I've tried these irons before a round 2 weeks ago and fell in love. I gave up a new set of Titelist 762's to play these. The short-irons are absolutely the best I've played since I retired my blades. Shot control is marvelous. The mid-irons are forgiving enough and have great workability. The long irons are forgiving for the occasional mis-hit and have a great trajectory. These are the best irons I've ever hit! I've played two rounds with them now and have easily taken 4 to 5 strokes off my game. We all strive to improve our game and this in one of the few times I can say equipment makes a differente. |

These new irons are excellent. They offer a nice level of forgivness throughout the set. The 3 and 4 iron set up nice at address, and offer a lot of forgiveness, althoug it was kind of hard to work the long irons. But they did have a boring trajectory, which is important. The 5 -7 irons are great, it was very easy to control. They also offer enough forgiveness for the occasional mis hit. The short irons prevent ballooning very well, and it is a lot easier to control the trajectory, unlike the cavity backs I previuosly owned. They also are much much better than the Tommy Armour evos that my friend Bryce plays. I tell him to switch to pro combos, but he just doesn't want to listen. I definitely reccommend these irons Similar Products Used: Big Bertha irons, Taylor made 300 |

I shopped for 1.5 months for a new set. I upgraded from old Taylor Made Burner irons that I sold to a friend just starting the game and wanted a decent set of used clubs. I tried all the "new" clubs from the named companies (Nike, Ping, Callaway, Cleveland, Taylor Made, etc). Narrowed my choice down to the Nike's and the Ping I3+. Distance was equal with both sets. The Nike's had a better look to me with the thinner top line and is not offset...a much more traditional look. The Pro Combos had a better feel and workability than the Ping's, and also had more forgiveness on miss-hits. These are the perfect clubs for me. Only word of advise is to take your time, get fitted for the right set for you and hit them all on a range before choosing a set. Customer Service Haven't tried them yet. |

I wanted an upgrade from my CXI. The combo idea from Maxfli and Nike made sense to me and I bought the pro combos. These clubs feel really great, even on occasional miss hits. They are very accurate and fairly forgiving. Based on some of the previous reviews I was a bit worried about their consistency in distance. After playing four rounds I’m absolutely satisfied. I’m not a big hitter but I shoot consistently P – 110, 9- 125, 7-150, 5 175 and 3 –200+ with little variances. In my opinion these are nice, great looking clubs, no marks after playing the rounds - just contrary to what Hary said. Hary, I will give you 5 bucks so that you can buy some decent club. I have to make my next decision about the gap wedge. I’m absolutely happy with my Cleveland 900 lob and sand wedges but Nike can clearly make good clubs …. |

This is my third set of irons, I started with the real cheap ones from Wallmart that came with the putter and a bag, I bought a new set within a week, DS-9 irons, a set of Callway Steelhead Plus woods, a Hawkeye Driver, and White hot putter, over 2 years it improved my 165 down to mid 80's, but as one turns into a serious golfer, its time to give up my mediocre irons and get the real stuff, and Nike Pro Combo it is. I tried the new Big Bertha first with graphite shaft, very long, 3 iron over 200 yards a few times, and forgiving, even missed shots were not so bad you can't tell if you are hitting it right or not, as promised of by Callway of course. Unfortunately, they are really ugly. You can shape shots, but with some effort but it can be done. Then I tried the X-14, I hate the offset, can't hit the ball right with this club, the X-14 Pro series was much better, longer than Big Bertha, more accurate than Big Bertha and they look much better, but the new X-16 are coming out in a month or so and I can't wait to get a new set. Finally, I tried the Nike Pro Combo, saw them and they look really good. I like the Steel shaft, light and you can tell which part of the clubhead hit the ball right away. very easy to shape shots right or left even with the medium irons. The wedges are very accurate, and very precise, each iron will give the same distance to about 2-3 yards everytime, it gives a high trajectory that the ball sits even without much spin, tru even for the muscle back irons. The cavity backs are very easy to hit and forgiving, they are also long, but not as long as the Callaways, I can barely hit 200 yards with the 3 iron. The medium irons are a little disappointing, not much distance and accuracy, 5 iron to about 155-165, 5-10 yards left or right, the 7 iron about 135-145, but as precise as the wedges, the sweet spot is a little higher than my old clubs or with the Callways. Overall, I picked the right set of irons for my game. I think the Nike Pro Combo is not as long as the Callways, or even my old DS-9 irons but getting the ball up high and precision makes up for most of the loss in distance. At present I am getting the X-16 pro series 2 iron for the over 200 par 3's that I can't reach with my nike irons. Now it's time to break 80. Customer Service Asked if they can help me find a place to try the Irons before buying them, but demos will not be available till spring, at least I got to speak with a real person in less than 2 minutes Similar Products Used: X-14, X-14 Pro Series, New Callaway Big Bertha Irons, Alien DS-9, Tommy Armour 845's, X-12 |

Nike Forged Pro Combo irons
These irons have a solid feel, but are not forgiving! The long irons do perform well, but the mid and short irons are very inconsistant in distance. I played with Goldwin AVDP's for about 6 years and averaged 150 yrds with an 8 iron. So far, I hit the Nike 8 iron between 120 and 135.....the seven iron about 135 - 145 and so on. However, I hit the 3 iron 200+, and the 4 iron 190....the same as my old set. Basically, unless you can pure every shot you hit with your irons....don't buy these. |

ever since nike introduced the pro combo irons i was curious to find out what all the hype was about. the concept of a mixed set made sense to me but the idea of nike making golf equipment didn't. sure tiger plays the nike blades, so what. he's tiger, i'm not. i've been playing golf for only 3 years but even i know that you have to be pretty good to hit blades. that all change when i stopped by the local golf store and demo'd the pro combos. one word, WOW! the pro combos truly offer the best in feel and playability. i admit, i don't know much about feel or playability since it's all up to the individual. what i do know is that my accuracy and ball striking has improved dramatically. i'm now able to 'feel' a good shot as opposed to a bad one. i'm also able to 'work' the ball - something i never thought i could do. the speed step lightweight shaft is awesome and the nike grips are just soft enough. the cavity-back long irons are effortless to hit. great distance. the mid irons offer forgiveness with more control and the blade short irons are like hitting your favorite wedge without the ballooning effect most cavity-back iron sets create in thier short irons. do yourself a favor, try these irons before you buy anything else, you won't regret it. however, if you are not in the market for new irons, don't hit these irons because you'll fall in love with them as soon as you hit them. they are that good. I found the Nike Pro Combo's to be a very good Iron for the serious player. Ranging from cavity backs in the long irons, to stricked blades in the short irns, and a combination of both in the mid irons, these clubs provide good feedback. They provide forgiveness in the long irons, and promote consistency and accuracy in the short irons. Ii am a 2 handicapper who was looking to really bring my game to a new level. The Nike Pro Combos have done that for me. Similar Products Used: Titleist 762, Callaway X 14 Pro series, Taylormade 300 series. |

Im 15 years old and currently play for my schools varsity golf team. I recently played the Callaway X-14's and saw these new Nike irons and thought i'd give them a shot. Butter!!! Thats exactly what they feel like and they are very forgiving. There by far the best irons out now. After I got them, I went out and practiced with them one day and won a junior skills competion in Pittsburgh a few days later. They are that good. This is a great club with a very soft feel. I have probably tried every (Big name)irons set there are on the market right. And I must say that these are a very good club. They are not as forgiving like the X-14 or Taylor Mades RAC. But if you are a little above average golfer you must try these. They are as close as being a blade as you can come with out buying one. So if you are a golfer that is wondering, if you next time buying a iron set, can buy some baldes. Before you du try these first!! They are as soft as a blade but much esier to hit...so why make the game harder than it is. I think I aslo is minority since I kind of like the shafts on these clubs. I have read alot of forums and read alot of tests about these clubs and alot of people doesnt like the shaft but I do.... so I guess this is a personal matter. But if I was golfer that is on my way to buy some new irons I would very much recomend the Comp Pro Irons Similar Products Used: Callaway X-14,Callaway X-14 Pro, Maxfli A-10, Mizuno MP 33, Mizuno MP30, Mizuno MX-20, Tayor Made 300, Titleist 690 CB and Titleist 690 MB Forged, Nike Forged, Hogan Apex Edge Pro and Apex Forged |
