Nike Slingshot Irons

DESCRIPTION

Nike Slingshot Individual Iron with Graphite Shaft The Nike Slingshot Individual Iron with Graphite Shaft delivers forgiveness. Forgiveness begins in irone with weight management. Moving weight deeper and lower results in a larger sweet spot and a deeper center of gravity that actually exists in air behind the face. The benefit is a mixed set of hybrids and irons that are more forgiving and launch the ball higher. There are 30 grams of Nike PowerBow weighted low and back with a deeper sole that

After reading all the reviews, I had wanted to buy these irons. But I had already gotten the CPR Ironwoods and did not need the long irons so I wrote an email to nike asking for a 5-pw set with the Slingshots as I did not like the CPR irons. A few weeks later the %-PW were on the TGW site so I must not have been the only one, and I got 10% off thier spring sale. I took these irons to the range and hammered seven iron after seven iron right down the middle. The middle of the face feels like the ball springs off of it like a driver. This feel is takes a little to get used to. I took these to TPC Heron Bay and had a great day, these clubs come out of the fairway sand great, nice flight on the ball. The distance is the same as my Razor 2000's but with better right to left. I odered the R flex with mid kick to help keep the ball down a little. Chipping around the green and knock down shots take pactise, so do this on the range so you get the feel for it. The flight does get up there and on windy days I just take more club and it seems to work out, Our greens are so small here in Key West that to much knock down just runs over the green. If your HC is in the 20's these are the clubs for you. I really think the price is about $100 too much, but you only live and play golf once. I have all Nike now but the Driver after all why would I pay $400 for a driver Tiger can't hit in the fairway!

Customer Service

I never had any problems with TGW, and no reason to return any Nike product

I was not in the market for new irons but I won a gift card in a tournament so I decided to check out the new Nike irons. I previously played with Celveland TA5's which I was very happy with, but all that changed once I hit the slingshots. I could not believe how easy they were to hit. Even shots that were hit thin, fat, off the toe, still went a pretty good distance. Now the only drawback is not being able to work the ball as much as cavity backs or blades. But to tell you the truth I haven't needed to work the ball much since I hit them so straight. I have shaved about 2-3 strokes off my game due to my pin point accuracy. I don't miss my clevelands at all. The ball trajectory is a bit on the high side, so if you play in windy conditions often you had better practice your knockdown shot. Overall they are great clubs. One of my co-workers hit my irons and went out and bought a set too.

I tested and tested this club against Callaway X-16 and Big Bertha. this club is just really fun. The lines are clean and I hit it further and more consistently than all other brands. the nice thing about these is that you get your approach shots so far up in the air that even if you play a low spin distance ball, you are going to stick it in there and hold the green no problem. This club is for all levels of golfer. A couple club pros here in Orlando play this club. GREAT product. The long irons are very nice and a breeze to hit most of the time. My advice would be to get the PW and the AW. The AW is great from 100 yds in.

Picked them up online at ebay, good deal and they have the x-stiff shafts, Hit pretty well, but i didnt like that i could not control them as well as the mizuno's i had been playing with, They hit stright pretty well and i recommend them for starters or people trying to improve there game. In the end i went back to my mizuno mp-30 clubs and pick up the sling shots every once in a while.

Nike Slingshots were not my 1st choice. I tested all of the 'players models' forged and cavity back. I thought the Slingshots were just for novice players and much too my surpise they are great for any level of golfer. Why work harder at this game than necessary? I like the look and the ball flight, much higher than my x-14s. Mis-hits still make it to the green and you really need to make a bad swing to hit this club fat! The ball flies straight and to the target. I just need to work on distance control, these clubs seem to fly a little farther than my x-14's. So what do I dislike - the stock grips are not to my liking. I will be installing Lambkin Tour Wrap this week.

Here in Ohio we have a large indoor dome driving range where also a Golfworks is located. I spent all winter reading these reviews and going to Golfworks trying new irons. At the end of the season last year I decided to switch to a more forgiving iron. I am in my late 20's now and I have played golf since I was 10. By the age of 15 I started playing with Titleist Forged blades and played them all through High School and all the way up until I was 25. Last year I switched to the Nike Blades to only find that I was way shorter with every club. But I loved the way they felt so I tried adjusting the lofts to make them stronger which then starts playing with the bounce angles which didn't work very well. Last year I found that I am getting older and I am loosing my flexibility and my game isn't as good as it was years ago. So I made the decision to shop around. When I start looking I completely shut out the idea of owning the Nike Slingshots because I got the impression that they was for complete beginners. So instead I started hitting the Cleveland TA7 Tours and the X-16 Pro and the TM RAC LT and Ping S59 irons. I couldn't find the feel that I was looking for. So one day while at the dome the local Golfworks rep handed me a Slingshot to hit. From the very first hit I fell in love with them. I hit every iron in the bag and said these are the clubs for me. Well after playing about 5 rounds with them I still feel the same way about the clubs. The feel of these clubs are something to desire. They make the game fun again for me because I don't have to rely on the perfect swing every time but if I need to work it I can a little bit. I do have only one problem with them though. On your downswing you will hear the air whistle in the hollow part of the club. I never cared for a lot of offset in a iron. But the way Tom changes the offset from the long to short irons is great. So in closing I do recommend these clubs for all levels of players. You owe it to yourself to try them.

Well, I hear alot of Reviews and this is only my opinion, But i think that Nike has created the best overall Irons. I have played with many irons and tried different ones, but they dont give me the feel and forgiveness that i like. The reason why the are this way is beacuse of the back weight that changes with the degree of the iron which gives the shot a nice mix of power and loft. Also the deep cavity makes the clubs easy to hit. Also they are the CHEAPEST NIKE IRONS, AND EASILY THE BEST.
