These are as sweet as a nut, lovely forged like butter feeling off the face. Got 3 -SW inc FW (10 Irons) with DG Lite S300 Shaft 1/2 Lng than Std and 3deg Upright. Distances are up on previous irons by 10 yds per club but more importantly direction has vastly improved, lovely high draw now. I had previously owned Mizuno irons in the past TPZ, True and Comp EZ and foolishly left them for 2 goes with Taylor Made Irons, what a mistake! not a patch on mizuno. If you want great feel when you strike your irons you have got to buy mizuno - period! Customer Service Never had to use it! Similar Products Used: Mizuno TPZ V.Good, Trues are great when you are on your game, Comp Ez great feel with ease of use but a little down on distance. TM 320 and RAC LT bricks on sticks!! |

I have been using my old Lynx Parallex Irons for about 9 years. Recently decided to upgrade my club to better suit my game. Searched around and tried many different brand and model. Decided to go with MX20 and have been using it for 5 months now. Great club. It does take some adjustment and getting used to it. It's heavier than my old club and thus I have to learn to let the club do the work and not forcing the issue. It does take me about 4 months to get used to it, but I love it. The major difference for me about this set is its ease of hitting for long irons. I am able to hit my 3,4, and 5 irons quite easily for the first time. Short iron is about the same, maybe a little longer on solid hits. Definitely a forgiving set of clubs. It's the first time that I am using my 3 iron more often than my 5 wood now. I've been playing with my MX 20's for a year and really love them. The forged head provides a lot feel even if you are not swinging well. And when you swing them smoothly and slowly, they fly straight and provide consistent distance. I've tried the new Taylor Made's and Big Bertha's and those clubs do not compare. The big chunky heads feel heavy and clunky. I really don't know if a 7 iron will fly 155 or 175 when hitting well. If I'm swinging well my Mizuno 7 iron consistently delivers 155-160. I'll take that every time. Similar Products Used: Big Bertha, Taylor Made RAC, Cleveland TA7. |

I have been primarily a forged blade player all of my life. As the amount of time committed to the game has declined so has ball contact. I got the MX-20s for some foregiveness without losing forged feel. I am very satisfied. It is fun hitting balls again. I don't mind the stronger lofts, either. One caveat. Std loft difference between 9 iron and Pitching Wedge is 5 degrees. You may feel the wedge is weak compared to the 9 iron. BUTTER: These clubs feel soft as butter when hit. I recently had Titelist DCI's that I have owned for 10 years. The MX-20's get 5 to 10 yards more distance and feel great when struck. Have no problem going after a target and am simply in love with these irons. Very forgiving and long, wish I would have bought them sooner. Although I'm still getting used to the clubs with the added distance I feel they will be in my bag for some time. Customer Service Not used Similar Products Used: Titelist DCI's |

I started playing three years ago and opted to start with Wilson Fat Shafts. I then steadily got myself down to app 88-92 when I decided to 'upgrade' to forged irons about four months ago. I am now unable to card any scores below 100 and have spent a small fortune on buying new golf balls. Whilst I accept that the mx 20 are quality irons they have added only the most horrific shank to my game, an error that I have never had even when I was completely new to the game.I can only now practice at the range and invest in more lessons to rid myself of this horror shot whilst my friends are all out enjoying the season. I am sure the fault lies with my swing and not the mx 20's, but at the moment I wish I hadn't changed from the fat shafts. Mizuno MX-20 forged irons
I got these clubs at Christmas 2002. My first try with a forged iron. I had tried them at a Demo day and they felt good. They also came recommended by a friend. However, I didn't have much success. I played about 6 rounds and had about 6 sessions on a driving range and could never get comfortable with the clubs. While I hit them about 5-10 yards longer than anything I have ever hit (about 200-yard 5 iron) I couldn't control them with any consistency. The irons were custom fitted, yet I was pulling or pushing most of my shots. I also hit a lot of fat shots. I think my game (14 - 18 handicap) was not ready for a forged club. I recently sold them on EBay and am going back to cast irons, probably Cleveland TA5. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: I will proably buy Cleveland TA5 for next set. |

Mizuno MX20 with TT Dynamic Gold Light S300 shafts
Bought these last September but have waited until now to post a review. Had so many bad habits from 14 years of using my Prosimmon DRK111 set (state of the art at the time and expensive but didn't realise how crappy they were!) that I wanted to see how much these clubs could do for my game before drawing a conclusion. Well, I have to say that they are fantastic. The feel off the sweet spot is bliss, off centre hits are only minimally penalised and the positive bounce and minimal offset almost entirely eliminate hooks and fat shots (used to be plagued with those blights). Am getting at least 15 metres extra per club (sorry Yanks we're metric down here), which I guess is to be expected with the stronger lofts, but also towering trajectory that you usually only dream about or see in the local PGA tournament. I would highly recommend the Dynamic Gold Lite shaft which seems to be the standard offering in Australia and Europe cf the Dynalite shaft offered standard in USA. My interpretation of other reviews is that the Dynalites would give even higher trajectory - for me the Dyanamic Gold Lites are perfect. Before buying these, I tried just about every contemporary model that you could name and nothing came close (well maybe the TaylorMade 300 - but there was still a gap). I couldn't be happier with these - I'm 47, 5'9"" and 68 kg (that's 150 lb for you guys) and it annoys my playing partners no end how far and well I hit these irons. Do yourself a favour! Customer Service Had a set custom made by Mizuno (Melbourne) and they turned up quickly and correctly. Can't ask for more than that. Wembley Pro Shop were very helpful too. Played these clubs for 5 months now. Used Wilson 1200 LT for the last 20 years so I don't have a lot of sets to compare them with. Love the soft feel!!! Every pubic hair stood on end. Never got that feeling before. Lived a sheltered life using my cast iron clubs. This has inspired me to play at least twice a week now. I'm hitting it great. Been in the 70's twice this year but mostly 80-85. Hit my 9 iron 140 yards now vs. 125 with the cast set. (Might not be the clubs but the fact that I'm playing twice a week). I've quit women and beer so I can fund my golf game. I sleep with my 7 iron when I get lonely. Saving up for a Mizuno Driver instead of a new truck. (help me...) Customer Service didn't require any services.... Similar Products Used: Wilson 1200 LT |

Mizuno MX-20 steel shaft
Like other people who reviewed these irons, I was apprehensive as to the fact these are forged clubs, and that meant experienced players only...Those apprehensions have been laid to rest after owning these for about two months now... I have these with steel shafts (Dynalite Gold S300). These shafts are great, and I feel like graphite (to me, anyway). My previous set was a $299 Wilson full set, and were great, but I felt that I needed an upgrade in order to evolve to a higher order of golf performance. The MX-20s are forgiving clubs that feel extremely creamy on well-hit shots, and go very straight. Mish*its even go where you want them to, but with a loss of some yardage (no big deal). Great feedback from these clubs. Distance control is NO problem...Love em...So accurate. Aesthetically, very pleasing, and for forged clubs, pricing was good. All in all, I am going to play these clubs for a long time to come. I've only been playing golf for about 4months now, and have played with these in the field once. I shot a 112 with these, and feel that that is a pretty good score for my first time in the field. Don't know how of that was due to the clubs, but the clubs did make me think I was good... Also, I bought these without even demoing them...Bought them strictly through the recommendations from this site. I have no regrets about buying such wonderful clubs. I HIGHLY recommend these clubs.
