I've tried most of the forged blades on the market today. For the most part, they all seem to be about the same to me. To me, the most important aspect is the appearance at setup. The Nikes look great to my eye. I bought the Nikes primarily because they were the cheapest forged blades that I could find ($450 new, delivered from eBay). I find that the clubs are shorter than my Titleist 962 due to the weaker lofts and shorter shafts. Read a brief article on the comeback of forged blades: http://grouchygolf.blogspot.com/2004/06/forged-blades-redux.html

These irons are great. I have heard that they are not forgiving at all. But i guess that all depends on the golfer. Before i used these irons i had cavity backs and i averaged about a 9 handicap. Since using them ive dropped my handicap down to about 4. Id revvoment these clubs.

I normally shoot 78-85 on about any course, and have been playing that way for the last 10 years. So, I decided since my scores hadn't changed for such a long time, that I would try a different iron set (I was playing with Ping Eye2's). So, I picked up a set of Nike Forged Blades 2 seasons ago, and had difficulties with them from the start. They feel very balanced, and when you hit the ball squarely, it feels very nice as well. The main problem is the miss-hits and distance control, both of which I thought were supposed to improve with blades. CONS: There is no forgiveness in these clubs, and if you even slightly miss-hit the ball, it is consistently 10 yards short. Also, if you even touch the turf and its soft, you will be digging a trench. PROS: On the other hand, you never hit any flyers like you might with cavity-back clubs. Also, you can stop the ball on with just about any iron, on any type of green. Lots of spin, provided you can hit the greens that is. All in all, golf is a frustrating game to begin with, so why anger yourself even more with unforgiving clubs. I will be switching to something else soon...

I was pleasantly surprised by these clubs. I bought them having not tried them first, I was going on the glowing reviews I had read. A lot of people said that these are about a club shorter than their previous clubs. For me about a club longer. I think this may be due the fact that the clubs I was playing before were terrible. If anyone has heard of Wilson Triad Tour irons, they would understand. all told, these clubs feel wonderful, I am easily hitting the ball 10-15 feet closer to the pin on average, making putting a bit easier. I actually shot a 78 the other day, my best round ever, and it was because of the improved accuracy i had. Mis-hits varied for me, some were obvious, others a tad mushy, but on slight mis-hits, you won't be punished. All told, great clubs, I'll be hanging on to them for sure.

Kia Ora, I have just purchase my dream clubs since they finally came into my price range, I shoot between 77 - 83, Who ever said that guys like me cant hit blades, rubbish i actually hit cavity's worse than blades, I believe its a personal thing, They are everything i imagined the clubs to be, the feel is amazing, they respond well, look fantastic, and draws alot of attention on the corse. When i miss hit the blade, it dose the same thing my old cavity did when i miss hit them. They work for me fantastic and im only speaking for myself. They work for anyone if you want them to.

1.) Mizuno DOES NOT manufacture Nike Forged irons. Bridgestone does the manufacturing. Check out this link and read the article if you don't believe me. http://www.golfweb.com/story/4716639 Plus, on the boxes the irons come in it says shipped from Bridgestone to Nike. 2.) I played the old Cleveland Classic 588 muscleback irons for years. I also had a short stint with Hogan Forged APEX muscleback irons. Then I convinced myself that I'd play better with Big Berthas. Scores went up with those irons so I finally switched back to a muscleback and my scores came back down again. 3.) Don't be afraid to try muscleback irons. All the feedback they provide WILL help your golf game. 4.) When choosing a set of muscleback irons don't get caught up in people trying to convince you that Nike sucks, or Mizuno sucks, etccc. Go with which one you play best with. GOOD LUCK.

Ok Blades are not for everyone if you are scared by blades. Go read about big bertha Irons and be happy with the metal clunk feeling because you won't know about feel. These irons are great for low handicap players. Not forgiving on miss hits but lets face it they are not supposed to be. I changed from cavitys to these and the results i can hit shots left right fade draw high and low. I played blades years ago and like a lot of people bought into the cavity thing tried them and to be honest find them ok if you just want a straight high shot. But lets face it being able to shape your shot makes the game easier. My advice try them you might like them.

The nike irons are wonderful. Everyone says they are like the Mizuno MP-33, the reason, Mizuno makes Nike clubs. That goes for the drivers too. Precept makes the Nike balls. Look at the dimple patterns on the Tour Accuracy and the older precepts. I have hit the 33's and the forged and they are virtually the same. So Mizuno, well done and keep making Nikes the way they should be.

Who ever wrote the review that said that Tiger doesn't play Nike Blades, Knows absolutely nothing. I was just at the NEC Invitational and saw the Nike Blades in Tiger's bag. Although he was partial right because Tiger used to play custom Titleist blades with the T stamp. One word can sum up what I thought about the Nike Blades, "PERFECT".
