Awesome... Feels like butter. Just purchased after using cavity backs for 7 yrs. I can actually draw the ball with these. Don't be scared of the term blade.

The best irons i owned. i previously owned cobra II irons. i bought this a month ago and i've never played better. i played my lowest round with these, 6 over with one eagle. very easy to hit, even the 3 iron feels solid all the time. never hit my cobra 3 iron this far and straight. these irons will be with me for a very long time. high handicap players will surely improve with these clubs.

I bought the 2 iron new via 3 balls golf early January '07 and thought if I can hit it alright I'll buy the rest of the set. Well, I bought the rest of the set (3-PW) brand new via eBay (3 Balls Golf) for a steal (less than half the price I was quoted in Australia!).
Unfortunately I was going through a major swing/grip reconstruction when they arrived so haven't really made the most of them until recently (I was struggling with a big outside in swing). I'm an 11 handicapper and honestly thought these would be too much club for me. That’s not the case at all and I can hit these better than my older Cobras - you do get severely punished for distance though with mistimed shots but hey, that’s the sign of better clubs and makes you improve your game.
I have a couple of 4 handicap mates (both using Titleist 735CM) who have tried these clubs and they both love them, to the point where one wanted to swap his Titleists with me after borrowing them and shooting a 72 off the stick first time he'd used them (he wasn't joking either!).
These were an absolute steal and I landed them in Australia for about AUD$650 (I was quoted AUD$1350). Despite having been released for a few years now they are still right up there with the best of today's clubs.
If you can track down a set in good condition for a good price then grab them while you still can. The feeling from these when struck well is like butter and I couldn't be happier. These will be with me for a long time.

I formely used Golfsmith Tour Cavity Forged clubs with Rifle Flighted 5.5 shafts. I took my recently bought MP-30 out this weekend for three rounds. I have to say these clubs live up to their reputation. I normally don't carry a 3 or 4 iron but took them along to try them out. I have to say they will stay in my bag. Mizuno seemed to perfect the progessive offset making the longer irons very easy to hit straight. I played a whole round using my three iron instead of my driver and shot an 81. One thing that seemed to make these clubs so good for me was heavier swing wieght and the the True Temper DSG S300 shafts. The heavier swing wieght seemed to keep my tempo in check and I literally felt the shaft load and unload, something I very rarely felt with the rifles. Definately the best iron I have ever hit.

Butter. Thats what a solid shot feels like. I recently switched from Taylormade RAC LT's, and the difference between the two is like night and day. I'm an 11 handicapper, and the Taylormades are very, very good clubs, they just don't have the same feedback as the MP30's. The MP30's are not as forgiving as the LT's, but I feel they "force" you to make a good swing. These are about a 1/2 club longer than the LT's, (for me, your results may vary) and as mentioned not as forgiving, but put a good swing on these, and you'll be pleasantly rewarded. And the feel, oh yes, the feel. Butter. These will be in my bag for a long time to come

Im a decent golfer probably a 12 handie. Ive been getting better and some of it due to these clubs. I shot my first 79 (lowest round) last year and my first eagle also(on a par 4 one hop and in!} These clubs are amazing, deadly accurate and desently long. They are not hard to hit at all (but a really bad mis-hit will be punished in length). I got a great deal for them (200 bucks!) but even if I paid $1000 for them they would be worth every penny...honestly. You can work these clubs any which way you want, definatly a shot-makers set.

This is the first time in my life that I’ve ever owned a matched set of golf clubs, let alone a set of this caliber. Every other set had been a ragtag collection of off-brands and worn-out relics that could scarcely hold on to a golf ball anymore. I had no idea what a new grip felt like, and looking down at a scuffed, dented and dull piece of metal at address didn’t instill much confidence in me or my game. As a result, my game suffered greatly, as did my playing partners. Their time between shots was spent searching for every single ball I hit, trying to keep the groups behind us from sticking death threats to our cart with Post-It Notes.
This year I had the good fortune to happen across a set of MIZUNO MP-30 irons (3 through PW) at a steal of a price. They were fitted with Rifle 5.0 steel shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips. I’d been given a Mizuno Omega cart bag the year before for Christmas (I was planning to return to golf at that time, having not played in years), so I had a place to keep a good set of clubs, and was ready to buy some Mizunos. I wasn’t ready, however, for the difference they would make in my golf game….
My first trip to the driving range with my new treasures was an anxious moment. Had I wasted my money on a set of clubs that were too much for me? Would the Golf Police come and confiscate them as soon as they watched my swing? I pulled out the three iron, teed up a ball, recalled every single golf tip I’d ever read or watched, addressed the ball and swung. Now, I’ve hit a lot of golf balls in my life with a lot of different clubs, but I’ve never actually felt the ball through my fingertips before. It was the most eerie and fantastic feeling I’ve ever known on a golf course. It was as if I could feel the ball on the face of the club, and I almost knew exactly where the ball would go. There was a quiet, solid click sound at contact, and I watched the ball arc gracefully, quickly and straight (I have a terrible slice) down the range. I was awe-stricken, excited and satisfied, and had I not been fifty years old, I would have screamed and danced for joy. These clubs feel so good that I’ve scheduled a three-day golf instruction getaway just so I can do these clubs some justice. They make me want to be a golfer – a better golfer. I want to feel that ball through my fingertips again and again. The MIZUNO MP-30 irons will do that and more.

After 12 years of use and getting my handicap down to a 6, I finally decided at the beginning of the season to retire my Ping Eye 2 and invest in a set of forged irons. I wanted forged because I wanted to be able to get more workabilit out of the club that the Pings did not have( at least for me). My county club pro is an authorized fitter for Ping, Titleist, Callaway, and Mizuno. Ping does not have a forged club on the market and I just do not like the look and feel of Callaway clubs though I did here very good reviews about their forged club; the X Tour. I have constantly heard over the last couple of years that Mizuno is by far the best forged club maker out there. So I set up an appointment with my pro to get fitted for either a set of Titleist or Mizuno's(I was fitted for my Pings which resulted in 1 degree flat and 1/2 inch short. That was twelve years and a 21 handicap ago). Money was not an issue so I wanted to hit every different model he had. After an hour on the range and swings with numerous Mizuno and then Titleist clubs, one simply stood out. It was the Mizuno MP30.
The club just felt like it belonged in my hands. I know nothing about swing weight but all I can say is it felt perfectly balanced to me when I swung it. Almost like it swung itself. So i had him put the order in and 5 business days later they were at the club house. I went and did 18 with them and the only word I can come up with to describe them is INCREDIBLE. I do not think I have ever hit an iron better than I hit these.I could even hit the 3 and 4 iron with relative ease. I could work the ball left to right, right to left, low or high. And talk about accurate. On my mis-hits ( which were few and far between with these clubs) I was still only 5 yards at the most off the green. When I hit it good I was on the green in the scoring zone every time. I carded a 76 the first time out. Since putting these in my bag 6 months ago my handicap has gone down to a 4 and on two occasions shot even par, which I have never done before. I cannot give these clubs a good enough review. I simply believe they are the best on the market. And for a price of only $500.00, I consider that a steal considering I plan on having these in my bag in ten years( i use iron covers to protect the clubs from hitting each other). If your in the market for a new set of clubs and believe you found the ones for you, try the MP30 before you buy. I think you will be delighted at what a great club Mizuno has.
