Dead easy to hit just shoot straight into the air makes the game dead easy. Even some pros i know use these so not just for high handicapers! I dont use them anymore but have a 3 + 4 iron in the high launch series. Why make things harder eh??

I sold my T.M. RAC OS irons and I just got my new set of Ping G2 (red dot) irons. I haven't got a chance to take them to a course yet, but I did go to the driving range about three times now... All I can say is WOW! I love em! Easy to Hit and the ball is alot Straighter! I know for sure I will score lower my best score of 107 with these clubs! Can't wait til I take these out to the course!

Wow, these are one of the best irons that money can buy. The Ping G2 Irons feel really good in your hand and hits about a club more than others. Its very easy to hit the ball off the ground. They hit long and straight. They also look great with a finish that makes the club look new all the time. Got them off ebay for a killer price

Traded in my ISI's for a 3HL,4HL, 5-PW, and the UW,SW and LW. Far more cosistent, especially if you tend to mis-hit the ball slightly. The 3/4 HL's are incredible... amazing height that drops in real soft. The wedges are better than any model I tried, because they do not dig into the turf. The LW at 58 degrees is my new secret weapon from 100 yards in, and around the green. Very simple to hit floppers to the pin... plus low biting shots. I bumped all of my irons up to D3 swingwight... this has added extra feel to the clubs. Shafts are ZZ65 stiff, red dot lie. You will not be dissapointed with these clubs.

Get fit at Ping, they are better than your average golf retailer.

I have just bought a set of ping g2 irons & have nothing but praise for them, I was previously using ping eye 2s & I thought nothing could out perform them !.I was wrong in a word these clubs are amazing , maybe half a club longer but deffinately straighter, the weight that is away from the club face I think has something to it I think!. I have the green dot 2# up & jz stiff shafts, Ibought them off ebay new for half the price they retail here, however beware what you buy if you dont know your specifications , I have been fitted before but if youre not sure get fitted because the correct lie angle and shaft flex is very important. I bought them without even demoing them mainly based on the reviews & because of the bargain price I paid for them I could sell them easy and get all my money back if I thought that they were no better than the eye 2s. So off to the range with my new toys & oh what a feeling !!,very solid,& very forgiving, not that hard to work the ball but these clubs want to go straight,I have the 3 & 4in hl & if you are like the rest of us mere mortals who struggle with the long irons then you will love the hl's, however I personally didnt notice the ball flight to be much higher , but what I did notice was they were VERY easy to hit & to align , the confidence that the wide sole gives is supreme,Ping have never been afraid to be inovative , you may either love it or hate it but if the cap fits wear it I say. Next stop the golf course, the only true test really, the reason why I like these clubs so much is the fact that I noticed a considerable difference to an already tried & trusted iron, & I wasnt really all that familliar with the g2's & also my iron play hadnt been to good of late, but I can honestly say they never let me down . I am currently playing off 11, but when I really get these dialled in I can't see how I wont be in single figures. theres no better feeling in golf than having confidence & hiiting greens to give yourself birdie oportunities, & with these irons & wedges you can do just that !, who said you can't buy a better game! I also bought 3 M. B .wedges.48 * 54*& 58* I couldnt be happier with them, once again very solid & forgiving, & distance, ball flight, and accuracy are in a word awesome, where they really shine though is around the green & shots off tight lies, confidence is everything in golf & I never thought I would say it but Ping have finnaly surpassed the eye 2. Well done Ping now all I need is the new G2 driver which I believe is also awesome. If you are in the market for a new set of irons do yourself a favour , demo the best iron out there the ping g2. Good luck.

Customer Service

Not used, but I believe Ping & callaway are the best.

These are a really forgiving club as they are obviously meant to be, and make the game fun to play again. I'm a 4 H/C but struggle to play very often so these really help. The first competetive round I played I hit 14 of 15 greens played. I also got the 52, 56 and 60 MB wedges which I'm still getting used to. My only complaint is that I wanted a high kick shaft as I hit the ball quite high and just to get a Rifle Lite (which work so well being 1" over standard) meant having to use the WRX division which was ridiculously expensive. It would have been cheaper to buy the standard shafts and take them to a club fitter to get them reshafted. Actually considering WRX are supposed to make tour pro's clubs I was a bit surprised at the finish, with some glue showing around the edge of the black insert on the wedges, and also the shaft labels were not put on straight. Not sure I'd pay the extra again, but I'm certainly very happy with the performance and don't see me changing for a long time.

Model Reviewed: Ping G2 3-5hl,6-pw

I started playing 18 mos ago after a 20 yr layoff. I owned a house that was on the 6th fairway, such was my earlier obsession. When I started back playing on my 58th birthday I got a Lynx starter set, very nice and I shot in the low 100s.As my game improved and my addiction returned I bought ,played and traded all the clubs listed below.Ridiculed by my playing partners as being on a quest for the Holy Grail (its the Indian not the arrows),I went to a Ping fitting in Dallas in March where the Pro put a cs lite steel shaft, black dot, Aqua grip 7 iron in my hand and I hit the best feeling, straight, soaring shot of my life. I told him,I'll take em. But he made me go through the rest of the fitting anyway and recommended 3-5hl and 6-pw. I took the order to Golfsmith that day and placed my order. After they arrived and I had been playing with them 2-3 times a week for two weeks my three partners took 5 strokes away from my handicap and blamed my increased accuracy with my irons.I am now shooting as often in the 80's as 90's but not often enough to claim consistant 80's but I have no intention of changing my irons. I have no more excuses.

Customer Service

I did change to graphite shafts to reduce sore elbows and Ping perfofmed beyond expections. Order out and back in 6 days and at a reasonable price. They called me the day they received my clubs, told me when they would go to production and when I would get them back. I've played three times with the new shafts and darn it, they are a little longer and the elbow pain is gone. Thank you Ping!

I have been playing Ping Zing2 irons for 10 years, and have loved them. I have been waiting to replace them for a couple of summers, and when the right Ping club for me that I felt was bette came out. The G2 irons fit that bill for me completely. I bought a set this summer, and immediately increased my distance by 10-15 yards per club, and my accuracy improved greatly as well. I switched from regular flex this time to stiff shaft because I have fast through the ball swing speed, and that too was a great improvement for me. I would highly recommend the G2 irons. I am having more fun with them this summer than I have had in a long time, and I have lowered my handicap in this year's league with them by 4 strokes..great move, at least try a demo before you purchase anything else.

Customer Service

Only used one time and they were top notch!

Ping has always been good to me though the years. I can't remember the last time the iron in my bag failed to have the Ping logo on them. However, I was not impressed with the Ping G2 irons. They felt lite, uncontrollable, and dead. I currently own the Ping i3+ blades and love them. Ping really floped with these irons. There previous modles were way ahead of their time.

Customer Service

I have delt with Ping numerous times through the years and they are always willing to go the extra step to help you. A+ Top Notch!

I've only been playing golf for less than a year and have been using a set of Ping Eye 2 which I've inherited from my brother. The Eye 2 is a nice set, straight and forgiving, but I just could not get any distance with it (140 yds with a 5-iron). I finally decided to upgrade and after demoing Callaway Big Bertha's and X-16 (kept hooking it) and Nike Slingshot (kept slicing it), I decided to stay with Ping and bought a set of G2's with 3HL and 4HL. What a difference! This set is easily one to two clubs longer than my old Eye2. Haven't gotten the hang of the 3HL yet but have used the 4HL quite a bit even as a driving iron. Long, straight and forgiving. The short irons and wedge are a joy to chip.

Customer Service

Haven't used it yet.
