Mizuno MP-14 Irons

Mizuno MP-14 Irons

DESCRIPTION

A favorite of dozens of PGA Tour Pros, the MP-14TM is one of the most popular forged blades on the PGA Tour and features a clubhead made of Grain Flow ForgedTM mild carbon steel. These nickel chrome plated forged blades are as solid as they look, delivering the feel and performance demanded by accomplished players. The MP-14 irons feature a cut-away muscle-back contour design with a slight offset to generate feedback and excellent workability. They also feature rolled leading edges to reduce turf drag.

The best thing about Mizuno MP 14's is that they make it look as though you are actually a good player when others look in your bag and see those shiny blades. These clubs, however, have some disadvantages. Namely, even for good players they can be tough to hit if you're not swinging too good. The short irons are great. Conversely, the long irons are worthless (hitting them may convince to put that old "ginty" back in your bag or buy a nine-wood - I sure sign that you are either old or just plain suck). Unless you hit it as pure as Ben Hogan, you should jump on the technology bandwagon and get some cavity back clubs that will actually help your game. Although these clubs are beautiful to look at, at the end of the day, that number on your scorecard is a lot more important than how your clubs you in your bag.

These iron's are incredible. I used to play the Titleist 990's but when I hit the ball it felt like a rock. I needed something more soft and pure. These will give it to you. I believe that they also make you a better player. They teach you to hit the ball almost perfectly every time. I'm a junior golfer and need consistancy. Every time i stand over the ball I have the most confidence ever, even over a long iron. If you have a good swing and are consistant with your shots these are for you. Make sure you try all the Mizuno clubs befor you buy.

Wow....I am 15 yrs old and a 4 handicap. I switched from a very old set of hand me down Ping Eye 2s, and these clubs are soo sweet. At adress, you are so confident that the ball will just take off, and the feel is amazing..Not the most forgiving golf club, but that is to be somewhat expected..If u want new clubs and are thinkin of switching to a blade..GET THESE!

These have to be without a doubt the best clubs I have ever own, who says you have to be a low handicapper to hit blades, I think switching to the MP-14's have improved my game totally. I have even added distance, 5-8 yards per club, just goes to show you when you but top of the line, you get top of the line performance!!!!!

I bought these as a clearance item before the MP-33's came out. I really like the custom fitting and cutomer service from Mizuno.

I have had these clubs for about 2 years and I can honestly say that I will never sell them. They are easy to hit with no loss in distance and the shot workability with these irons is the cream of the crop. I have hit some really great long iron shots with these that I will never forget. I recommend these or other Mizuno Irons to any player looking for a master crafted set of irons.

One of the best blades I have played so far. I haven't play it all, so I can't say it is the best, however, it was better than the Titleist blades that I have tried. Compare to the Titleist, the sweetspot felt harder, which translate more feedback. I also like the weighting of the MP-14, it feel just right for me. I think it says something when Titleist tried for more than a year and a half to get these out of Tiger's bag.

These are the best clubs on the market, period!! The look they give at address is unmatched. Nice penetrating trajectory, soft as warm butter, and more forgiving than you think. I have played many sets of clubs for many years, but these are here to stay.

Great golf clubs!! I switched from using Titleist 962 and was more than a little concerned about the MP-14's slightly weaker (2 degrees) lofts. To my suprise, the Mizuno's did not give up 1 yard in distance loss. In fact, the MP-14's hit the ball a little farther (about 2 yards). This may be due to a slightly heavier head. You can really feel where the clubhead is at all times. Don't be intimidated about trying these clubs if you are a higher handicap. They are fairly forgiving. Good shots feel pure as the driven snow and are a shotmakers dream. High, low, draw, fade and straight, you name it and it delivers. I bought these at Fogdog.com for the price of $559. Yes, this price is right. If you order on or before 6/15/00 and enter the coupon code FPR26 on the last page before checkout you will receive a 20% discount (these clubs sell for $699 at Fogdog)! If you want to get your game to your next level, by all means buy these clubs at this price and you will never look back.
