I picked up a set of these on Ebay, just to try them out, not expecting them to replace my MP 32's. I was immediatly impressed with these irons, they just felt perfect to me. What I like is that they are a low flight cavity back iron and ball really jumps off of these. I have tried the MP60's and they do not work at all for me, same shaft is 1 club shorter and ball really baloons. I found the MP 30's easier to hit than the 32's, although some people will disagree with that. That's what scared me away from these in the first place. Overall a very underated Mizuno iron that can be picked up for less than $200 on Ebay! Great value.

i got these off craigslist for $200, i couldn't ask for better irons, they definitely have the buttery feel, i like to work the ball and the blade aspect is perfect for it, also for a blade they are a lil oversized and i havent had a miss hit yet, i havent even taken them to the range yet, when i got them i went to the course 30 minutes after and were so easy to hit, first 3 times used, was within 15 feet of each pin, highly recommended for low to mid handicappers trying to take their game to the next level, mizuno 4 life

I got these used online, and I lvoe them!!! There a little heavy but are easy to get distance on. They have a buttery feel when hit good and are pretty forgiving for this type of club. I have added probably 10 yards to my swing. However this is not the best club for weekend golfers, these irons require practice and patience! It doesnt matter if your handicapp is 2-20 as long as you practice practice practice! If you can find these clubs 200 bucks or lower do not hesitate to buy them! Awesome clubs.

These are by far the easiest to hit forged clubs. I've practiced with the mp-32s before and are easier to work than the 30s, but don't fly quite as far. Almost as important as the head is the shaft. I was fitted with the project x 6.5 shaft. Initially I was hitting most shots left, but I realized that you have to swing hard to get the proper reaction out of the club. I had wanted these clubs since they came out around 2003. There were too many trips to golf galaxy demoing clubs. I finally got them in 2006 on special order. Even though Mizuno had came out with several other models since the mp30 inception, these still take the cake.

Great buttery feel when hit flush. Makes you drool. However these aren't for the weekend golfer, unless you go to the range once or twice a week. Love the feel of these clubs but find them one club less than what I used to use. I used to hit an 8 iron 150 yards but now need a 7 iron to hit the same distance with these clubs. It's worth it though. These clubs are very workable and you can shape shots at will. Love them.

I played these for 4 years and they are definitely amazing clubs - it literally feels like nothing when you hit a shot pure. The reason I switched to TaylorMade LT2s is that they are more forgiving. The MP 30s lost 25+ percent on a miss-hit, but the LT2s lose 10-15 percent. I would recommend these to a great ball striker, but not to someone like me who gets out 3 times a month. I will miss the feel of forged Mizunos, but love the LTs....

Up until about 4 months ago I would only play golf about once every 6 months or so and would shoot in the 90s. At that time I was using Cobra CXIs, not a bad club for how often I would play because they were very forgiving and I didn't worry about working the ball or getting much feedback. Once I caught the golf "fever" though I knew I needed a club that would give me feedback so that I could work on my swing mechanics, so I picked up a set of Zuno MP-14s for 100 bucks. Blades are definitely not the kind of club to play if you are only playing once and a while and don't really care much about progressing. I've been playing golf now for about 4 months straight (using first MP-14s and then the 33s cause I found a set in much better shape that were a steal) at least 5 days out of the week (either course or range) and my handicap dropped from 25 to 15. When my handicap went to a 15 and I learned how to work the ball, I decided that I've earned a little bit more forgiveness, so I wanted the mb/cb hybrid. After reading tons of reviews on all types of clubs, I found a set of the mp-30s in great shape for 200 bucks on ebay, had them fitted, and haven't looked back since. I've been using them for about a month now and let me just say: Wow! They are easier to hit than the blades due to the larger sweet spot, still giving great feedback, having that unbelievable buttery soft, forged feel as the blades, and most importantly they still have the same amount of workability. These clubs (as well as blades) aren't necessarily for people with high or low handi's; they are for people who PLAY CONSISTENTLY and WANT TO PROGRESS their game.

All in all, they bring the BEST OF BOTH MB'S/CB's WORLDS. They will be in my bag for a long, long, time.

Just got back from playing a round with my "new" (used) MP-30's. I have never, in my 35 years of playing golf, had so much fun hitting a golf ball.
I read all the reviews here before deciding on MP-30's and was hoping that the hype wasn't going to outstrip the performance.
Good news, fellow golfers: these irons are the real deal, by far the sweetest clubs I've ever played. My last irons were Australian Blades, and they were a big improvement over the cavity backs/ game improvement clubs I'd played before.
The first difference I noticed with the Mizuno's was that they felt heavier, especially in the clubhead. This new weight begged me to swing these clubs differently: smoother, slower. And when I allowed the club to do the work, shots were ROCKETING off the face with a crisp sssSSWHASSSHH! ,boring the ball towards the pin.
To say the least, this is a new experience for me. The superb balance of this club makes it easy to just swing, and let the club do its thing.
No club I've ever played has the sweet, smooth, effortless, powerful combination like the MP-30's
If you're thinking I'm exaggerating, go ahead and snag a set cheap for under $250 and get ready to become yet another believer in the supremacy of Mizuno grain-flow forged irons.
(No, I'm just a regular guy like you :)
not a Mizuno rep!)

Best club ever. Buttery feel, half cavity half blade hybrid. What more can you ask for? People said that these clubs would be hard to hit just by looking at them. Do not listen to that nonsense. Those people do not have the guts to hit anything other than those ugly game improvement big fat sticks out there. These clubs help your game like none other. These clubs are amazing. I shaved off my handicap easily. And they just look beautiful in your bag.
