These irons are awesome. They have incredible feedback and are easy to control with pinpoint accuracy. They look good also and feel awesome when u hit the sweetspot. A must buy.

Friends rave about these clubs, but I don't like them. Maybe it's the non-traditional shape I'm looking at when addressing the ball that affects concentration. When I got to the spatula shaped wedge I barely got the club on the ball. Probably very forgiving but virually no feel.

I have played these irons for 5 years now. I think they are the standard by which irons should be rated. The Eye 2s have good feel and are pretty forgiving on off-center shots. I have only re-gripped them in five years and they are like new, very durable.

My Eye2 BeCu irons are CLASSIC! After 14 years, they're STILL THE ONE! I recently re-shafted them with Rifles and they are even better than before. Played with DCI's and Bertha irons for a while, but the Ping Coppers still feel the best. If I switched, it would be to the new I3's, but for now I'm delighted. Love the comments I get regarding the dark copper heads. A teaching pro recently asked to buy my L wedge with its square grooves. NO WAY!!!

As the reviewer below me noted, the Eye 2's are very head light, but are exceptional clubs. Best clubs I have hit to date and I have hit most of them. Very confidence inspiring.

I had my Eye 2's w/ zz lites checked on the swingweight meter because I just couldn't explain why the long irons felt so light. The swingweight was C-5. Way to light. I reshafted with Dynamic Gold s400 and 1/2 longer and the club is now D-1. This iron is even better than it was before. Hard to believe. Long irons are much more workable and longer as well. I am a half club longer now with these shafts.

If you are having problems with the head feeling in your clubs go get them swingweighted. You might be surprised.

Model Reviewed: Eye2+ steel w/ True Temper ZZ Lite shafts

The shafts feel really nice and soft, but as some people were saying, there's not much feel in the club head. i3's feel really crisp on impact, but then they were w/ graphite shafts, so it's an unfair comparison. Overall the Eye2+ is quite forgiving and hits straight although distance isn't quite as far as the i3.

Bought a set of used Eye2s this week as my first set of clubs, and right away I noticed an incredible difference over the rental clubs (Mitsushiba's) at the course where I am taking lessons. What really amazed me was that two people offered to buy them from me inmy first hour on the driving range with them.

As a total beginner, I also found that I was able to successfully hit the ball (and hit it far and straight) much more often than I thought possible.

I don't know how old these are (no +, but extremely clean), but I definitly go tmy money's worth.

I don't think I'll be buying new ones anytime soon, unless adding a 2 iron counts.

In my opinion, the best cavity back club head (cast or forged, from toe to heel and top line to sole) ever made.
I've owned them all and the Ping Eye 2 is in my mind the best of all time. Hence their continued popularity after all these years. The Ping Eye 2 design is simple and no non-sense. A design that just plain works. If it wasn't, then why did so many pros use these and some still do today. No, you can't work them as well as a blade. They were designed to hit the ball straight. However, with a little effort, they can be worked into a draw or fade. About feel? No, they don't feel as good as a forged blade. But, when you look up to see the ball going straight for the target that you chose. Well, there's no better feeling than that!

Customer Service

I live in the Phoenix area. So customer service is a given. I've always had a pleasant experience dealing with the Ping folks.

I've played so many different irons - Titleist, Tommy Armour, Maxfli, Wilson, Mizuno - and demoed many more. But I always seem to come back to the Eye 2s. My first set of clubs was a stainless set, I used them for a few months then started experimenting - a year later I was back to them but traded again. Finally, with the copper set I'm currently playing (going on 2 years now) I know it's true love. These won't leave my bag til I wear them out.

Customer Service

I've sent bags back to Ping to be repaired and irons to be reshafted - always done quickly without question or charge.

Well I think I've come full circle now. I have played Ping on and off for almost 23 years now. I played Ping exclusively from 1977 to 1995 when I suddenly decided I needed to experiment. I tried several Taylor Made's, Cleveland's, Hogan's. Each had their strengths and weaknesses. I guess what it came down to was that I had my game geared towards the Eye 2's. The only club I found remotely similar was the original Tommy Armour 845's. Perhaps I am biased, but I always feel comfortable with each iron shot. No more trades.

Customer Service

Very courteous and helpful. Nothing negative ever.
