The first time I reviewed these, I believe my excitement got the best of me. I'm writing again after playing them ten more rounds. First of all, I've lost ten yards of distance on each club which is starting to bother me. Second, these are like 3 sets of clubs, and I'm only now feeling like I'm used to them....like their my clubs. They take longer to get used to because of the 3 types of designs. Also, beware, the yardage isn't ten yards between the clubs.....the "blades" hit a little farther, so there is a 5 yard gap ....this of course will vary with each player. They're a fine set of clubs, but now that the infatuation has worn off, I think I may go back to my firesoles for awhile. Overall very poor and inconsistent. Sometimes they would go my normal distance and sometimes they wouldnt. These are nothing compared with the Titleist 690cb or Mizuno mx20 or even the Ping Eye2s which I have had for awhile. Nike can't even top 15 year old irons ping makes! Good looking design really helping me in building confidence. The swing weight (D-0)however is slightly too heavy for asian golfer. 4,5,6 iron are really user friendly compared to other american irins set. |

Best clubs ive ever owned. Never have i hit anything that feels so solid and pure. Hit the sweetspot and you know you hit the ball, but at the same time it feels just like swinging through the air. I used to have callaway BB's and those felt like you just took a practice swing as well, but with the nikes its just a different feel somehow, but still like butter. You've got to try them to belive it. And its just not cuz they are forged i dont think either, maybe that plus the alloy shaft and clubhead design but man, no graphite shaft ive hit ever has even gotten that kinda feel. Also the accuracry of this set is amazing, every shot is within a yard or two of the rest distance wise if i put a halfway decent swing on them. My callaways would sometimes be like 10-15 yards variance for some reason. Long irons are nice and forgiving with a boring flight while the short muscle back irons really get the ball up high and sit it down soft. Nike says they are supposed to have higher COF to lower ball flight but i get a nice lofting shot with them which i love since it sits right down soft on any type of green. DIrectional control with these irons is really impressive as well, with the short irons the ball goes pretty much whereever you want it to within about 5 yards right or left and thats just with my swing. These has to be one of the nicest looking sets around to top it all off. The mirror like chrome and soft satin brushed finish just looks great and the smaller topline and less offset really makes the callaways i had look awful. I never used to understand what people said when they said callways are shovels, but they really are big and clunky, plus heavy, my bag is alot lighter with the nikes. One thing i did notice about them when trying alot of different clubs is that they do seem to require a bit of a more proper "hoganese" swing. My callaways became harder to hit the more lessons i took to prefect my swing. I guess its due to the center of gravity on the clubs but they really hit nicer with a more wide arc to your swing and also you really smooth tempo, at least with the speedstep shafts. Im really going to have to look into the nike wedges now as nike can make a great club. OF course avoid that horrid driver they have still though Customer Service have not deal with them Similar Products Used: clevelands ta7's, callaway x14 and BB's |

WOW! Is all I have to say! These irons feel good and hit good. Very high trajectory with the 5-7 irons. I feel I have lost some distance, but make it up with the accuracy. You have to try these irons. They are good for any level of player.. Similar Products Used: Taylor made 200 supersteel. |

These are the best clubs i have personally ever hit. They have extraordinary feel, and feel totally right. Anyone who is fearful of these sticks because they somewhat resemble a blade shouldn't be cautious because these clubs are for anyone. I am a 16-year old high school golfer who doesnt hit the ball far at all, and i also don't take alot of divots. These are two features that scared me to try blades, basically because while im a decent ball striker, im not a GOOD ball striker. I was also worried that i wouldnt be able to get these clubs off the ground, but i couldn't believe the trajectory i got! i was hitting my 7-iron much higher than i was hitting my 9-iron or pitching wedge with my old set. Overall, this is a great club! Customer Service Next time you are going to buy a golf club, i am serious...check out dimmockhill.com first. Ask for their email golf list -- the prices are unreal. The Nike Pro-Combo's in particular are extremely cheap. They sell for 799$ at Dick's and most other golf shops...at dimmockhill.com they sell for only 640$. The Taylor Made RAC's sell for 499$ (200$ off) -- just check it out! |

These are absolutely beautiful irons. I haven't had them long enough to get totally used to them but I already love them. I had the Tommy Armour EVO V-31 irons and the Nike irons feel much better. I am a few yards longer with them also. I'm sure I'll only get better the more I use them. Off center hits are much more accurate than with my EVOs. The Nike Pro Combos are a little heavier than the EVOs but have a much better "quality" feel. Bad hits with the EVOs would give bad feedback and bad accuracy. This is not the case with the Nike irons. I loved my EVOs but I have to say the Nike Pro Combos are in a class by themselves. I am very happy with my purchase. First off, I have to say that the Taylormade R500 series wooods are the best woods iv'e ever played golf with. Now to my Irons. Nike Pro Combo's... That says it all. For one, Nike spends alot of time on and puttin into their products. Heck, Tiger Plays them and He's #1 in the world. So I decided to try them and fell in love with them. They were a little costly for a 15 year old but they dropped my average score down 3 strokes. They are also the lightest irons ive ever swung. If u like heavy feeling irons, I dont reconmend these. These irons are nice and I got everythin I expected from Nike after playine them. Customer Service ?? Never Used it ?? When I start looking for my new iron (I used my old MARUMAN iron for 14 years!!) I narrow down my search to Taylor Made RAC, Mizuno MP 20, and Cleaveland TA7. I don't even consider ProCombo because the price (over at $1000 for the american model and $1200 for the Japan model here in Indonesia). I have been reading all the review, and try to swing each club at the store at least 3 days in a row. Finally yesterday I went to the store and find a 'used' japan version of ProCombo for $650 (The difference between the american vs the japan version is the shaft). The guy who bought it only used it for 1 month and sell it back to the store. So I try the club and decide to buy it. I went to the driving range this evening and find this club very nice. I really hope this club can improve my game. |
