I've played Pings for the past 20+ years and was in the market for a new set. I have nothing but good things to say about Ping, but kept looking at the MP 60 set on the rack at my local club. That forged look just kept getting my attention.
I hit them on the range and decided to take the plunge. Was custom fitted and ordered a new set immediately. Service from Mizuno was outstanding. They were supposed to ship on a Thursday (one week from order date) but instead came in on the day they were to ship with my custom specs.
I've hit balls and played with them a couple of rounds and love the feel. Even the missed shots feel good and still fly a reasonable distance.
Kudos to Mizuno.

I enjoyed them but they rust easily and performance lacks in some areas such as short wedge approaches. Good feel and looks though. Quite pleased with the purchase but the price was a little steep.

very nice clubs
easy to hit, lots of forgiveness, but if you chunk with these, the ball ain't going any farther than your divot. This club digs into the ground because of its heavy head.
Very nice club anyway.

Hmmm... ok here is an honest review of the MP-60s. I bought these because they look like a million bucks, you generally can't beat Mizuno forged irons, and I was told they were forgiving enough for mid-handicappers. So, here are some pros and cons:

Pros: What they say is very true; when you hit the sweet spot, there's nothing like Mizuno forged. The first time I did it w/ these, I was like, "So that's how a good shot feels!" The trouble is, can your swing repeat that? Also, they're great out of the rough b/c they're heavy. The club tells that turf wassup, not the other way around. They are moderately forgiving, but very workable.

Cons: Most of us don't need workability though. All workability means to me is that, on mis-hits, I pay for it. And I'm not a bad golfer at all. Also, if you have a fairly low ball flight like I do, better get a different shaft (than the S300s I got). You'll need something w/ a mid kick-point; otherwise you'll be thinking "get it in the air" instead of "get it straight." One more thing; you should know that while they're the best looking clubs on the market, they ding up pretty easily in the bag. Consider the ol' Bag Boy Revolution, which I have. It keeps the clubs from banging together.

Conclusion: Forget about your handicap; what you need is a consistent swing. Unless you hit the ball fairly on-center and fairly straight on 8 out of 10 shots, there are other clubs that will give you better advantage. And that's an honest review.

Wow! I just received these clubs today.. I got the upgrade project x 5.5 shafts. I normally shoot right around 80. The first time a used these I shoot a 75. These clubs are pretty forgiving and very accurate. I hit 14 GIR. These are far the best clubs I ever hit.

ok, so i've had these clubs going on 3 months now and i custom ordered them with s300 sensicore shafts and new necade UT orange grips. these clubs are relly good clubs and im suprised no many pga pros are using them. they give good feed back and teach you to become a getter player. a flush hit equals a very soft feel thanks to being forged. even off center hits are not as harsh as one would think. i upgraded from my 1996 or older king cobra tour II oversize irons. some here have said that these clubs are not as long as others... well since all i have to compare to are my 10 year old set which 7 iron is my 150 club that i use on this elevated par 3 here at home which always lands on the front of the green. now with the mizuno 7 which is 2 degrees stronger i am now on the back of the green with the 7 iron. so all in all these clubs may not be for someong looking for length, they are for the person looking for accuracy, consistancy. but i'm pretty sure i can hit any comparable brand model club to the mp 60 the same yardage give or take 5 yards. for those wanting distance irons i'd reccomend those multi material irons from callaway and taylormade and also check the lofts of the irons your are testing

I traded in my beloved mp-30's this winter. I liked the idea of a little added forgiveness without losing that great forged feel. So far the MP-60's are as advertised.I have only played a few rounds with them, but they seem a half club longer than the 30's. I wonder about these guys that compare Mizuno forged clubs to cast Clown Shoes(r7/callaway et all). Did they ever actually hit a single flush shot with the mizuno? I doubt it, because there is nothing else like it.

This club is one of the best club out there, but you have to hit it in the SWEET SPOT if not you are going to loose a lot of distance. this club is for single handicap players. if your 10 or over dont bother.

great clubs,i read these clubs aren't long?.these are irons, therefore you need to know your yardages,if i hit a 7 iron 170 or 160,i don't care.what i do care about is that i know a "flush" 7 iron goes 170.after that you gauge your swing for the day & conditions. After playing for 30 years,Ping Zings,Hogan Apex,Taylor made lt,Callaway x14pro's,Mizuno pro's-i can tell a player that these are the real deal.!!.Great clubs teach you to play.Enough of the shovel heads, lets get back to striking a golf ball, ask Phil,he would have won many more if he played with MP-33's.his soul is lost and therefore his excitement.with the talent he has,PLAY GOLF.!!.Hogan had desire,Woods has deire, the rest have blessed skill,no balls, and too much cash.last thoughts''build a bag,practice,enjoy.''.

I purchased a set of MP 60's after reading reviews from Golfsmith. These clubs sounded incredible! To tell you the truth these clubs are two clubs shorter than the titelist DCI irons i purchased 3 years ago!The mizuno's might be a little more acurate in the short game . 9 thru pitching Wedge. But I think these Clubs are Overly rated! My Tommy Armor 845s were a better Club! And that was back in the 80's
