANT IT TO SLICE ALITTLE THEN YOU MAY WANT TO LOOK INTO A SET OF THESE, I WAS FITTED FOR ORANGE DOT,( 2 DEGREES FLAT ) WHICH MAY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE LOW TRAJECTORY, THE NEXT SET I BUY WILL BE STANDARD, I OWNED A SET OF PING EYE 2 YEARS AGO AND LOVED THEM ( WISH I HADN'T SOLD THEM )
