I tested about 11 or 12 different top of the line, new technology irons from a spread of big names and when the dust settled I chose the mp-60. I have more control without sacrificing forgiveness. I get higher ball flight on the distance irons and more control on the scoring irons. I didn’t loose distance on a single club, and the best part about switching was the minimal amount of time it took for these clubs to replace my old set without even looking back once. I’m hooked

so pretty much this year i set out to make a change in irons....i am pretty sure i am slowing down with the growing. i had read all of the magazines and looked at alll of the reviews..nothing really seemed to have cought my eye like the mp-60's. then i asked my friend about them and he said NO WAY you could hit those... so i shrugged it off and thought about the mizuno mx-23's still forged but more forgiving...i tryed them thought they were solid. then i came into work one day and saw a demo set of the mp-60's tryed them AMAZING... to all of those people who think no way i can hit those...yea you can if you have a good swing...the ball flight is very high and when you thin it, the ball still goes far. so i ordered those...1 inch added and 2 degrees upright...truly amazing... when i want irons think MIZUNO!...

Mid to low 80's shooter. Great club, tried a titleist prior to the mp-60 and glad I kept testing. great feel, didn't take long to feel like I'd been using the clubs for years.

Highly recommend.

I'm a club-hound, buying and selling several iron sets each year (I don't want to think about all the drivers!). I'm in my mid-50's with a 5 handicap and have been playing golf for more than 40 years. During the past year, I've used MP-30, rac lt, S-59 Tour, i3 blade, Fusion steel and graphite, X-18, and VIP.

The MP-60's are staying in my bag! Got them new for $579 on ebay. Came with Dynamic Gold R300 shafts which were too soft for my 95 mph driver swing speed. I replaced those shafts with Grafalloy Blue stiff graphite, but I had a tendency to pull them. I found an old set of Dynamic Gold Lite X100 shafts lying around and tried them in the MP-60's. I think my searching is over! I'm hitting more par 3's and winning more greenies than I have in many years.

Thank you Mizuno.

I am 7 handicap and usually shoot around 79, 80 or 81 but when I get the putter and driver working on the same day go lower and can get it to 76 or so. How well I’m hitting the driver on any given day generally determines whether it’ll be low 80’s or mid to high 70’s.

That being said I wanted new irons not out of a belief that they would lower my scores - I generally hit iron shots about where I want to - but more because I had been playing that set, Ram Laser FX – S300, since they first came out in the early 90’s and just wanted to make a change. It definitely was not that I was unhappy with the Rams, quite the contrary in fact; it was because over those years I had hit some other irons and never found anything that had as good and solid a feeling at impact.

As it tends to be in the golf industry when somebody gets it right with a product – Pro V1’s, R7 driver, Cleveland wedges, 2 Ball putter, etc… marketing aside just look in the bag of better players and you’ll know what’s hot and what’s not. I was noticing a lot of the bags at my club, and other places I played, of good players had MP 60’s in them. I asked our pro about them in March and he gave me a demo iron and said “just throw this in your bag and hit it once in a while when you’re playing/practicing and that will tell you more than anything I could say about them.” I did that and later while hitting balls at the range pulled that demo iron. I loved the way the club felt but found I was hitting it a little shorter then my own 5 iron so wasn’t super impressed until I looked at the club and saw that while I had assumed the demo was a 5, since they usually are, it was actually a 6 iron which I had been hitting about as far as my five but with a higher, straighter trajectory. After that I hit it on the course and did some “testing” where I took a dozen shag balls and marked them with 1’s and 2’s and then hit the MP 60 and my Ram 6 into the same green. The 1’s, which I had hit w/the Miz, were tighter and a club deeper than the 2’s and were flighted on a better trajectory. I carried that 6 iron through May and bought the irons just after Memorial Day. The first shot I hit while playing them in a full round was a 175 yard 6 iron, from a fairway bunker to about 12 ft. In that same round on a long par 3 where I usually hit 5 wd. and have to cut it to take some distance off I hit a high soft 3 iron around 215 yds. into a decent breeze to 8 ft. I took dead aim at the flag and that shot never moved from the line I put it on.

These irons are all they are cracked up to be and if you enjoy and appreciate the feeling and flight of a well struck golf shot do yourself a favor and demo them, they’re the real deal!

Customer Service

No direct experince, other than the pro at our club, as I bought them from him w/S300's and all else standard. I usually play my irons 1 degree up and figured that after playing these would need to get them bent but so far I am very happy with the flight so have left them alone.

Another broken record playing the same tune!!! I am a low 90's player stuck in a rut I rarely broke with my Cobra SS "Game Improvement" irons. Having left blade style irons for the cavityback revolution in the hope of finding a more consistent ball flight. Over time and many sets, I lost the feel of what I was doing with my swing and actualy got worse. I ignored what everyone said about these players irons being for the low handicap player and had a partial set fitted (pw-5iron) along with 23 and 20 deg clk hybrids and low and behold,in my last 8 rounds i shot 5 of them in the 80's one of them a heartstopping 83 (have not done that in over 7 years). I love these things!!! The feel that allows you to understand what is going right or wrong with your swing is worth so much more than any other "game improvement" trick that has been devised. I will never go back to those so-called easy irons. If you really are serious about getting better, then you owe it to yourself to have an Iron that lets you know what you are doing, ESPECIALY when what you are doing is wrong. I play them 1" long, 2* upright and went to a softstepped s300 (I am slowing down my swing for repeatability). Boy are these things consistant. It is my estimation that any player with a semi decent swing willing to go to a lesson once in a while can advance their game with a mp-60/hybrid set such as mine. My new goal is to break 80 by summers end and I believe it may not be as hard as I once thought. KUDOS to Mizuno... Im in love!!!

I purchased these clubs after reading numerous reviews and talking with friends. I had recently been playing with Callaway X-16's. I found the callaways very forgiving but too offset for my liking. During the two years I played with these I shot in the 70's once. My prvious irons were Lynx Black Cat Tour with TT S300 shafts. I had played in the 70's and low eighties consistently with them. I wanted a "players' club that would force me to feel miss hits and fix the problem. I have these for two weeks and have played approx. 8 times. I've been in the 70's twice and my highest score was an 84. I could have easily shot mid 70's if I hadn't of choked on 17 and 18 with two triple bogies. I'm confident that going forward I would say these irons have shaved 3-5 strokes off if not more. My mid-two long irons have been the weakest part of my game. NOT ANYMORE I would consider it one of the strongest parts of my game now. I can honestly say you are doing yourself a a favor if you visit a pro who can custom fit you in a set of these. You'll be amazed at the feel. By the way, these are 2 degree up with an extra 1/2 inch. True Temper S300 shafts. Sweetness!!!!

These clubs look great, feel great, and perform great. I dont know why anyone would choose anything else when buying a set. Go to the store and demo them, and you will definitely want to buy them. They offer a decent amount of forgiveness, but the reason I like them is because I was looking for more of a blade coming off my set of Ben Hogan Apex Edge's. The MP-60's offer workability, and the best feel out there while maintaining the proper amount of forgiveness for the better than average golfer. The cut muscle is the newest iron technology, and I believe every serious golfer should capitilize from this wonderful invention.
