G-10
I happened to be at major golf demo, which had the major manufacturers there. I was not in the market for new irons. I tried the G-10's just for fun and I was immediately impressed. Right from the start I hit nothing but good shots. This was a good sign. I went to another demo and had the same results. So I had a fitting and ordered a set with the Blue Dot and 1/2 inch long.
Customer Service The clubs arrived in one week after the fitting. Similar Products Used: Mizuno, Cobra, Titleist |

Ping G-10 Irons
Got the itch to buy something new since I have had my Ping i-3 O-size for 10 years (although I really love the i-3's). Went to best fitting center in the State. They test every manufacturer and model of clubs with all shaft variations on a swing robot in an outdoor setting and compile all the data. They carry almost literally every brand and model, and have demos available for all models (it is a golfer's paradise!) let you hit everything in their huge outdoor driving range. For a fee they doppler radar and laser track all of your data, and match you up to the best clubs for your swing after comparing your swing data to the data for each club obtained from the robot tester. They present you with a list of clubs that best suit your swing. I must admit that I am a Ping loyalist and I wanted to buy the Ping Rapture or G10. Fortunately, the G10 fit my swing profile, although I did hit others. The Ping Rapture head felt buttery smooth and I very slightly preferred the feel to the G10 (I preferred the G10 and Rapture to any other clubs I hit, but there were some that were close- Cleveland, TM, Mizuno), however, I hit the ball high naturally with good distance, and even though the specs (loft, club size, offset) are almost identical between the G10 and Rapture, the Rapture hits alot higher than the Rapture. My spin rate with the Rapture was in the mid 8000's, and with the G10, it was in the high 5000's. I really ballooned the Rapture, so the G10 was the no-brainer pick. I would never have suspected how different these irons hit by just looking at the data on the Ping website or looking at them in the store, but the numbers don't lie. If you need help getting the ball in the air, the Rapture is for you, if you are like me and hit it high naturally, then the G10 is much better. I splurged and upgraded to the True Temper Tour Concept shaft (through Ping's WRX department), S3 stiff flex, and that shaft is beyond amazing, just love the smooth feel of it and more lively than other shafts (although True Temper Black Golds were extremely close, but they were not available from Ping WRX anyway). Well worth the steep price increase over the stock shafts. It is also important to get a shaft weight that works for your swing. The Ping AWT shaft is very light, and for a handsy swing like mine (I release my hands very late in the downswing) and a faster swing, you really need a heavier shaft and the TT Tour Concepts, at 126 grams were perfect, and I absolutely liked the Tour Concepts better than the stock Z-Z65 shaft- but I should for that much more money, although the Z-Z65 is great for a stock shaft and better weight for me than the AWT. AWT is way too light for me and for my swing I needed the weight to feel the club and help me know when to release my hands. Not to say the Ping AWT are bad shafts. I am sure they are great quality or Ping would not use them, you just need to get the correct shaft weight for your swing. Also, Ping WRX Dept installed Winn mid-size grips which I like way better than Ping's stock offerings, but that is just a matter of personal preference. Could not be happier. I was ready to purchase another brand if the fitter said another model fit me better, but I am glad to be staying with Ping. Another interesting point, my i-3's were maroon dot (most upright lie available from Ping), but apparently my stance changed over the last 10 years and the G-10's are black dot (standard lie), which solved my occassional hits to the left that I experienced from time to time with my old Ping i-3's. Custom fitting is a great thing, isn't it? Customer Service Very polite, great service. The best. Similar Products Used: Callaway, TM, Cleveland, Mizuno |

Ping G10 irons
I am an average weekend golfer shooting in the mid 90's looking to upgrade my Wilson Fatshaft irons. I demo'd a couple of different sets including Ping G10, Callaway X20's and Mizuno mx25's all stiff shaft steel. While I found all of these clubs were a huge improvement over the Wilson clubs. The Ping G10's were the most comfortable. If you are in the market to upgrade, first go to the nearest golf store and find out what your swing speed is. This will tell you what flex to get. I suggest anyone looking to upgrade to try these all these clubs and find what fits you the best... Customer Service Nearest golf store will help.. I don't play every week anymore, so wanted more forgiveness than I3 Blade. These G10s are the answer. Ping WRX installed DG SL300 shafts with Winn grips. Sweet! I added the iWedges (50,54,58) with bounce grind...playable from all sorts of lies. Ping still #1 in my book. Customer Service Never need it. Similar Products Used: I3 Blades, Cobra SSI |

After playing these irons a month, I reached my level of comfort, and my scores quickly improved. In two and 1/2 months my handicap has gone from 14 to 11, and I'm trending to 9. I had my lowest score on the course I play (74) repeated it a few weeks later, and today shot 73, tieing my lowest score ever. I hesitated about buying game improvement irons, but I shouldn't have. Anyone can play better with these irons. Customer Service Not necessary yet Similar Products Used: Mizunos |

Ping G10 21* Hybrid
Where have I been all these years? I have been trying to hit a 3 iron or 7 wood into greens when I was in the 200 to 230 yard range (no man's land for me) with very little success. I recently caved in and bought this hybrid, not realizing how easy it was to hit. I can choke down and hit a 190 yard shot or let the shaft out and hit a 230 yarder. This has been the most significant change in my game to date. I no longer fear no-man's land. I had a tendency to put a pull hook on my 3 iron and would float the 7 wood where-ever it wanted to go. With the G10 hybrid, I can hit it high, low, left to right or right to left, whatever the shot calls for. I'm very happy with this club and only left to wonder what took me so long to try a hybrid. I love Pings and this was a great club investment for me. I was able to remove my 3 iron and my 7 wood from the bag and add this hybrid and an I5 Lob wedge.
Customer Service I have utilized Ping's Customer Service many times and truly believe they have my best interests in mind. Similar Products Used: Nothing comes close. 7 Wood and 3 iron were as close as I could get. |

Ping G10 & I10
I am, without question, an equipment junkie. I've tried them all; mizuno, callaway, adams, taylormade, etc. Without question the Ping I-10 are the most complete irons I've played. I ordered the W-5 iron in the I-10 and 3& 4 irons in the G-10. Is this club as pure and workable as a Mizuno Forged...no, but close and much more forgiving; as forgiving as a Callaway X-20....yes, and much more workable. This iron in no way limits my game. By having the 3 & 4 iron in the G-10 I'm able to long irons without worry. Let's face it, how often do I need to "work" a 3 iron.......practically never. But with the G-10 3 iron I can be confident from 205-215! The AWT shafts are similar to the rifle flighted. Mid irons are neatly workable and easy to hit. Short irons are pin seekers. Hit this club, it's AWESOME BABY WITH A CAPITAL "A".
Customer Service Pings Custome Service is second to none Similar Products Used: Adams Pro Forged, Taylor T/P, Callway X-20, X-20 Pro, Mizuno 33, 32, 57. |

Ping G10 Irons
I just started playing golf a couple of months ago and decided I enjoyed it enough to get fitted for some new clubs. Purchased red dot G10s and they are awesome. Very forgiving, better distance than other clubs tested and sure to improve my game. Even my mis-hits flew straight.

Ping I-10 Iron
The I-10 is the perfect set of irons for me. I played my 24th round with them yesterday and the change in my iron game is dramatic. My ball flight has gone from too high to a much lower and penatrating ball flight. The result is also 15 to 20 yards more on each club. The additional distance is not because these are magic clubs but a combination of a well made club, being fitted for the first time (black dot with + 3/4" shaft length), and the stiff AWT ping shafts.

Had my G2 10.5 degree for about 3 years and I play to 11 (with a fade - slice). Tried the 10.5 degree draw hoping to correct the left to right and did not strike the ball well at all. Tried the 12 degree with no offset and the regular ping shaft - success, it goes straight. I hit as far and some more with the G10 and even into a strong headwind there is no sign of a slice. What a fantastic club, great feel, great noise and great results. Just booked a day off work because I can't wait untill Saturday before playing again.
