Can you say WOW. I've hit many forged irons over the years, and these by far are the best. Currently I have the Titleist 690MB's in the bag. When I get used to the MP30's they will take over. I would recommend these irons to anyone who loves to feel the "nothing feel" with every shot. Customer Service Not used yet. Similar Products Used: Titleist 690MB,CB, 990, 962, Hogan Apex |

Nice job Mizuno. Was playing the Pro T-Zoid's for three years prior to getting the MP-30's. Totally different clubs and pretty obvious when considering the designs. The Pro is workable, medium trajectory ball flight with DGS300 shafts but doesn't give the sensation of the ball "melting" into the clubface like the MP-30's do. That feeling alone is worth the price paid in my opinion. The MP-30 is an extremely workable iron and the swing balance of the set is superb (for me at least). Toe shot's of any forged club are going to flat-out stink and these are no exception. But, if you have a consistent swing they pretty much go where you point them and the distance control is superior. No guesswork involved on approach shots if you know the yardage that you hit the various irons. I got the non-Sensicore Dynamic Gold S300 shafts with just the regular GP Tour Velvet grips. Coupled with the MP-30's higher COG, the shafts do a nice job of keeping the ball down. It is impossible to "balloon" a shot with these irons. Beautiful craftsmanship and finish, no bells and whistles graphics, sets up nicely to the ball.....just looks great at address. Customer Service The only drawback would be the 3 1/2 weeks it took to get a standard set of clubs shipped out the door. I don't know if that is Mizuno USA's inefficiency or just the fact that they can't make enough. Worth the wait. Similar Products Used: Mizuno Pro T-Zoid. |

These are terrible! The blades are much more solid and playable. These clubs are heavy and feel like 2x4's. All these pro's writing how great they are have huge ego's wanting to sound like blade players. Do not believe it, these clubs have less feel and less forgiveness that the MP14 & MP33. I had them for 4 buckets and three rounds (I am a 3 hncp) and took a hit on them just to get rid of them. I am back to my old MP14's and MP29 combo set. A great new set is Taylors RAC LT. WOW! I bought these yesterday and played them today. Had the best ball striking day I've had in a year. And I think with time it'll only get better. Very solid feel, nice dispersion pattern and great distance control. About as long as the KZG blades I've been playing, maybe a hair longer. What I like most (so far) are the long irons. Boring trajectory and not bad on mis-hits. I have never been a great ball striker, but I think that may change with these irons. They look great at address and inspire confidence, which for me is huge. I would recomend these irons to lower handicappers (0-9 indexes). I would consider them game "enhancement" not game "improvement" clubs. So if you already have a solid iron game, try these out. I bet a lot of blade players will switch to this type of club because they still allow you to work the ball, have good distance control and are a little more forgiving on bad swings. That's it... Replaced my MizunoT-Zoid Pros with 1/2 inch longer Dynamic Gold lite R300 shafts. Great ball flight with all the irons, mid trajectory with slight draw at the end when struck well. Not bad on mis-hits, not as forgiving as the T-Zoid, but very playable. Great feel and I expect ball control to improve as I get more used to the longer shaft. Got the lighter shaft as I felt I needed a lighter club as I am now 59 and the T-Zoids feel heavy. Customer Service Special order took ten days, clubs came in as ordered. I never thought I would play blades again, but a friend of mine had MP-30s and I hit one on the range. What a nice feeling club. They are a little less forgiving on mis-hits, but when hit on or around the sweet spot, the distance control is great! |
