NIKE Mens Pro-Combo Forged Irons
Cannot quite fathom how people have lost distance using these irons. I have had these only three weeks and absolutely love them. I'm interested to get to the range asap to see if distance is an issue for the transitional clubs from cavity back to blade. Living in Colorado, I have noticed the ball travelling further because of the altitude but to me, I don't believe it goes THAT much further. Played the meadows here which is 6,999 and don't presently own a wood so it was 3 iron all the way. Managed to shoot a 78 (par72) and my putting sucked I thought. Never felt more confident standing over a ball with these things. Was going to purchase the Mizune Mp30's but these were hiding in a local pro shop second hand. Took them on the range for half an hour and happily handed over my credit card. Those of you thinking about changing your clubs or have tried the mizuno's - bear these in mind as I am over the moon...Just wanted to mention the shot distance didn't seem present for me...maybe lucky as my swings bad LOL! I traded a set of Callaway X-14's in for this set and am Happy I did. Once I got used to hitting the blades, lower irons my shot have improved considerable. I have lowered my score in 6 months about 5 strokes. With the X-14's I was shoting around the high 80's, now with the Pro Combo's it's the low 80's and I have on couple of rounds shot in the 70's. My distance is about the same, should be the shaft is the same in both sets. Customer Service no reason Similar Products Used: none |

I have only owned my Pro Combos a short time but I have to say they are the best clubs I have ever played with. I was a little skeptical about playing the blades but I found that the feel is incredible and I have gained considerable yardage with them. The last time I played I had an approach shot of about 190 yards uphill and against a skight breeze which is usally my 5 wood shot but I wanted to test the irons and I pulled out a 4 iron and put it within 15 feet of them pin. I was so impressed with the irons that since then I've also purchased the Nike TI 400cc Driver and the T-40 3 and 4 wood. Since purchasing all these clubs I've taken an average of 5-8 strokes off my game. Thanks Nike. Customer Service No experience yet Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Oversize and Titleist DCI's. |

I wasn't going to write a review until I read some of the others. Those players writing reviews about not as much distance, can't work the ball, etc are telling the truth. I shed these like water off a duck's back after 5 rounds. I am normally a 145-150 yard 8 iron guy--this set required a 6 iron? They are great looking clubs but the buck stops there. Wow! I love these clubs. I just bought a set of Hogan Apex Edge and felt they were just too heavy at the top. I originally hit the Nike Blade and loved the feel. I stepped out on a limb and bought the Pro Combos. I love these clubs. I took the 7 iron out on the range and was hitting it 10 yards further. The short irons have amazing feel and accuracy. I have to say that this is the best set of irons I have owned. As the head cover says, get the Pro Combos and hit more greens! Ok, I am not here to bash anyone, simply to state my opinion. First, a little background. I am a 6 h.c. and traded in a set of MP-29's (mistake) simply trying to add one or two more G.I.R. from the occasional toe shot. Ok, here it goes. These are some of the most asthetically pleasing clubs on the market. They make a beautiful transition from blade short irons to full cavity long irons. I am sure these clubs are not the worst on the market, since they came highly recommended. But, to me, the asthetics are where these cease to be the club for me. #1 these clubs were, once again, in my opinion, entirely too light. I could not ever get a sense of where the head was. #2 as far as feel, they can not even be compared to the mp's...everything from a 6 iron down felt like a thin toe shot...even when struck on the screws. #3 as a draw'er of the ball, I could not begin to express my horror with the "power fade" I obtained from the long irons. #4 these beauties were a FULL club shorter than my mp-29....(now how is that possible) #5 if you can get used to that boat oar (flange) that is visible at address on the long irons, then you are a better man than me. Well, that's about it...hope you have better luck than I did. Since, even though I view this site borderline religiously, I take reviews with a grain of salt. Peace :) Customer Service E-mailed customer service to obtain exact specs per serial # on my particular set. They were unable to tell! OMG Similar Products Used: None |

The procombo's was the first set I demo; I then tried, Ping, Taylormade rac's LT, Mizuno's mx-30 and 20's and cobra's. The nike procombo is definitely the best looking and did have a very light crisp feel to them off the matts. A little different on the course! The clubs also have a very nice address HOWEVER, buyer beware, these clubs do not hit as far as some of the other clubs I tested. You really should take these clubs out on the course before you buy to make sure they're for you!. I lost at least 10-15 yards on my irons. I hit a 7 iron consistently 165-170 yards and now average about 150 if that with the procombos. If you hit the ball perfectly, it goes fairly well. You must be a very versatile player because of the variance in the 3-6 irons 7- pw. I had to start all over and spend time at the driving range practicing my swing and set up. I was able to get it down fairly quick and I'm use to the clubs now; but for those of you who dont have a great swing stay away; DONT fall in love with the looks! Excellent marketing scam by NIKE and it works! If you do decide to buy these clubs check the club weight of your old set; if your use to the swing weight of your old set and must buy the Nike's, then get them weighted to your swing otherwise you'll go nuts trying to adjust your swing on these light wieght clubs. The other reviews do say, that the 7-pw are accurate and I would agree but even on a perfect strike, I still cannot match the distance of my older tommy armour 845's. my club head speed with irons is 98-105 mph. Think twice about buying these as a new set. good luck! Wow! I couldn't believe it at first. But it had to be true I was hitting these new Nike Pro Combo's 20 yards less than anything I ever used before. They felt like I was hitting soft grapes and the ball travelled about as far as a soft grape. I am not sure people even read these reviews...they all sound so glowing...but for my money, and it cost me a lot to learn this lesson. Why would anyone listen to a stuffed head cover recommending irons...even Tiger didn't agree with him. Clever marketing...lets sell some garbage and get a head cover to shill for them...Tiger can even disagree...chaching! What a chump I was. Buyer be warned. But they look pretty...I'll give em a 2. Customer Service I am too ashamed to ask for a refund...I listened to a stuffed head cover. Similar Products Used: Similar to these? Please! Everything else was a real iron set. |

I used Mizuno Pro2 for three years, I love them very much, then I tried the nike procombos, even softer than pro2. The most improtant part is the design really help me to hit those long irons. Now I am very confident on all of the iron shot. You should consider this new design from Nike when you wanted to buy new irons. Customer Service no customer service In Canada. |
