A little background. I started with X-14 on graphite shafts, moved to Cobra SS-i's, then I discovered the MP series. I started with MP 33's and last year I switched to MP 30's. MP 30 are a bit harsh in the feel department.

I have to be honest here with anybody looking to buy a set of MP 30's/ DONT!!!
Customer Service Mizuno is a great company they will help you verify serial numbers always call before you buy a set used with the serials. Similar Products Used: I have hit mostly all of them and the 30's are the worst you will ever hit. Every golf shop has plenty in the used section and cannot sell. |

I replaced my Callaway X18s with a set of MP 30s as I thought that I was becoming lazy with the chunky Callaways and needed something less forgiving with more feel to make me concentrate more on the ball strike. How right I was. The Mizunos immediately helped give me a cleaner strike and better ball flight. The 3 and 4 iron drill the ball toward its target and the scoring irons react so well to shaping.

cha-ching! THATS THE SOUND OF MONEY COMING STRAIGHT FOR YOUR DOME. No lies. These irons are like fine wine, they keep getting better with age. i have 5 sets...Although weight is a little on the heavier side, feel is like striking a butter ball off an invisable tee. With an oily swing you can shape balls like clay. I would compare this set to the titleist 690cb and ben hogan apex edge pro, both great forged irons in there own right. is it not Crazy all three sets can be had for only a song on ebay? The biggest difference in the mizunos is weight and feel, anybody that plays real golf will tell you what it feels like to pure a mizuno...its like muddled dull smoooschhh and is understandably effortless. You will know when you mint one, your brain and hands and eyes will tell you ,but the ball will show you. Mizunos new offerings are nice but for a g, why bother. I can and have played everything on this planet earth and yet i bag a set that was born in the early 90s, that should tell you something, and the fact that im a +2. In the end, do what you want, its your money and its your golf game. but if you want to get better and actually start playing golf buy a mizuno. oh and um try the new vokey wedges. Customer Service have not used mizuno. |

PURE.......... That is all I can say. These clubs took me to the next level. I will admit I work on my swing everyday with a professional net in my garage but these clubs are so underrated. I changed my whole swing to use them. That is not saying you need to, I am just somewhat of a flawed perfectionist. I wanted to be dead on every time so I picked a club I heard so much mixed reviews on. Most say these clubs are harder to hit than all the other Mizuno's. They are a demanding club that REWARDS. You must make a controlled accurate swing, once you get that part down they are heavenly. If you get cocky and want to hit home runs they will sting you on miss hits. What winds up happening is tempo changes and ball striking becomes precise. If you are someone who plays the game once a month by a used set of MX 23's. If you are a golfer that wants to score low and be rewarded for honing your craft with patience and diligence these are for you.

I bought a set of MP30s on ebay about a month ago. I could not be happier. They are by far the best irons I have played. Ball flight is a mid flight and long. Great feel as well. I have owned Mizuno Pro, Tommy Armour 845s, 855s, Ping eye 2s, S59s .....none compare to the MP30s. Nice head weight....Not sledgehammer heavy but heavier than some out there.

I am a Mizuno junky who has switched ocasionally to Titleist a couple times because of the heavier head, but it wasn't until recently switching to MP30's have been Perfect for my game. Have played and owned MP30 MP32 MP57 MP60. For me the the MP30 is the best of them all. The ball has lower flight a ton of feedback postive and negative seems to be as long or longer than the other listed. The weight of the MP30 feels more like the heavier Titleist head. The MP57 is in my opinion the worst Mizuno I have ever used, Very light head and too big. numb feel and no distance. The MP32 is great just a bit to demanding to hit the center of the sweet spot (still a great iron). The MP60 has higher ball flight and does not have the distance of the MP30 or MP32 but is very forgiving on mis hits(still alittle light), All this being said and lots of dollars being wasted you can buy a set of 30's for less than 200 on Ebay and they are just a playable as all the newer MIZY's. The weight and head size is perfect. Mizuno tends to be to light for me but not the MP30, Titleist irons still tend to go further but you will give up the butter soft feel of the MIZY in return, as long as you know how far each clubs goes the distance on an irons is relatively unimportant. TWO BEST IRON SETS I HAVE EVER OWNED ARE MP 30 and The Titleist 735 CM. Similar Products Used: ALL TITLEIST FORGED IRONS 690cb 735cm, Cleveland CG red (not good), All MP MIZY up to the MP57 and MX 23 |

Mizuno MP-30
Hello golf world. Today i took a trip to my local used golf shop and tested a set of Mizuno MP-30 irons steel shaft stiff flex. I did a side by side comparison with my titleist 690cb irons. The MP-30's are miles ahead in distance and accuracy. It was an amazing feeling. The ball simply explodes off the club face. Shots that were hit in the center of the club face had a slight fade to the right with very little lose in distance. Most forgiving forged iron i have ever hit hands down. You don't have to take my word for it. YOu can find these clubs for under 200.00. They are an amazing set of irons. They will stay in the bag for a long time to come. these irons are lovely! i changed to these irons from callaway x14s. straight away when i hit the first shot with the mp30s i was amazed. there was a lovelt penatrating flight with a lot of spin and control! i am able to work the ball with a nice little draw or when my swing is off i can fade the ball. the are easy to hit and very forgiving! even the 3iron is relatively easy to hit. i got an extra 10yards distance from them and more accuracy! i would recomend them to low to mid handicappers or anyone who is a relitively good ball striker! |
