I can honestly say that I am a club junky. I have had almost every club made. I am a high 70's, low 80's player. I tried the pro combos last week and was amazed. I found them to be dead on accurate and they feel like butter. After 6 rounds I still feel the same and my scores are improving with every round. You owe it to yourself to hit these irons. I love these clubs. When I first got them, I struggled with them because the heads are somewhat smaller than the Callaway Tungsten Titanium I've played for few years. The thing I really like the most about the clubs is how well the ball is framed. When I line up for the shot, I feel confident that I have the correct alignment. I have been able to hit fades and draws with them and absolutely love the feeling of these forged clubs when I strike it perfectly. My tendency has been to hit a slightly bigger fade when I mis-hit the ball, particularly on long irons, but still get the expected distance out of the shot. I tested several other clubs prior to buying the Nikes and the other finalists were the Cleveland TA7 and Cleveland TA7 Tour. All these sets are fine clubs but I felt the Nikes had better feel and they certainly are some of the most beautiful clubs on the market. I don't think I'd have gone wrong with either Cleveland set, but I know I made the right decision for me by going with the Nike Pro Combo. Customer Service Not used. I steped into these clubs with regular nike steel shafts, after using Taylor Made LCG with Bubble shafts. These are a huge leap in playablity. I liked the looks from the start but I really like the idea of the long irons being full cavity, and the 5,6,7 are atleast 10 yards farther than I was hitting the LCG's. I was worried about the 8 and 9 giving me trouble, but the 8 is my new favorite. I have played about 15 rounds with them now and the finish is holding up great, I thought the bottoms might scatch, but that is not the case. I highly recommend them. Customer Service Very quick if you go through your dealer. Similar Products Used: Mizuno MP-30, Titleist 762, Hogan Apex Edge Pro |

Nike Pro Combo with TT Dynamic Gold Shafts
I have now taken these clubs out on the course 6 times. I have to say that I am very impressed by the Pro Combos. I have played Ping Eye2 irons since 1991. I tested dozens of sets and it came down to the Mizunos or the Nikes. I picked the Nike's because I found them slightly more forgiving than the Mizuno blades. I would like to warn everyone, however, that this club is not built for high-handicap golfers. If you mis-hit a shot, you will lose considerable distance. Nike seems to be targeting these clubs at all golfers, but it is really a player's club. Do not expect these clubs to offer the forgiveness of the Ping or Callaway irons. In every set of irons I tested, the level of feel is indirectly proportional to the level of forgiveness. What these clubs offer in return are a solid feel and unusual accuracy. I find that the distances are about the same as my Ping's. However they are slightly shorter than my father's lower-lofted Callaway x-14's. Nike is also now offering custom fitting options on the Pro Combos. I had 1/2 inch added to the length and 2 degrees added to the lie angle (I'm 6' 3"). I also ordered the True Temper Dynamic Gold shaft in place of the Nike stock shaft. I found that it worked better with my relatively fast swing speed. Customer Service Turn around time is rather slow for custom specs, but worth the wait. Similar Products Used: Ping Eye 2 irons |

This is a follow up review to one that I posted a couple weeks ago. These clubs seduced me by their good looks and now I have realized these clubs are not really great.I pulled a 7 iron out the last time I played from a spot on the course that I always use a 7.No wind or nothing,I struck the ball crisp and was 10 yards short.I dropped another ball and same results.I have gone back to my Callaway X-12 Pro Series which is one of the longest hitting irons I have found to date and also very forgiving.I would reccommend looking towards something else. |

nike irons pro combo
After playing for some times, I find out that the short irons (P, 9 and the 8) work very good. Easy to control the distance and aiming. Long irons (4' 5, and 6) not as easy as its looked. The logo in the botom of the grips sometimes disturbing it should be positioned 180 degree of the other side. Design is good looking but next-G of pro combe, I am sure will be much much better. Update: 6-16 By now I have played my new Nike pro combo (steel shaft) for about 4 months, but have brought them many times to driving-ranges. My appreciation to them does not change, except that I feel the material is a little bit too soft, especially when I hit the long irons (i.e. 4 and 5, I left my 3 iron at home). It is easily dent when it struck each others in the bag. So I need to cover it individually (I never done it before, even for my relatively more expensive irons). The long irons with full cavity back (3,4,5) need more mass on the back and the weight should be moved slightly to toe. If Nike targeting all handicaped players, the size (width) should be widden a lil. Again deted nike logo in the bottom of the grips is disturbing on taking stand. I have checked the graphite model but do not like the black collour. It does not matched with the shinny iron heads. Change the colour of the graphite shaft into silver Mr. Stites! Pro combo spped step stiff
I am not the world's greatest ball striker, but I have been much more consistent in length and accuracy with most other clubs even forged irons (Nike, Titleist) then with the pro combos. I played about 5 rounds with these and they just did not seem like they provided much room for error. I played with the Nike and Titliest 690mb forged and was much more consistent plus the feel is sweeeeet. These are just not for me. Customer Service Not used. Well ive had these a little while so thought id post a follow up review like some other people did. After the first thrill of the amazing butter like contact and distance control wore off, im not as big of fan. Actually what really changed things for me is that we can now hit of mats at the range instead of mats. IN the store and off the mats these clubs are awesome but they take to deep of divot for me. Its not the clubs fault as much as mine. I have a super steep swing and poor form. Off mats its not a problem but in the turf it is. Its not these clubs, most other players clubs will do this, i had the same problem with titliest 690's. Try to hit these clubs off the turf, or any other club for that matter to see if your really good enough to get them, not just off the perfect conditions of the store Ive got my set for sale cheap if anyones intrested, need to get something that has a sole to prevent digging. I know it might be better long run to rebuild my swing but i just dont have the time so its the easy fix of clubs that are easier for me to hit |

These clubs do take some getting used to like some other reviewers have said.If you are a long ball hitter then you will appreciate the blades in this set because they are easier to control than a big cavity back club. The 8,9,PW seem to provide good distance. The rest of the set is about 5 yards back of the Ping I3's.The stock shaft is better than expected.I got mine in a stiff flex and it seems to be a pretty good choice for someone that hits they're 5 iron at least 180 yards.Try this set out, they are great looking clubs! Also, best grips on a club from the factory.
