Ping Eye 2 Irons

DESCRIPTION

Wildly Popular since their mid 80's inception, the Ping Eye2 Irons are the original, and still one of the best cast, perimeter weighted cavity back irons on the market.

I am one of those people who believed the equipment made the difference and constantly searched and changed to different clubs. I decided to go back to these clubs because of their reputation and many of the very good golfers I know still play these clubs. I love the weighting and feel. Last week, I missed making my first hole in one by 2 inches on a 176 yd par 3 with these clubs. I have only played with them twice. They''re awesome!

Purchased used at $28 per club, regripped with OEM Ping grips, and these irons have the playability of any tour iron available today. If someone is critical of these irons for not being long, being too heavy, etc, they are fooled themselves. I have dropped 5-10 strokes this summer with these clubs alone. I was a consistent low 90''s and actually finished the year with a 10 handicap. They are forgiving, accurate, and rock solid. If you can find a used set, buy them, clean them up, regrip''em, and begin playing the best golf you''re capable of!!!

Ping is above all, accessible, and committed to the consumer, every club ever sold has an ID, what more do you have to say.

Best iron even made. It has the same workability (ie. fade, draw, high and low) as my other forged club but a lot more forgiving. A model that is still in production after 20 years (compare with other iron which become history after 1 or 2 years).

I love these irons because they are really long and provide spin and distance. I have had them for 4 years and I have tried almost everything else but nothing compares to these classics.

After starting out with a set of blades, I couldn't believe how much going to a cavity back club would help my game. After playing cavity back clubs for a while, I decided that is what I needed. The eye 2's are the best feeling clubs I have ever swung. They have dramatically helped my game.

Classic, still great club. Re-shafted with Rifle 5.5 shafts, play even better than the original - much more consistent, easier on the hands.

First off let me mention I'm a Lefty and it is very difficult to find a really good set of left-handed clubs where I live. Until the internet came along :) found a set of used Ping Eye 2+'s at www.thegolfexchange.com (GREAT SITE) These Irons are fantastic, I have dropped six strokes from my scores vs. a year ago. I think Bob hit the nail on the head when he mentioned how these clubs give feedback. You don't really feel a great shot, but the more off-center the shot is the more feedback you get from the club. It actually helps to teach you to hit more accurate shots, wonderfull!!

it's funny, Ive had the eye2's since high school. I have owned an obscene amount of irons---dci, mizuno, callaway, and yes, a brand new set of i-3 blades. The eye 2's always end up in my bag. The i-3's come close to the performance of the eye 2's. But, the eye 2 long irons are much eaiser to hit. DON'T WASTE YOUR $$$. You can purchase a used set of eye 2's for less than $300 and you WILL play better. Get fitted, get real and make birdies! I swear these irons are the real thing. Check out the bags at a PGA tour event, you would not believe the number of eye 2 iron sets you see.
