I just wanted to add my 5 stars to the reviews posted here. I am 49 years old and 6 months new to the game. I am also an American ex-pat living overseas, so finding anything is usually somewhat of a chore. I tried all the game improvement clubs out there but always hated the way they looked, the strong lofts, and the feel (or lack thereof). After reading all the reviews and deciding on the MP30s, I set out on a mission to find these gems. After three weeks of searching I stumbled across a like new set in a tiny used gear shop that was barely big enough to walk through, much less swing a club in. I bought them for $400 on the spot with neither a swing nor a second thought. I went to the range expecting the usual letdown but, lo & behold, these sticks were everything I'd hoped for and then some! Like most of you had stated - buttery feel, distance, and accuracy. I hit these clubs 15 yards further than any I'd tried despite the traditional lofts and my mis-hits, though short, were still accurate. I just love pulling out a seven iron, popping it 160 yards, and knowing that it's not a 5 or 6 iron with a 7 stamped on it. Talk about satisfaction! I could go on and on, but there's no need. These clubs are the real deal for any golfer. Thanks to all the reviewers for making my decision one that I will never regret!!!

Great set of clubs. i bought these five years ago, and i just can't find better clubs. these feel smooth and deliver good distance. they are not very forgiving, but what can you expect, they are forged and they bahave like clubs for better golfers. not a whole lot of perimeter weighting, and not a whole lot of offset. the combination of muscleback blade and cavity back design makes the ball flight a little low for my liking, so i plan to switch out the DG Gold S200 shafts that it came with, and replace them with Rifle 6.0 shafts. i have read in some other pages that this combo gets the ball higher. i'll just believe them. i've sprayed some bad numbers with these, but i also shot my best all time round of 77 3 years ago. i've sniffed the 70s a dozen times since then, but have managed to shoot myself on the last two holes to deflate my round. (TEE SHOT AND PUTTING) if you can find these clubs for cheap, give it a try. these look sharp and play very well. look at the rating it gets. 144 reviews can't all be wrong, right?

I ran across a set (4-PW) at my local used sports store for $199. After sleeping on it, I returned to the store, traded an old driver and some wedges and picked up the set for $80. Couldn't pass on that deal. I was eager to try them so I took them for a spin. I struggled with all of my clubs that day so my evaluation is limited. However, on those shots that were good, I can say this set was an excellent choice. The feel is amazing and the balls seems to fly 5-10 yards further than my set of irons. I plan to spend more time on the range with these to get the full benefit.

I made a comeback last year after 15 years not playing golf. My V721 was bit rusty so after reading several review,I decided to try MIzuno iron.
I went to shop and tried Mp-30,32,33,60.
Mp-32,33 was too much for me(my shot was rusty also),30 felt more softer than 60 but could not decide because here in Japan, both 30 and 60 cost about same and newer model was more tempting. So I searched for US version through intenet and found MP-30 for half the price plus had same DGs300 shaft as of my former V721.Japanese mizuno stock model only offer only s200 or s400, and again special order costs 20% more, around (more than $1,000 without tax!!!)
After I got my set, I went to craftman and
adjust the lie. On way back, I tried them out at hitting range. My first impression was this club is easier than full cavity V721. Sorry for my expression, but I can feel the weight of the clubhead and as long as I don't overswing, this club does rest of job. It is hard to describe but I had to slap the shot to lauch the ball using V721 while MP-30 give the lauch as long as you hit them right. I can swing in more slow tempo, distance of each club are more consitant. And so called butter impact tells me whether I made a mistake or not. I am confident that by practicing Mp-30,my score will improve faster.

Love these clubs! Beautiful looking clubs with a feel like no other. Unbelievable. Got them 2 weeks ago and I am having so much fun with them. At first i was intimidated by the small size of the clubhead, but after my first couple of swings they felt unbelievable. Now I understand what other reviews meant by the buttery feel of shots. Amazing. Do not be scared of these clubs if you are a high handicapper. With practice these clubs will improve your game. It worked for me. Its the only way to improve. Do not go for those big clunky new game improvement clubs like the ones from Callaway or Taylormade. The feel on those are nothing close to the feel you get on Mizunos. My handicap is down, my game has improved and my confidence is sky high. I cant say a single bad thing about these clubs. Only bad thing is the heads get nicked because they are forged. That doesnt affect your game so its ok. One of the best irons ever created. Mizuno all the way.

This set of clubs is amazing. I am a high handicapper, but playing with these clubs the past 2 months have helped my game immensely. These clubs basically force you to get better. I was averaging just about 100 a round when I first got these, but last week I finally broke 100 and shot a 94. As stated in previous reviews, when you hit these clubs solid, it feels so buttery smooth. They aren't as forgiving as my previous set of clubs, a hand me down set of Ping Eye2s (great clubs even though they are 20 years old), but they definitely have better feel.

Prepare to practice. At first, these clubs will humble you. It took a good month, but now I can't imagine playing any other irons (except a "pure" Mizuno blade someday). A true, flush, swing turns into a kind of ecstasy when you hit MP-30s; sometimes, you look down and wonder if you missed the ball (but in fact, it is soaring at a nice mid-trajectory (except for the scoring clubs, which can get a lot of air under them). I think all Mizuno users know this feeling.

Don't fear the forged club, whatever your handicap; and especially don't fear the MP-30's, which are forged, but also include forgiveness in the form of reasonable weight distribution. A miss-hit shot feels like a miss-hit but still travels well (though arrives short, no doubt).

The key is to fit the clubs to your game. Check your divots and figure out your lie angle. With MP-30's the lie angle is critical. I can't stress this enough--end the misery and adjust your lie and watch the ball fly straight. And get the correct shaft and flex. Swallow your pride and play the right flex. Chances are, you are a flex below what you think you are. I play Harrison Lite regular flex shafts and they offer a wicked snap (or kick)that gives me thrills everytime. And this despite a relatively slow swing on my part.

Join the brotherhood (heck, sisters can play too!). Play Mizuno's.

The best iron I ever played!!!! Im a decent golfer probably a 10 handie. I buy the mp-60 last month and I like them, but I used the mp-30 for the past two weeks and this clubs are way better that the mp-60. The feel, men!! Butter just like that, and right know the price will make you buy them over the mp-60.
Dont be afraid to buy forged irons, it will force you to play your best game.

This set of iron is the reason why I will stick with Mizuno, if I were to buy an another set of iron. So good, I got rid of hybrid and bought MP30 2 iron.

I tested/compared with MP60, and couldn't tell too much of differences except for the physical appearance and PRICE. (bought used)
