I'm not much on writing reviews but I had to this time. These irons have made golf fun again.I don't hit the 9 iron 180 yards or hit draws on command. But what I do get is high straight shots that leave me a lot of chances at birdie or par.I've only played 27 holes with these but you couldn't get me to switch to another iron now for nothing. Thanks Ping! Similar Products Used: KZG original Blades. And about anything else ever manufactured. |

Definitely more forgiving them my already forgiving Ping i3 irons, however they do fly higher which presents a problem for me in the wind since I am not a knock down artist. Customer Service The best Similar Products Used: Ping i3, Ben Hogan |

One word describes these irons: AMAZING!!! I am a 6 handicap and have hit almost every iron on the market. For the last year, I have been playing Mizuno MX-20's and liked them a lot, but had some trouble with the long irons. I generally lean towards forged irons, as I am a feel player, and I am not a PING fan. However, I heard great things about the G2's and decided to try them. After 1 swing, I knew these were for me. My first round with them was a 75 and that's only because I flew 5 greens. That's right, these clubs are long! Not only long, but straight, forgiving and workable. Definitely get fit for the right "dot". I should be scratch in the next month. Highly recommended. Customer Service excellent. Clubs were special ordered, and I received them in 1 week. Recently bought the new Ping G2 4-SW irons fitted with green dot. I have played with King Cobra II irons for the past few years and they were a wonderful beginners set for 90's and above. I got to the point were I wanted more playability and feel but similar forgiveness. I went down to the local golf store and compared the new KC SSi, Mizuno MX-23, Nike Slingshot. Both the King Cobra and Nike irons were straight but dull in the feel category. The Mizuno and Ping had similar characteristics but the Ping carried about 10 yards farther in the air. Both were priced the same and the golf pro praised the customer service of Ping. In the end, I felt Ping had the best ability to bring my High 80's game down to the low 80/high 70's over the next few years. I am now hitting my 7 iron 165 compared to 150 with the King Cobra II. I highly recommend the Ping G2 for anyone with a 12+ handicap looking to drop it down to single digits. I am currently a 16-17 handicap, soon to be 10!! Customer Service I have been told Ping is the best and I expect that to be true if I need them Similar Products Used: King Cobra II |

Ping G2 Irons
I’ve played golf 2 times a year for 10 years. Then the fever hit me a year ago. That’s when I purchased a set of used Ping Eye 2+’s. I loved them, but my distance always suffered. I conducted extensive research on new irons and chose the Ping G2’s. I was properly fitted, ending up with the 3 and 4 high lofts, and 5 – PW standard (green dot). I also added 1 inch to the CS lite stiff shaft, progressively stepped to soften them. At the range, the clubs performed very well. Feedback was wonderful. I knew exactly where the ball struck the clubface – something that was lacking from the Eye 2’s. I also gained about 10-15 yards per club. Another significant improvement was the launch angle. I would estimate a 10 degree higher loft per club. I also began drawing the ball, where before, I was hitting very straight. I attribute this to compensating for an incorrect lie angle on my previous irons. After playing about 7 rounds with the G2’s, I can hit all of the irons straight except for the 9 and PW (still a slight draw). Feedback and distance are great and my confidence has increased dramatically. The 3 and 4 high lofts are exceptional. The increased sole width is a real bonus, preventing the iron from digging in on fat shots. As a result, my scores have decreased by about 10 strokes per round, and still going down. And for those detractors who don’t like the finish of Ping irons, consider this: After a few months banging around in the bag, they will look exactly the same as the day they were purchased. Customer Service Ordered the Pings through a local dealer at the beginning of spring (apparently their busy season). I was promised them in 2 1/2 weeks. Received them in 1 week. I can't say enough about these irons. I ordered them and they came in about a week ago. I got the regular 4-W and the 3 iron in the HL. I've only had the chance to play once with them and take them to the range once. My initial impression is that these irons will quickly raise my game to a new level. They are extremely easy to hit and have a great high tragectory. I've never hit irons this straight. I have been consistently hitting and sticking greens much more than I ever have. I'm also a big fan of getting these, or any, irons fit. I didn't go to an authorized Ping fitter (although I wish I had) but had the clubs fit at Golfsmith. They feel perfect. I also really like the HL 3 iron. I have a lot of confidence on any narrow fairway to hit this club and keep it in the fairway. I can't say enough about the clubs. They are, however, costly. They retail for about $799. I hope they will last many years. Customer Service N/A |

Ping G2 irons
I searched for several weeks until I settled on the ping g2. They are as advertised. Easy to hit and very forgiving. I highly recommend to get the sand and lob wedges, they are the easiest clubs to hit. The wedges are great! The wedges have are large sole which slides through the ball and always seems to deliver a straight consistent shot similar to hitting from a practice mat. The club consistently gets through the ball without digging and gets the ball airborne. The long irons are the easiest long irons I have ever hit. The ball easily gets up. My only problem was turning the ball over with a large draw (my natural shot is a slight draw anyway). The distance was about 1/2 to 1 club longer than my previous Hogan blades. Feedback was muted but I expected that coming from a forged club to the cast. these clubs inspire nothing but confidence at address. My only disappointment is these clubs don't fix swing flaws but almost. These clubs are pricey but worth it. These are pings and they consistently hold good value. Whatever you do get fitted. I never realized that I needed 2 degrees upright, I assumed I was standard- I was wrong. Having correct angle has cured my block to the right that was occurring because I needed the upright. Customer Service Ping said 2 weeks and it was to the day 2 weeks. Similar Products Used: 2004 big bertha, Hogan Apex plus |

I had a set of Ping eye 3s which I liked from the day I bought them so I thought how much better could the G2s be. Couldnt be worth the $375.00 to upgrade on a trade but the pro shop I go to has a range and I thought I would check them out. They gave me a 7 iron and my upon the first hit it was WOW then another and another. I was convinced after 5 hits the $375 was well worth it, had to have em. Now off to the course. My previous 2 outings 90 and 92. First game with the G2s 82 second game 84. I know its too soon but these things are awesome! Straight on mis hits, accuarate and easy to hit. Ball gets in the air easily and what was a 7 iron is now an 8. Confidence is a wonderful thing in golf and these iron exude it. As for the HL option I pesonally did not like them. The standard 3 and 4 are very easy to hit and I preferred the consistency of looking down at the same style of club as the shorter Irons. Ive seen other reviews that have said they are too straight cant work the ball.DUH. Ill take middle of the fairway and a straight shot to the green any day. |

PING G2 Irons
Got a set of G2 Irons 3 weeks ago. Very very impressive. I would highly recommend custom fitting, I feel the major difference came in due to the custom fit. I got the red dot with Aqua grips. My major problem has been with the long iron (like it is for most of us), I would normally have shots leeking to the right when hit with a 3 or 4 Iron. I have played 7 rounds with these clubs now and am hitting my 3 iron 220 yds - dead straight. I have actually started using the long irons to tee off the short par 4's. I also really like the look of the club when you address the ball, I do tend to get more confidence if I like the look of the club. Another thing I like about the club is the feedback it gives on off center shots, I did not get that from the Callaway's which I was considering buying. I would highly recommend these clubs. I did like the HL's too much, I hit them very high. Customer Service Have not used them yet, however, I bought the clubs from TGW and they were wonderful. I was promised the clubs in 2-3 weeks, got them in 5 days. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made SuperSteel, Graphite Shaft Titleist 822 OS, Steel Shaft |

Ping G2 and G2HL irons
I was using store-bought Spalding Executive EZ irons for the last 9 years. I was at a point where I couldn't break 90 routinely. I was coincidently at a point where my clubs needed to be regripped for the season. I did the right thing though, I bought new irons instead, Ping G2's! I received my new irons about three weeks ago. I have one word that will describe them: PHENOMENAL! I didn't want to post a review until I played 8-10 rounds with them. So here it is... First, I can't stress enough the fitting process. It is very important! I have a 4 degree lie angle (silver dot), I added an extra 1/2" shaft length, and I went with oversized grips (gold). I selected 2 thru 4 in the Ping G2 HL (high loft) model because I always had trouble lofting my long irons. That is no longer a problem! And the 2 iron is a great club...a nice bail-out club on those rounds where the driver let's you down! The 5 thru PW G2 clubs are just as reliable. The feel and look of all these clubs is solid. The hits hit crisp which gave me confidence and actually let's me swing easier. The distance is 10-15 yards longer than I had which I am still adjusting for...but I'm not complaining! My ball sails straight or with a slight draw and lofted nicely. It's nice to fix ball marks on the greens! I ordered the 2 iron because I always had problems hitting a fairway wood (I used to call my Adams Tight Lies club "the comedy club", everyone would laugh when I attempted to hit it!. I now have no qualms about hitting the 2 iron from the fairway. I have dropped from a low to mid-90's golfer into a low to mid-80's golfer in three weeks. One of those rounds was actually a 79! I have never hit a seventy-anything in my 20+ years of golf!!! So I am "transformed". My set cost about $800 with the 2-iron included, the best money I ever invested in golf. Now, my driver has suddenly stopped working...a problem? Sure...but until it comes back, I tee off with my new 2 iron. Ping G2 irons...buy a set...and find your G-spot!!! Hey Ping, I coined that phrase, go ahead and use it but I want the royalties!!!) ENJOY! They are PHENOMENAL! Customer Service No service needed yet.
